A 41-year-old man, who had undergone descending aortic repair following rupture of the DeBakey type III aortic dissection, underwent thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair 1 year after the first surgery. The operation was performed by partial-clamping and single crossclamping without using assisted bypass or shunt, in order to minimize bleeding ensuing the re-thoracotomy and dissection between lung and the graft.  相似文献

Our purpose was to evaluate whether maternal and fetal nitric oxide synthesis in pregnancies with small for gestational age (SGA) infants are different from those in pregnancies with appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants. Maternal and fetal circulating nitrate and nitrite concentrations were compared between 30 pregnancies with AGA and 10 pregnancies with SGA at birth. End-products of nitric oxide synthesis were measured in maternal and cord venous blood samples using a fluorometric assay. Umbilical artery blood pH and PO2 were also measured. Maternal circulating nitrite and nitrate concentrations (6.91 +/- 1.27 microM) in pregnancies with SGA were significantly lower than those (11.69 +/- 1.33 microM) in pregnancies with AGA (P = 0.015). Fetal circulating nitrite and nitrate concentrations (7.54 +/- 1.09 microM) in pregnancies with SGA were also significantly lower than those (11.24 +/- 1.08 microM) in pregnancies with AGA (P = 0.024). There were no significant differences in umbilical artery blood pH and PO2 between the two groups. These results suggest that maternal and fetal nitric oxide synthesis are decreased in pregnancies with SGA infants.  相似文献

We have recently isolated a rat homologue of the Caenorrhabditis elegans lin-10 product. Although rat lin-10 is expressed in the cytosol and membrane fractions of various tissues, it is distributed only in the membrane fraction in brain where it is enriched in the synaptic plasma membrane and postsynaptic density fractions. We have isolated here a rat lin-10-interacting protein from rat brain and identified it to be neurabin-II/spinophilin, which has recently been isolated as a protein interacting with protein phosphatase I and F-actin. Neurabin-II/spinophilin is ubiquitously expressed but enriched in brain, especially in the synaptic plasma membrane and postsynaptic density fractions. We discuss the physiological significance of the interaction of rat lin-10 with neurabin-II/spinophilin.  相似文献

TiO2, CdS and ZnS nanoparticles that disperse stably in organic solvents are synthesized. Poly(N-vinylcarbazole) films doped with the n-type semiconductor nanoparticles are prepared with a cast method. The films exhibit a transient photocurrent when irradiated by a light pulse and act such as a diode when AC voltage is applied under continuous illumination. The transient photocurrent response and diode-like properties are significantly different depending on the kind of the nanoparticles and their amounts. The films doped with TiO2 and CdS nanoparticles increase the transient photocurrent at lower doped amounts, which is remarkable for TiO2-doped films. Time of flight analysis of the transient photocurrent shows that mobility of hole in PVK increases with increase in the amount of CdS and TiO2. From the studies on the diode-like properties, the current increase at lower dopant concentration is concluded to be due to increase in the amount of holes by an electron transfer from PVK to the photo-excited nanoparticles. At higher doping with CdS nanoparticles, main charge carrier of the films is found to change from holes to electrons.  相似文献

A general method which combines formant synthesis by rule and time-domain concatenation is proposed. This method utilizes the advantages of both techniques by maintaining naturalness while minimizing difficulties such as prosodic modification and spectral discontinuities at the point of concatenation. An integrated sampled natural glottal source (Matsui et al., 1991) and sampled voiceless consonants were incorporated into a real-time text-to-speech formant synthesizer. In special cases, voicing amplitude envelopes and formant transitions dirived from natural speech were also utilized. Several listening tests were performed to evaluate these methods. We obtained a significant overall improvement in intelligibility over our previous formant synthesizer. Such improvements in intelligibility were previously obtained with a Japanese text-to-speech system using a related hybrid system (Kamai and Matsui, 1993), indicating the applicability of this method for multi-lingual synthesis. The results of subjective analyses showed that these methods can alo improve naturalness and listenability factors.  相似文献

Cytosolic sulfotransferases, which consist of at least three gene families, play a major role in activation and detoxification of both endogenous and exogenous chemicals. We recently purified a rabbit sulfotransferase, AST-RB2, showing high activities to both hydroxysteroids and amines. To characterize this enzyme, a rabbit cDNA library was screened using anti-AST-RB2 antibodies. The isolated cDNA was judged to encode AST-RB2 (ST2A8) based on the amino acid sequences of peptide fragments obtained from purified AST-RB2. The cDNA showed high similarity to other mammalian hydroxysteroid sulfotransferases (ST2) at the amino acid level (58-68%), but low similarity to aryl sulfotransferases (ST1) (less than 37%). The protein expressed in Escherichia coli catalyzed sulfation of typical ST2 substrates. Therefore, ST2A8 was judged to belong to the ST2 family from both its primary structure and substrate specificity. The ST2A8 protein expressed in E. coli clearly differed from rat ST2A1 and ST2A2 on its localization (cytosol/insoluble fraction ratio). ST2A8 had no activity to lithocholate, but showed the highest catalysis on dehydroepiandrosterone and testosterone among the four forms (ST2A1, ST2A2, ST2A3, and ST2A8), indicating a clear difference between ST2A forms in substrate specificity to endogenous chemicals.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether bolus injection of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHAS) is associated with changes in fetal middle cerebral artery flow velocity waveforms in term pregnancy. METHODS: Ten normal full-term pregnant women received the administration of a 200-mg intravenous dose of DHAS in 20 ml of 5% dextrose. Ten normal full term pregnant women received 20 ml 5% dextrose as controls. Color Doppler flow imaging and pulsed Doppler ultrasonographic assessments were made on fetuses in each group before and 10 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min. and 120 min after DHAS or dextrose administration. The pulsatility index (PI) values for the middle cerebral artery, and umbilical artery, and fetal heart rate were recorded. RESULTS: In the DHAS group, middle cerebral artery PI decreased from baseline by 24% (p<.05) after 10 min, and the mean reduction was 22% (p<.05) after 30 min. The PI returned to the baseline value 60 min later. In the control group, there was no change in middle cerebral artery PI. No change was found in umbilical artery PI or fetal heart rate in the control or DHAS group. CONCLUSION: DHAS induces a significant decrease in the fetal middle cerebral artery PI, which suggests a possible decrease in fetal cerebral vascular impedance in term pregnancy.  相似文献

Europium orthoborate and strontium orthoborate crystallize in the rhombohedral system with two formula units in a cell of dimensions aR=6.697 A?, αR=85.17° for Eu3B2O6, and aR=6.695 A?, αR=85.00° for Sr3B2O6. The equivalent hexagonal lattice parameters are aH=9.069 A?, cH=12.542 A?, and aH=9.046 A?, cH=12.566 A? respectively. Eu3B2O6 appears to be ferromagnetic below 7.5K.  相似文献
