For discontinuity analysis more and more sophisticated methods are used in the nuclear industry. The rapid development of computer technology offers the possibility to use imaging techniques. Instead of specialized focusing transducers the more flexible synthetic focusing techniques can be used. Presupposing that the material is ultrasonically isotropic and homogeneous, imaging techniques make it possible to visualize the reflectivity of the volume to be tested.Siemens developed the high speed holographic instrument Holo 3000 in cooperation with the University of Bochum. In this paper the method of Broad Band Holography is presented in the context of other imaging techniques.Different filtering methods have been investigated in order to achieve highest resolution and best signal to noise ratio with a given dataset. Different transducers respective wave modes have been applied to austenitic welds and claddings. The reconstructed image was evaluated using image processing techniques in order to investigate the possibilities to produce results easier to be quantifed than the original reconstruction.The results presented show a reliable expert tool for analysis measurements which also can be used for flaw detection. 相似文献

The objectives of this study were to develop sex-, age-, and body size-specific nomograms and partition values for upper and lower limits of M-mode echocardiographic aortic root measurements derived from a large population-based cohort. The study sample consisted of 1433 male and 1816 female participants in the Framingham Heart Study and Framingham Offspring Study who were normotensive and free of clinically apparent heart disease at the baseline examination. Aortic root measurements were obtained by M-mode echocardiography by a leading-edge to leading-edge technique. The relations of age and measures of body size with aortic root dimensions were evaluated with sex-specific correlations and multiple stepwise linear regression analyses. Age was the most important determinant of aortic root size in both men and women in the multivariable regression models. Models with age and body surface area yielded R2 values of 0.214 in men and 0.222 in women. Models with age and height yielded lower R2 values of 0.136 in men and 0.181 in women. Thus aortic root dimensions vary widely with the age, sex, and body size of individuals. Sex-specific reference nomograms of aortic root dimensions in relation to age and body size (body surface area or height) are presented to facilitate the detection of abnormalities of aortic root size. 相似文献

A new method is described for thein-situ measurement of electrical resistivity of concrete structures. The method is based on the early work of J. Newman who calculated
the electrolyte resistivity between a disk and a counter electrode located at infinity. This method has the advantage compared
with Wenner's of using a single small electrode for the measurements. In this paper, results are presented comparing this
method with Wenner's and with results carried out using a conductivity cell in electrolytes. Finally, values of resistivity
are compared to corrosion intensity, and a threshold for active corrosion is suggested.

Résumé On décrit une nouvelle méthode de mesure de la résistivité électrique du béton dont la technique est basée sur un travail ancien de J. Newman qui avait calculé la résistivité entre un disque et une électrode auxiliaire placée à l'infini. Comparée à la méthode de Wenner, cette méthode présente l'avantage de n'utiliser, pour les mesures, qu'une petite électrode. Dans cet article, on présente les résultats de la comparaison établie avec la méthode de Wenner et avec les résultats obtenus avec une cellule de conductivité placée dans les électrolytes. Enfin, on compare les valeurs de la résistivité du béton avec celles de l'intensité de la corrosion et on suggère un seuil de corrosion active.
