Design of dual-polarized L-probe patch antenna arrays with high isolation   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
An experimental study of a dual-polarized L-probe patch antenna is presented. The antenna is designed to operate at around 1.8 GHz. A "dual-feed" technique is introduced to achieve high isolation between two input ports. The proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 23.8% (SWR/spl les/2), 15% (SWR/spl les/1.5) and an isolation over 30 dB. In array designs, techniques for improving the isolation between two adjacent elements of an antenna array are also investigated. A two-element array with more than 30 dB isolation is designed and tested.  相似文献

Good-quality metamorphic InP buffer layers have been successfully grown on GaAs substrates by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. Characterization by atomic force microscope, transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution X-ray diffraction, and Hall measurements indicated that the layers are of high crystalline quality, good mobility, and excellent surface morphology. On this buffer, we demonstrated the first metamorphic InP/GaAsSb/InP double heterojunction bipolar transistors (DHBTs) with good material quality and device performance. Metamorphic DHBTs showed direct-current and radio-frequency characteristics that are comparable to those grown on lattice-matched InP substrates.  相似文献

PECVD silicon nitride passivation is quite frequently done at the end of AlGaN/GaN HEMT fabrication before substrate back-side lapping. However, the PECVD silicon nitride process is likely to produce pinholes in the passivation film. A very thick PECVD silicon nitride film may produce mechanical stress on the underlying device. Polyimide passivation has also been known to be effective for AlGaN/GaN HEMT and it can also serve as a stress buffer. However, polyimide can take up water while PECVD silicon nitride is a good diffusion barrier for water, etc. Thus it is expected that a dual PECVD silicon nitride/polyimide passivation will be a better choice than just a single layer of PECVD silicon nitride or polyimide. In this paper, we will demonstrate the application of a dual PECVD silicon nitride/polyimide passivation to AlGaN/GaN HEMT process.  相似文献

This paper argues that the primary obstacles facing the transition to digital TV involve: (1) administrative infighting, (2) heavy-handed policymaking processes, and (3) the pursuit of self-interest and centralized control by the state network. It is well known that cross-layer scheduling which adapts power, rate and user allocation can achieve significant gain on system capacity. However, conventional cross-layer designs all require channel state information at the base station (CSIT) which is difficult to obtain in practice. In this paper, we focus on cross-layer resource optimization based on ACK/NAK feedback flows in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems without explicit CSIT. While the problem can be modeled as Markov decision process (MDP), brute-force approach by policy iteration or value iteration cannot lead to any viable solution. Thus, we derive a simple closed-form solution for the MDP cross-layer problem, which is asymptotically optimal for sufficiently small target packet error rate (PER). The proposed solution also has low complexity and is suitable for real-time implementation. It is also shown to achieve significant performance gain compared with systems that do not utilize the ACK/NAK feedbacks for cross-layer designs or cross-layer systems that utilize very unreliable CSIT for adaptation with mismatch in CSIT error statistics. Asymptotic analysis is also provided to obtain useful design insights.  相似文献

In response to the growing need for a more accurate micromagnetic model to understand switching phenomenon in nanoscale magnets, we developed the capability to simulate two-dimensional polycrystalline grains using the Object Oriented Micromagnetic Framework (OOMMF). This addition allows users full flexibility in determining the magnetocrystalline anisotropy and axe in each grain as well as the inter- and intragranular exchange coupling strength.  相似文献

The plate silencer [1] that consists of an expansion chamber with two side-branch cavities covered by a light panel can achieve a desirable noise reduction in broadband theoretically. The concept is similar to drum silencer [Choy YS, Huang L. Experimental studies of drum-like silencer. J Acoust Soc Am 2002;112:2026–35]. To attain optimal noise reduction, either the membrane of the silencer should be of minimal weight while retaining very high tensile strength or the panel should be kept at very high bending stiffness that is dependent on its geometry and mechanical properties. To achieve such goal, various kinds of composite system such as carbon fibres or aluminum were mounted on light core foam to build a noise reflection panel. A design of composite panels which can provide a reduction in panel weight as well as enhance the bending stiffness, is introduced in this paper. Predictions of the new model are to be compared with the normal foam plate in the aspects of noise reflection capability and performance of noise abatement apart from the material properties.  相似文献

Low-temperature solders have wide applications in integrated circuits and micro-electromechanical systems packaging. In this article, a study on Ag-In solder for chip-to-chip thermocompression bonding was carried out. The resulting joint consists of AgIn2 and Ag9In4 phases, with the latter phase having a melting temperature higher than 400°C. Complete consumption of In solder into a Ag-rich intermetallic compound is achieved by applying a bond pressure of 1.4 MPa at 180°C for 40 min. We also observe that the bonding pressure effect enables a Ag-rich phase to be formed within a shorter bonding duration (10 min) at a higher pressure of 1.6 MPa. Finally, prolonged aging leads to the formation of the final phase of Ag9In4 in the bonded joints.  相似文献

The hard disk drive is a reliable and relatively cheap mass storage device used in every computer nowadays. In this study, one major issue affecting the product quality of the fixture inside a hard disk drive is the surface contamination of the arm finger of actuator (AFA). For economical exploitation, a primary concern is to generate a model for optimizing the process parameter settings necessary to sustain the desired cleanliness level in an ultrasonic cleaning process. Two approaches were employed to identify critical process parameters, followed by the determination of the optimal parameter settings. The former approach was a statistical design of experiments (DOE) for developing regression equations for predicting the cleanliness level and finding out the dependence of each parameter and outcome. The latter approach was in using an artificial neural network (ANN) for building prediction models. A comparative study showed that both approaches have advantages over other methods. The results obtained show a reduction in contamination of the AFA; hence it provides an aid in the improvement of product quality.  相似文献
