This article presents a software visualization framework which can help project managers and team leaders in overseeing issues and their management in software development. To automate the framework, a dashboard tool called IssuePlayer is developed. The tool is used to study the trends in which different types of issues (e.g., bugs, support requests) are submitted, handled and piled up in software projects and use that information to identify process symptoms, e.g., the times when the code maintenance team is not responsive enough. The interactive nature of the tool enables identification of the team members who have not been as active as they were expected to be in such cases. The user can play, pause, rewind and forward the issue management histories using the tool. The tool is empirically evaluated by two industrial partners in North America and Europe. The survey and qualitative feedback support the usefulness and effectiveness of the tool in assessing the issue management processes and the performance of team members. The tool can be used complementarily in parallel with textual information provided by issue management tools (e.g., BugZilla) to enable team leaders to conduct effective and successful monitoring of issue management in software development projects.  相似文献

Mechanisms for the antiarrhythmic effect of n−3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) are currently being investigated using isolated cardiac myocytes. It is still not known whether the incorporation of n−3 PUFA into membrane phospholipids is a prerequisite for its protective action or if n−3 PUFA exert antiarrhythmic effects in their nonesterified form as demonstrated by recent studies. Adult porcine cardiomyocytes were grown in media supplemented with arachidonic acid (AA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). After 24 h, analysis of total lipids showed that the myocytes were enriched with the respective fatty acids compared to control cells. Large proportions of all three fatty acids supplemented (69% AA, 72% DHA, and 66% EPA) remained unesterified. Fatty acid analysis of total phospholipids (PL) revealed that the incorporation of EPA and DHA, though small, was significantly different (P<0.05) from that of the control cells. The PL fraction was further separated into phosphatidylinositol (Pl), phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylserine to study the pattern of incorporation of the fatty acids in these fractions. It became apparent that EPA and DHA were selectively incorporated into the Pl fraction. This study demonstrates that in adult porcine cardiomyocytes, the n−3 PUFA supplementation selectively modulates two important lipid fractions, nonesterified fatty acid and Pl, which were implicated in the mechanisms of prevention of cardiac arrhythmias.  相似文献

This paper sets out to provide a basis for a specification methodology for modelbased diagnostic systems (MBDS). The purpose of the methodology is to provide a mapping from the problem space of possible diagnostic applications to the solution space provided by the various approaches to MBDS. Therefore, given the major characteristics of a diagnostic problem, the methodology should provide guide-lines by which the specification of a suitable MBDS may be determined. As a first stage in the development of this methodology we provide taxonomies of the problem and solution spaces. The former is characterised via a set ofProblem requirements, divided intoTask, Fault andModel requirements, while the latter is classified as a set ofSystem specifications, with reference to the major functional blocks of MBDS: namely theDiagnostic Strategist, thePredictor and theCandidate Proposer. The last part of this paper proposes a mapping between these two multi-dimensional spaces. This mapping is preliminary, and therefore neither exhaustive nor exclusive, but together with the taxonomies of the problem requirements and system specification will provide a catalyst for the development of a more extensive methodology.  相似文献

Previous studies in rodents showed a severe deterioration of pineal physiology with aging. The present study investigated the age-related changes in the content of monoamines and metabolites in rat and Syrian hamster pineal gland. In addition to melatonin, the levels of 5-hydroxytryptophan (5HTP), serotonin (5HT), 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5HIAA), N-acetylserotonin (N-Ac-SHT), dopamine (DA), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC), and noradrenaline (NA) were measured by HPLC. Pronounced reductions were found in 5HT and 5HIAA contents during daytime in rats of 24 months, which had not been observed in animals of 12 months. In addition, nighttime pineal 5HIAA, N-Ac-5HT, and melatonin contents were decreased in the old rats, although a significant day:night variation persisted. Also a diurnal fluctuation in NA, DA, and DOPAC contents was present in young and middle-aged rats but not for NA and DOPAC in the oldest rats due to a decrease in the nighttime levels. Pineal DA levels were also reduced in 24-month-old rats during the night, although a marked day:night change was still found. In the Syrian hamster pineal, significant reductions in daytime 5HT and 5HIAA were found respectively at 12 and 18 months, while nighttime levels of these compounds were decreased from 18 months. The nocturnal content of N-Ac-5HT dropped gradually from 12 months, and melatonin was reduced by 74% and 86% in hamsters of 18 and 24 months, respectively. In all these compounds, a significant day:night variation was observed irrespective of age. However, neither a day:night variation nor an effect of aging was found in terms of pineal NA content. In contrast, pineal DA and DOPAC levels displayed a diurnal variation in hamsters of 1.5 and 6 months, but not in animals of 12 and 18 months due a reduced nighttime content. These data suggest that the decline of pineal melatonin with age is a consequence of a deficit in the pathway of serotonin utilization. This probably is explained by a reduced N-acetyltransferase activity, which may be linked to impaired pineal catecholaminergic neurotransmission.  相似文献

Capacitance lock-in amplifier deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) using Schottky barrier diodes (SBD’s) was used to characterize the electron and hole traps in VPEn-GaAs (ND - NA = 1 - 2 x 1015/cm3) layers grown on n+ (1018/cm3) GaAs substrates. The main electron traps observed were the EL2 atE c - 0.81 eV and a level atE c - 0.48 eV. The use of large forward bias electrical injection pulses (and no optical excitation) facilitated the detection of hole traps, of which the defect with an energy level atE v + 0.42 eV, speculated to be Cu-related, was present in the highest concentration.  相似文献

Low temperature photoluminescence (PL) has been used to characterize InAlAs/InGaAs/InP heterojunction field-effect transistor (HFET) structure material. A phenomenological lineshape model has been applied to the PL spectrum to derive energy levels and the position of the Fermi-energy and hence the channel carrier concentration. The data is compared with results from low-temperature Hall and Shubnikov-de Hans (SdH) measurements, and fit with a charge-control model of the conduction band. Values for the sheet density are derived from PL for channel-doped structures where SdH measurements are difficult. Changes in the quantum well symmetry through variations in the dopant distribution are shown to be reflected in the PL lineshape.  相似文献

The management of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) in Scotland in 1993 was studied by asking the physicians responsible for all 321 adult cases of the disease notified that year to complete a standardized questionnaire relating to drug treatment and bacteriology. The response rate to the questionnaire was 100%. Isoniazid and rifampicin were used together in initial therapy in 98.4% of cases, while pyrazinamide was prescribed in 90.3% of cases, broadly in keeping with existing treatment guidelines. However, considerable variability was observed both in the drug regimens employed, and in the duration of initial and continuation phases of chemotherapy. Treatment regimens were therefore frequently at variance with published recommendations. Among patients prescribed drug regimens other than those recommended satisfactory completion of therapy was less common. Microbiological confirmation was provided for 84% of cases in which clinical samples were submitted. However, in approximately 11% of cases, no clinical samples were submitted. Closer adherence to existing treatment guidelines and more rigorous pursuit of microbiological confirmation should further improve the overall management of pulmonary TB in Scotland.  相似文献

Encephalitozoon hellem is a recently described microsporidian associated with an expanding spectrum of clinical presentations in patients with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is morphologically similar to Encephalitozoon cuniculi, a microsporidian infection of mammals and some avians, and their differentiation rests on biochemical and antigenic analyses. This report describes a patient previously diagnosed with keratoconjunctivitis due to E hellem who subsequently was found to have respiratory tract microsporidiosis by sputum cytology. He subsequently developed pulmonary symptoms and a left lower lobe interstitial infiltrate. A bronchoalveolar lavage and transbronchial biopsy revealed microsporidial bronchiolitis, and the etiologic agent was identified as E hellem using an immunofluorescent antibody technique. Lavage fluid was successfully cultured in monkey kidney cells, and cultivated E hellem organisms were studied using immunohistochemistry as well as scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The pathologic features of this newly described cause of protozoal bronchiolitis, the role of immunofluorescent antibody examination and in vitro tissue culture for species-specific diagnosis, and the significance of microsporidial pulmonary infections in AIDS patients are discussed.  相似文献
