In this overview article, the effective capabilities of power amplifiers and wireless transmitters operating under supply modulation will be addressed. Special attention will be paid to: (i) identification of the circuit and system level limiting factors, (ii) possible ways of overcoming them, and (iii) analysis and implementation of one CDMA2000 polar transmitter. The capacitated centered clustering problem (CCCP) consists in partitioning a set of n points into p disjoint clusters with a known capacity. Each cluster is specified by a centroid. The objective is to minimize the total dissimilarity within each cluster, such that a given capacity limit of the cluster is not exceeded. This paper presents a solution procedure for the CCCP, using the hybrid metaheuristic clustering search (CS), whose main idea is to identify promising areas of the search space by generating solutions through a metaheuristic and clustering them into groups that are then further explored with local search heuristics. Computational results in test problems of the literature show that the CS found a significant number of new best-known solutions in reasonable computational times.  相似文献

The modification of magnesium hydroxide (MH) with triethoxy vinyl silane (TVS) was carried out via three different methods and the results are discussed with respect to their effect on the flame retardant and the tensile properties of high density polyethylene (HDPE) nanocomposites. Via a xylene suspension of MH and TVS, via a water suspension of MH and TVS, and via powder mixing of MH and TVS. It was found that in all three cases, Si O Mg bonds formed on the MH particles surface. Also, this silane modification induced a certain level of particle agglomeration, but without modifying their morphology or particle size. It was also found that the flame retardant properties of the HDPE nanocomposites did not improve because of the use of silane modified MH. During the flame retardant tests, all nanocomposites passed the UL‐94‐HB, but it was observed that the flame permanence time was longer when using modified MH. The tensile properties were negatively affected by the addition of unmodified MH; the nanocomposites became hard and brittle, with reduced flexibility. Poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase-1 (PARP1) is a nuclear protein implicated in DNA repair, recombination, replication, and chromatin remodeling. The aim of this study was to evaluate possible differences between PARP1/ and wild-type mice regarding induction and repair of DNA lesions in irradiated male germ cells. Comet assay was applied to detect DNA damage in testicular cells immediately, and two hours after 4 Gy X-ray irradiation. A similar level of spontaneous and radiation-induced DNA damage was observed in PARP1/ and wild-type mice. Conversely, two hours after irradiation, a significant level of residual damage was observed in PARP1/ cells only. This finding was particularly evident in round spermatids. To evaluate if PARP1 had also a role in the dynamics of H2AX phosphorylation in round spermatids, in which γ-H2AX foci had been shown to persist after completion of DNA repair, we carried out a parallel analysis of γ-H2AX foci at 0.5, 2, and 48 h after irradiation in wild-type and PARP1/ mice. No evidence was obtained of an effect of PARP1 depletion on H2AX phosphorylation induction and removal. Our results suggest that, in round spermatids, under the tested experimental conditions, PARP1 has a role in radiation-induced DNA damage repair rather than in long-term chromatin modifications signaled by phosphorylated H2AX.  相似文献

The main drawback in the production of 7‐aminocephalosporanic acid (7‐ACA) at the industrial level is the inactivation of the enzymes implicated in the process due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide during the reaction. As an alternative, we have developed the conversion of cephalosporin C to 7‐ACA in a single reactor without the presence of hydrogen peroxide during the reaction, achieving more than 80% yield. In order to develop this process, D ‐amino acid oxidase (DAAO) was co‐immobilized with catalase (CAT), which is able to fully eliminate in situ the hydrogen peroxide formed by the neighbouring DAAO molecules. Thus, the product of the reaction is only α‐ketoadipyl‐7‐ACA. This system prevents the inactivation of the oxidase by hydrogen peroxide, solving the main problem of the enzymatic process. Moreover, we have found that α‐ketoadipyl‐7‐ACA is recognized as a substrate by glutaryl acylase (GAC) and hydrolyzed as long as glutaric acid is absent from the reaction medium (because it is able to inhibit the hydrolysis). The low stability of α‐ketoadipyl‐7‐ACA justifies the use of a single reactor, in which glutaryl acylase is already present when this substrate is generated. Thus, the whole process may (and must) be performed in a single step, and in the absence of hydrogen peroxide that could affect the stabilities of the involved enzymes.  相似文献

3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) has been used as a copper corrosion inhibitor in 0.100 mol L–1 KCl solution. The inhibition was studied as a function of the MPS pretreatment concentration in ethanol. The MPS concentration used was between 1.0 × 10–8 mol L–1 and 1.0 × 10–1 mol L–1. A freshly-cleaned Cu electrode was inserted in an ethanolic solution of MPS for 30 min for pretreatment, and was then exposed to a 0.100 mol L–1 KCl aqueous solution for 1 h. From the polarization resistance, the inhibition efficiency improved with increase in MPS concentration during the pretreatment. The MPS adsorption on Cu followed a Langmuir adsorption behaviour. However, at MPS concentrations larger than 1.0 × 10–4 mol L–1 the inhibition decreased. Moreover, the inhibition efficiency decreased with increase in the exposure time of the MPS modified Cu electrode in the KCl aqueous solution. Polarization studies suggest that MPS is an anodic as well as a cathodic inhibitor, in the presence of dissolved oxygen. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis of the Cu samples showed that the organic compound modifies the Cu surface and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies indicated that MPS protects the Cu surface when exposed for 350 h to laboratory environment. Polarized grazing angle Fourier transform-infrared (FTIR) microscopy analysis determined the presence of a polymer on the Cu surface.  相似文献

Dietary (poly)phenols are extensively metabolized, limiting their anticancer activity. Exosomes (EXOs) are extracellular vesicles that could protect polyphenols from metabolism. Our objective was to compare the delivery to breast tissue and anticancer activity in breast cancer cell lines of free curcumin (CUR) and resveratrol (RSV) vs. their encapsulation in milk-derived EXOs (EXO-CUR and EXO-RSV). A kinetic breast tissue disposition was performed in rats. CUR and RSV were analyzed using UPLC-QTOF-MS and GC-MS, respectively. Antiproliferative activity was tested in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer and MCF-10A non-tumorigenic cells. Cell cycle distribution, apoptosis, caspases activation, and endocytosis pathways were determined. CUR and RSV peaked in the mammary tissue (41 ± 15 and 300 ± 80 nM, respectively) 6 min after intravenous administration of EXO-CUR and EXO-RSV, but not with equivalent free polyphenol concentrations. Nanomolar EXO-CUR or EXO-RSV concentrations, but not free CUR or RSV, exerted a potent antiproliferative effect on cancer cells with no effect on normal cells. Significant (p < 0.05) cell cycle alteration and pro-apoptotic activity (via the mitochondrial pathway) were observed. EXO-CUR and EXO-RSV entered the cells primarily via clathrin-mediated endocytosis, avoiding ATP-binding cassette transporters (ABC). Milk EXOs protected CUR and RSV from metabolism and delivered both polyphenols to the mammary tissue at concentrations compatible with the fast and potent anticancer effects exerted in model cells. Milk EXOs enhanced the bioavailability and anticancer activity of CUR and RSV by acting as Trojan horses that escape from cancer cells’ ABC-mediated chemoresistance.  相似文献

A particular property of the matched desired impulse response receiver is introduced, namely, the fact that full exploitation of the diversity is obtained with multiple beamformers when the channel is spatially and timely dispersive. This particularity makes the receiver specially suitable for mobile and underwater communications. The new structure provides better performance than conventional and weighted VRAKE receivers, and a diversity gain with no need for additional radio frequency equipment. The baseband hardware needed for this new receiver may be obtained through reconfigurability of the RAKE architectures available at the base station. The proposed receiver is tested through simulations assuming UTRA frequency-division-duplexing mode.  相似文献

The use of fuzzy control strategies has recently gained enormous acknowledgement for the control of nonlinear and time-variant systems. This article describes the development of a fuzzy control method for a tire antilock system in vehicles while braking, integrated in a tire test bench, thereby allowing us to imitate the functioning and to understand the behavior of these systems in a reliable way. One of the inconveniences found in the development of these systems has been the difficulty of adjustment to the real conditions of a functioning vehicle. The main advantage obtained when using the tire test bench is the possibility of being able to reproduce the conditions established as fundamental to the operation of the antilock brake system (ABS) in a reliable and repetitive way, and to adjust these systems until optimal performance is obtained. The fuzzy control system has been developed and tested in the tire test bench to be able to refine its fundamental parameters, obtaining adequate results in all the studied conditions. The ease of the bench for the development and verification of new control systems for ABS has been demonstrated.  相似文献
