The surging interest in high performance, low‐cost, and safe energy storage devices has spurred tremendous research efforts in the development of advanced electrode active materials. Herein, the in situ growth of zinc–iron layered double hydroxide (Zn–Fe LDH) on graphene aerogel (GA) substrates through a facile, one‐pot hydrothermal method is reported. The strong interaction and efficient electronic coupling between LDH and graphene substantially improve interfacial charge transport properties of the resulting nanocomposite and provide more available redox active sites for faradaic reactions. An LDH–GA||Ni(OH)2 device is also fabricated that results in greatly enhanced specific capacity (187 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1), outstanding specific energy (147 Wh kg?1), excellent specific power (16.7 kW kg?1), along with 88% capacity retention after >10 000 cycles. This approach is further extended to Ni–MH and Ni–Cd batteries to demonstrate the feasibility of compositing with graphene for boosting the energy storage performance of other well‐known Ni‐based batteries. In contrast to conventional Ni‐based batteries, the nearly flat voltage plateau followed by a sloping potential profile of the integrated supercapacitor–battery enables it to be discharged down to 0 V without being damaged. The flash point is an important indicator for the flammability of the liquid materials and also in the development of safe practices for handling and storage of these materials. The production of certified reference materials is essential to guarantee the performance of the flash point measurement apparatus so that it can be trusted and acceptable for its intended use. In this work lubricant oils of high molecular weight hydrocarbons (HM1, and HM2) were tested as certified reference materials in accordance with ISO guide 34 and 35 by using the high flash point temperature detector Cleveland-open cup as per ASTM D-92. The selected oils were tested for uncertified properties like pour point, viscosity, cloud point, density, and total acid number. The thermal analysis techniques DSC, and TGA were used to ensure the thermal stability of the lubricant oils and its ability to be used as high temperature flash point reference material. The certified value of the flash point temperature was assigned upon evaluation of the data acquired in an inter-laboratory comparison involving expert laboratories using the same measurement method. The certified values of the candidate reference materials with expanded uncertainty (coverage factor K = 2, approximate 95% confidence level) calculated using the results of the characterization, calibration (organizer lab), homogeneity, and stability assessment were 232 ± 9 °C for HM1, and 242 ± 10 °C for HM2. 相似文献

The accurate evaluation of electrical energy demanded by a CNC toolpath during a machining process is essential to determine its efficiency. Actually, the dynamic behavior of cutting forces seems to be neglected by investigators despite its influence on the consumed cutting energy during a face milling operation. This paper aims to investigate the effect of dynamic behavior of the machining system in order to take into account the dynamic response of the cutting forces on the axis feed power prediction. A dynamic cutting power model is developed in order to predict the consumed cutting energy. Experimental observations have been made of the fringe contrast which appears at the terminating edges of thin objects in defocused, scanning-transmission electron micrographs. In general only a single bright fringe is present and the displacement and width of this fringe was found to vary linearly with defocus, indicating the contrast does not result from simple-Fresnel diffraction. A model for this contrast, based on the refraction of incident electrons by the object edge, is shown to explain the observed results. 相似文献

This paper emphasizes total self-development of the individual for improved motivation and organization management. It builds on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory to examine motivational levels for four levels of engineering staff at a public construction agency. The researchers studied these engineering groups qualitatively through interviews and quantitatively using a questionnaire. Using a holistic approach, this study focused on 15 parameters from Maslow's five essential needs—the physical, safety, social, esteem, and self-actualization levels. Considerable emphasis was placed on the development of Maslow's principle of “self-actualization.” This difficult-to-grasp concept, as Maslow reported, is a prerequisite for enlightened management. The researchers analyzed engineers' perceptions regarding the fulfillment of need parameters and measured their perception of the importance of those parameters. Among specific findings were that junior project engineers had higher scores on self-actualization than senior engineers. Findings showed that changes are desirable for satisfying meaningfulness of tasks, increasing self-sufficiency in doing the job, and improving individuality and sense of mission of employees. The application of the findings based on Maslow's model directly benefits the agency studied and other organizations in development programs. It also helps in increasing morale. 相似文献
