Modification of the Einstein equation for semiconductors with nonparabolic energy bands and doped nonuniformly with impurity atoms is suggested. The suggestion is based on a new approximation of the Fermi-Dirac integral of order 1/2, namely, F 1/2(ηn), where ηn is the reduced Fermi level for electrons. The relation reduces to that for semiconductors with parabolic energy bands and doped uniformly with impurity atoms under appropriate boundary conditions. A new method to compensate three-stage amplifier to drive large capacitive loads is proposed in this paper. Gain Bandwidth Product is increased due to use an attenuator in the path of miller compensation capacitor. Analysis demonstrates that the gain bandwidth product will be improved significantly without using large compensation capacitor. Using a feedforward path is deployed to control a left half plane zero which is able to cancel out first non-dominant pole. A three stage amplifier is simulated in a 0.18 μm CMOS technology. The purpose of the design is to compensate three-stage amplifier loading 1000 pF capacitive load. The simulated amplifier with a 1000 pF capacitive load is performed in 3.3 MHz gain bandwidth product, and phase margin of 50. The compensation capacitor is reduced extremely compared to conventional nested miller compensation methods. Since transconductance of each stage is not distinct, and it is close to one another; as a result, this method is suitable low power design methodology. 相似文献

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar signals have been introduced for high range resolution radars. These signals have prominent properties such as favorable ambiguity function, high bandwidth efficiency, and possibility of use in dual mode radar/communication systems. But the large amplitude fluctuations of the OFDM signal make it susceptible to system nonlinearities. To alleviate this problem, constant envelope OFDM (CE-OFDM) signal has been introduced which combines orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and phase modulation or frequency modulation. Although several works have been reported on OFDM radar signal design, there is no a systematic approach for designing CE-OFDM signals for radar applications. In this paper we will focus on CE-OFDM signal design for radar applications. Two different methods for designing a CE-OFDM signal with favorable ambiguity functions are introduced. The first one is based on modulating a complementary set of sequences on different sub-carriers while the second is based on using a proper single carrier coded signal and then extracting its most similar multicarrier OFDM or CE-OFDM coded signal. 相似文献

Although most of the proposals for implementing motion-compensated temporal filtering (MCTF) schemes are based on the wavelet transform, in this paper, we propose an MCTF framework based on the discrete cosine transform (DCT). Using DCT decimation and interpolation, several temporal decomposition structures named motion-compensated DCT temporal filters (MCDCT-TF) are introduced. These structures are able to employ filters of any length with particular emphasis on 5/3 DCT and 7/4 DCT. The proposed MCDCT-TF and the two-dimensional (2D) DCT decimation technique are incorporated into H.264/AVC to provide spatio-temporal scalability. Compared with the current MCTF-based lifting schemes such as Haar, and 5/3 wavelet filters, simulation results show that the proposed MCDCT-TF utilizing longer tap DCT filters achieves a significant improvement in coding gain. The impact of odd/even group of frames, the decimation/interpolation ratios, and motion-compensated connectivity on the MCDCT-TF performance are also analyzed. Moreover, simulation results show that the performance of the presented scalable video coding is close to the single layer H.264/AVC and is slightly inferior to the temporal scalability supported in JSVM, the state-of-the-art scalable video coding standard, that gets its gain from Hierarchical B-pictures. However, our spatio-temporal coding scheme outperforms the spatio-temporal supported in JSVM even if it uses hierarchical B-pictures to improve its gain. 相似文献

Overlapped FFT has been proposed as a signal detection scheme in dynamic spectrum access to reduce the variance of the noise and improve the detection probability. However, the improvement of the detection probability in the conventional overlapped FFT is bounded with the upper limit of the overlap ratio. This paper proposes a new overlapped FFT scheme using additional frames. In the proposed scheme, in addition to the original FFT frames, new frames that consist of multiple subframes with non-continuous samples are constructed and included. It can realize the increase of the number of the FFT frames and the improvement of the detection probability compared with the conventional scheme. Numerical results through computer simulation show that the proposed scheme improves the detection probability by up to 0.07. On indoor channel models the proposed scheme also improves the detection probability. In addition, it is clarified that as the delay spread increases the detection probability reduces due to the correlation between the frames. 相似文献

Wide bandgap GaN has long been sought for its applications to blue and UV emitters and high temperature/high power electronic devices. Recent introduction of commercial blue and blue-green LED's have led to a plethora of activity in all three continents into the heterostructures based on GaN and its alloys with AlN and InN. In this review, the status and future prospects of emerging wide bandgap gallium nitride semiconductor devices are discussed. Recent successes in p-doping of GaN and its alloys with InN and AlN, and in n-doping with much reduced background concentrations have paved the way for the design, fabrication, and characterization of devices such as MESFET's, MISFET's, HBT's, LED's, and optically pumped lasers. We discuss the electrical properties of these devices and their drawbacks followed by future prospects. After a short elucidation of materials characteristics of the nitrides, we explore their electrical transport properties in detail. Recent progress in processing such as formation of low-resistance ohmic contacts and etching is also presented. The promising features of quarternaries and double heterostructures in relation to possible current injection lasers, LED's, and photodetectors are also elaborated on 相似文献

Nowadays, switched Ethernet networks are used in complex systems that encompass tens to hundreds of nodes and thousands of signals. Such scenarios require multi-switch architectures where communications frequently occur in multiple hops. In this paper we investigate techniques to allow efficient multi-hop communication using HaRTES switches. These are modified Ethernet switches that provide real-time traffic scheduling, dynamic bandwidth management and temporal isolation between real-time and non-real-time traffic. This paper addresses the problem of forwarding traffic in HaRTES networks. Two methods have been recently proposed, namely Distributed Global Scheduling (DGS) that buffers traffic between switches, and Reduced Buffering Scheme (RBS), that uses immediate forwarding. In this paper, we discuss the design and implementation of RBS within HaRTES and we carry out an experimental validation with a prototype implementation. Then, we carry out a comparison between RBS and DGS using worst-case response time analysis and simulation. The comparison clearly establishes the superiority of RBS concerning end-to-end response times. In fact, with sample message sets, we achieved reductions in end-to-end delay that were as high as 80 %. 相似文献

In this paper, the energy efficiency (EE) of a decode and forward (DF) relay system is studied, where two sources communicate through a half-duplex relay node in one-way and two-way relaying strategies. Both the circuitry power and the transmission power of all nodes are taken into consideration. In addition, three different coding schemes for two-way DF relaying strategy with two phases and two-way DF relaying with three phases are considered. The aim is to maximize the EE of the system for a constant spectral efficiency (SE). For this purpose, the transmission time and the transmission power of each node are optimized. Simulations are used to compare the EE–SE curve of different DF strategies with one-way and two-way amplify and forward (AF) strategies and direct transmission (DT), to find the best energy efficient strategy in different SE conditions. Analytical and simulation results demonstrate that in low SE conditions, DF relaying strategies are more energy efficient compared to that of AF strategies and DT. However, in high SE conditions, the EE of two-way AF relaying and DT strategy outperform some of the DF relaying strategies. In this paper a new protocol using fuzzy logic control has been proposed. The protocol is based on Stable Election Protocol (SEP). Fuzzy logic control based on three variables, distance of nodes form base station, density of nodes and the battery level of nodes along with the traditional threshold values used in SEP are used to enhance the process of cluster head election in the existing SEP protocol and improve the lifetime and throughput of the Wireless Sensor Network. The result of the simulation which has been done in MATLAB simulator indicates that Stable Election Protocol based on fuzzy logic is more energy efficient and improves the lifetime and throughput of the network by 73.2 and 68.54 % respectively comparing with the existing SEP protocol. 相似文献
