In an attempt to accumulate lycopene in the bacterium Dietzia natronolimnaea HS-1 cultured in beet molasses, the influence of lycopene cyclase inhibitors on carotenogenesis (within the range 0–60 ppm)
were evaluated. All inhibitors blocked the biosynthesis of canthaxanthin and resulted in accumulation of lycopene as the predominant
carotenoid. As the final step of a study aiming at the optimization of culture conditions, a central composite design to a
fed-batch process was applied to optimize the concentrations of lycopene cyclase inhibitors (within the range 0–50 ppm) in
order to achieve high level accumulation of lycopene from D. natronolimnaea HS-1 cultured in beet molasses. On the basis of this approach, the optimum concentrations of lycopene cyclase inhibitors
required to achieve the highest level of lycopene accumulation (8.26±0.17 mg/L) were determined as follows: imidazole, 24.74

The cysteamine hydrochloride as a practical precursor of 2-(nitromethylene)thiazolidine in the one-pot synthesis of thiazoloquinoline derivatives from aromatic aldehydes and dimedone is described. This protocol involved Michael reaction, imine–enamine tautomerization, and cyclization sequence. The decrease of the contents of TOC in sediment cores in the Bizerte Lagoon is synchronous with that of carbonates. This is attributed to a dilution phenomenon of the organic fraction by the carbonate component of the sediment in the lagoon. This phenomenon also can be explained by the effect of early diagenesis, resulting in the existence of more condensed products, or by removal of more labile organic fraction and/or by reorganization mechanisms leading to the solubilization of organic matter towards deep levels. It appears that the mechanisms controlling the geochemical sedimentation in the lagoon are similar to those observed today, with some occasional characteristics reflecting the impact of episodic phenomenon related to other factors and processes, especially a continental influence on the sediments, rather than marine influences. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to present the performances of voltage unbalance and rotor fault detections using an external stray flux sensor in a working three-phase induction machine. The automatic classification and fault severity degree evaluation are realized by using a neural network approach based on a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) structure. Garment creation continues to be the most tedious part of the virtual clothing process. In this paper, we present an easy to use sketch-based cloth modeling approach. Contours can be easily sketched on a mannequin to generate quad meshes to represent pieces of cloth already fitted and draped. Typically, the clothing process depends greatly on the meshing scheme that has to infer its geometry from the input boundary. Our quad meshing scheme is based on discrete Coons patches but with arbitrary boundary input. We also apply the permanence principle to our topological solution to allow more control over the influence of the input boundary polyline on the interior output polygonal mesh. This facilitates the creation of folds that are strongest in curvature at the boundary and which diminish towards the interior. The generated garments can then be easily animated in a simulation system based on finite elements, using a rediscretization of the generated mesh and a reconstructed metric of the cloth surface. 相似文献

8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN) is a prenylated flavonoid, occurring, in particular, in hop, but also in other plants. It has proven to be one of the most potent phytoestrogens in vitro known to date, and in the past 20 years, research has unveiled new effects triggered by it in biological systems. These findings have aroused the hopes, expectations, and enthusiasm of a “wonder-drug” for a host of human diseases. However, the majority of 8-PN effects require such high concentrations that they cannot be reached by normal dietary exposure, only pharmacologically; thus, adverse impacts may also emerge. Here, we provide a comprehensive and up-to-date review on this fascinating compound, with special reference to the range of beneficial and untoward health consequences that may ensue from exposure to it. 相似文献
