Streamwater temperature may be severely affected by the global warming. Different types of models could be used to evaluate the regime of water temperatures in future climatic conditions, including artificial neural networks. As neural networks have no physical background, they require calibration of large number of parameters. This is typically done by gradient-based algorithms, however there is an ongoing debate on usefulness of metaheuristics for this task. In this paper more than ten Swarm Intelligence and Evolutionary Algorithms, including one developed especially for this study, are tested to train four kinds of artificial neural networks (multi-layer perceptron, product-units, adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference systems and wavelet neural networks) for daily water temperature prediction in a natural river located in temperate climate zone. The results are compared with the ones obtained when the classical Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used. Finally, the ensemble aggregating approach is tested. Although the research confirms that most metaheuristics do not suite well for training any kind of neural networks, there are exceptions that include the newly proposed heuristic. However, the gain achieved when using even the best metaheuristics is low, comparing to the effort (computational time and complexity of such algorithms). The aim of this study was to determine the influence of pretreatment selection and washing processes of potatoes on the manual and optic control on the contents of nitrates (V), and glycoalkaloids after the peeling and frying processes are applied in the industrial production of potato chips. The highest reduction in nitrate quantity was found after the manual selection process of the potatoes and their slicing, as well as after frying the chips. The preselection process of the raw material, slicing and rinsing the potato slices, as well as frying the chips, had the largest influence on the losses of glycoalkaloids. In these samples, 74% remained after pretreatment of the raw material, 29% remained after slicing, and 10% remained in the chips after frying relative to the unpeeled potatoes. 相似文献

It is well known that the usability of a typical touch screen depends on several parameters, including interface design, device characteristics, and input operations. However, there is virtually no knowledge regarding how people evaluate interaction with 3D display‐integrated touch screen. Twenty‐one participants were asked to use standard touch screen to point to targets in planes of different planes on an autostereoscopic display and evaluate how natural and easy this action was. Clear differences in pointing experiences across depth levels and input operators were found. Pointing to targets in a back plane was reported to be more natural and easier than the same action with targets in a front plane. The use of finger input was less unnatural than the use of a stylus, but the use of stylus with icons in the front plane was more fun and entertaining. 相似文献
