To understand the role of composition in the oxidation behavior of Ti–Mo system and to evaluate the extent of oxygen ingress into the metal substrate during high temperature exposure, a compositionally graded Ti–xMo specimen (0 ≤ x ≤ 12 wt% Mo) was prepared using an additive manufacturing technique, solutionized and then subjected to oxidation tests at 650 °C for different exposure times. The depth of oxygen diffusion, across the composition range, was assessed via change in the local hardness and the results were coupled with quantitative measurement of the oxygen concentration. The concentration of O in the α phase was reduced by 90 % after a short distance of 16 μm from the metal/oxide interface while it remained more or less the same in β phase. The solubility of Mo in α phase also approached zero near the surface as O changed the partition coefficient of this element between α and β phases. It was shown that the addition of Mo reduces the solubility of O in the metal substrate which in turn retards the transition point from parabolic to the linear oxidation stage.  相似文献

For a vertical jet system using various liquids, the shape change of liquid jets discharged from nozzles having different nozzle aspect ratios was evaluated in terms of the surface length lm of the jet flow, and the relation between the change of lm and the gas entrainment behavior was investigated. It was found that the way of changing of lm with varying operating conditions or the liquids corresponded well to that of changing of the gas entrainment rate Qg, that is, the change of lm of the jet before plunging could be closely related to the change of Qg.  相似文献

Flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) is caused by the accelerated dissolution of protective oxide film under the condition of high flow rate and has been one of the most important subjects in fossil and nuclear power plants. The dominant factors of FAC are water chemistry, material, and fluid dynamics. Understanding of the thinning mechanism is very important to estimate the quantitative effects of the dominant factors on FAC. In this study, a novel model of chemical effect on FAC under the steady-state condition was developed in consideration of the diffusion of soluble iron and chromium species, dissolved hydrogen, and dissolved oxygen. The formula to evaluate the critical concentration of dissolved oxygen for FAC suppression was derived. The present model reproduced qualitatively the effect of major environmental parameters on FAC rate. The model could explain the following facts. (1) The FAC rate shows a peak around 413 K. (2) The FAC rate decreases with an increase in Cr content. (3) The FAC rate decreases with an increase in pH. (4) The FAC rate decreases with an increase in dissolved oxygen concentration. (5) The maximum of critical dissolved oxygen concentration is observed around 353 K. (6) The critical dissolved oxygen concentration decreases with an increase in pH. We conclude that the diffusion of soluble species from the saturated layer under the steady-state condition well reproduces the unique FAC behavior with variation of water chemistry parameters.  相似文献

La0.56−yLi0.33TiO3−3yF3y (y = 0.017, 0.05) were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction from a mixture of La2O3, LiCO3, TiO2, and 10% excess LiF. The variation of the lattice parameter with increase of y value in La0.56−yLi0.33TiO3−3yF3y was different from that in conventional lithium-lanthanum-titanate series perovskite oxides, La0.56−yLi0.33+3yTiO3. Bulk Li-ion conductivities of the La0.56−yLi0.33TiO3−3yF3y are higher than those of La0.56-yLi0.33+3yTiO3. Li-ion conductivity of La0.56−yLi0.33TiO3−3yF3y (y = 0.017) was 2.30 × 10−3 S cm−1 at 30 °C, which is, to our knowledge, one of the highest Li-ion conductivities in the oxide compounds.  相似文献

The EORTC QLQ-C30 was developed in English-speaking cultures. To determine if this instrument could cross a broad cultural divide and be used in Japan, the cross-cultural validity of its Japanese version was estimated. In evaluating psychometric testing, internal consistency by Cronbach's alpha, item-discrimination by multitrait scaling analysis, and validity analysis with ECOG performance score (PS) and Karnofsky Performance Status Scale (KPS) were performed. The QLQ-C30 (version 1.0) was given to 105 patients with lung cancer. Although the response rate was low in patients with PS 4, the questionnaire was well accepted by patients with PS 0-3. The Japanese QLQ-C30 has a weak scale of role functioning in terms of item discriminative validity. It also has a weak scale of cognitive functioning in items of discriminative validity and internal consistency. However, known-groups comparison showed the expected clinical validity with PS for all the scales except for financial impact, and longitudinally clinical validity with KPS was shown in scales of cognitive functioning, fatigue, and nausea and vomiting. Multitrait scaling analysis showed that the predicted scales constituting quality of life (QOL) in the English-speaking culture were extracted from the Japanese QLQ-C30, and found to be valid in Japan, indicating its possible usefulness as an instrument that is universally applicable across cultures.  相似文献

The capability of extracting and recognizing characters printed in color documents will widen immensely the applications of OCR systems. This paper describes a new method of color segmentation to extract character areas from a color document. At first glance, the characters seem to be printed in a single color, but actual measurements reveal that the color image has a distribution of components. Compared with clustering algorithms, our method prevents oversegmentation and fusion with the background while maintaining real-time usability. It extracts the representative colors based on a histogram analysis of the color space. In this review, we describe previous basic and clinical studies on autonomous aldosterone production. Over the past decades, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) have been found to concentration-dependently inhibit steroidogenesis in different degrees. However, many studies have proven the suppressive effects of MRAs on the activities of hormone synthase. The probable factors of cytochrome P-450 reduction, both in microsomes and mitochondria, have also been considered: (1) one of the spironolactone metabolite forms had destructive function, except canrenone, (2) 7α-thio-spironolactone was an obligatory intermediate in the spironolactone-induced CYP450 decrease, and (3) the contributing steroids should have 7α-methylthio or 7α-methylsulfone groups. In previous clinical research, spironolactone-body-containing cells showed a type II pattern of enzyme activity (i.e., enhanced 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, glucose-6-phosphate, and NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase activities and weaken succinate dehydrogenase activity), and the subcapsular micronodules composed of spironolactone-body-containing cells also exhibited a type II pattern and excess aldosterone secretion, indicating that the subcapsular micronodules might be the root of aldosterone-producing adenoma. Moreover, combined with the potential impeditive function to aldosterone secretion, a few cases of spontaneous remission of primary aldosteronism, with normal ranges of blood pressure, plasma potassium, plasma renin activity, and aldosterone renin ratio, have been reported after long-term treatment with MRAs.  相似文献

To assess the significance of waste dumping sites as a source of chemical contamination to ecosystems, we analyzed the residue levels of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other organochlorines in the breast muscle of crows from a dumping site in the south of Chennai city, South India. Crows from the dumping site contained significantly higher total TEQs (60 +/- 27 pg/g lipid wt) than those from the reference sites (26 +/- 18 pg/g lipid wt). Especially, certain dioxin-like coplanar PCB congeners (Co-PCBs), such as CB-77 and CB-105, whose source is commercial PCBs,were significantly higher in crows from the dumping site than those from the reference sites. Profiles of PCDDs/DFs and Co-PCBs in crows from the dumping site were similar to those of soil at the same site, which was confirmed by principal component analysis. Furthermore, significant positive correlations were obtained between the congener-specific bioconcentration factors (BCFs) of PCDDs/DFs estimated from concentrations in crows and soil from the dumping site and the theoretical BCFs calculated from water-particle and lipid-water partitioning coefficients. On the other hand, the estimated BCFs had significant negative correlations with the molecular weight of PCDDs/DFs, indicating that molecular size limits their bioaccumulation. These results suggest that dioxin-like congeners in the soil of the dumping site were transferred directly to the crows through the ingestion of on-site garbage contaminated with soil, rather than through trophic transfer in the ecosystem. The present study provides insight into the ecological impacts of dumping sites.  相似文献

Small amounts of hydrogen in hydrogen storage alloys, such as Mg2Ni, were detected using neutron radiography (NRG). Hydrogen concentrations in a hydrogenated solid solution were determined by this technique. Furthermore, we were able to obtain NRG images for an initial stage of hydrogen absorption in the hydrogen storage alloys. NRG would be a new method of measurement to clarify the behavior of hydrogen in hydrogen storage alloys.  相似文献
