This work focuses on the feasibility of reusing and valorising rubber aggregates from shredded worn tyres in cement composites. Our purpose is to study the influence of both microstructures of matrix and of interfacial transition zone (ITZ) on mechanical properties of mortar–rubber aggregates mixtures. The same volume of rubber aggregates substituted volume fractions of sand. Volume ratios of rubber aggregates were ranged from 0% to 50%. Micro structural morphology of various samples was observed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The matrix porosity and the evolution of hydration products (CSH, CaOH2, CaCO3) were estimated for specimens that had been curing for 28 days at constant temperature and constant relative humidity. An energy dispersive X-ray analyser and X-ray diffraction were used together with SEM in order to quantify these results.  相似文献

Background: Enzymes of tricarboxylic acid (TCA) have recently been recognized as tumor suppressors. Mutations in the SDHB subunit of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) cause pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PCCs/PGLs) and predispose patients to malignant disease with poor prognosis. Methods: Using the human pheochromocytoma cell line (hPheo1), we knocked down SDHB gene expression using CRISPR-cas9 technology. Results: Microarray gene expression analysis showed that >500 differentially expressed gene targets, about 54%, were upregulated in response to SDHB knock down. Notably, genes involved in glycolysis, hypoxia, cell proliferation, and cell differentiation were up regulated, whereas genes involved in oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) were downregulated. In vitro studies show that hPheo1 proliferation is not affected negatively and the cells that survive by shifting their metabolism to the use of glutamine as an alternative energy source and promote OXPHOS activity. Knock down of SDHB expression results in a significant increase in GLUD1 expression in hPheo1 cells cultured as monolayer or as 3D culture. Analysis of TCGA data confirms the enhancement of GLUD1 in SDHB mutated/low expressed PCCs/PGLs. Conclusions: Our data suggest that the downregulation of SDHB in PCCs/PGLs results in increased GLUD1 expression and may represent a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in SDHB mutated tumors and SDHB loss of activity-dependent diseases.  相似文献

Indium sulfide (In2S3) is a good window or buffer layer for photovoltaic application. In this work, β-In2?xAlxS3 thin films with different thicknesses (400, 442, 646 and 714 nm) are successfully synthesized on heated glass substrates using a chemical spray pyrolysis technique. The thin film thickness effect on the structural, optical and photoluminescence (PL) properties of β-In2?xAlxS3 material is studied. The X-ray diffraction patterns suggest the formation of β-In2S3 cubic phase preferentially oriented towards (400) direction. The level of the residual dislocation seems to be reduced to 3.12 × 109 lines mm?2 for the optimum thickness (646 nm) for which the β-In2?xAlxS3 film crystallinity is the best one. In order to enhance the electrical properties, β-In2?xAlxS3 layers are annealed in air at 400 °C for different annealing times (15, 30 and 45 min). The minimum resistivity, maximum Hall mobility and carrier concentration are found for β-In2?xAlxS3 films annealed for 30 min. All samples have high transmittance of about 75 % but the wide band gap (Eg = 3.32 eV) is obtained for this optimum thickness. This result indicates good optical quality of β-In2?xAlxS3 layers. Defects-related PL properties are also discussed.  相似文献

Microsystems technology is an emerging technology that is used in ever more technical systems, such as inkjet nozzles or accelerometers. 3D micromechanical structures became feasible by miniaturizing macromechanical elements. One big challenge in downsizing mechanical elements is to adapt conventional manufacturing technologies to the conditions of microtechnology. Integrated design and production processes must be suited to the new requirements, in-depth knowledge of production technology is required to design micromechanical components. Since 2000, the Collaborative Research Center 499 “Design, Production and Quality Assurance of Molded Microcomponents made of Metallic and Ceramic Materials” has been focusing on a continuous and stable process chain for molded micro components (Albers et al. 2005, Microsyst Technol). The aim of prior funding periods was to develop the knowledge about how components, such as gearwheels, and systems, such as micro gears, can be designed. Present research is focused on how to design functional elements, i.e. shaft-hub joints to transmit torque. This paper will introduce an approach that generates know-how via testing several plain bearings and shaft-hub joints in order to derive the necessary know-how to develop simulation tools later on.  相似文献

This paper investigates the development of a biosensor associating two distinct enzymatic activities, that of the beta-galactosidase and that of the glucose oxidase, in order to apply it for the quantitative detection of lactose in milk. To eliminate interferences with glucose, a differential mode of measurement was used. Results show a linear calibration curve for lactose concentration between 60 and 800 μM (0.03 to 0.3 g/L). Tests with real commercial milk samples were carried out to validate the conductometric biosensor.  相似文献

The core of cognitive radio paradigm is to introduce cognitive devices able to opportunistically access the licensed radio bands. The coexistence of licensed and unlicensed users prescribes an effective spectrum hole‐detection and a non‐interfering sharing of those frequencies. Collaborative resource allocation and spectrum information exchange are required but often costly in terms of energy and delay. In this paper, each secondary user (SU) can achieve spectrum sensing and data transmission through a coalitional game‐based mechanism. SUs are called upon to report their sensing results to the elected coalition head, which properly decides on the channel state and the transmitter in each time slot according to a proposed algorithm. The goal of this paper is to provide a more holistic view on the spectrum and enhance the cognitive system performance through SUs behavior analysis. We formulate the problem as a coalitional game in partition form with non‐transferable utility, and we investigate on the impact of both coalition formation and the combining reports costs. We discuss the Nash Equilibrium solution for our coalitional game and propose a distributed strategic learning algorithm to illustrate a concrete case of coalition formation and the SUs competitive and cooperative behaviors inter‐coalitions and intra‐coalitions. We show through simulations that cognitive network performances, the energy consumption and transmission delay, improve evidently with the proposed scheme. Fatty acids and essential oils from hydroponically cultivated Salvia officinalis leaves were analyzed by GC and GC–MS. Four different levels of NaCl (25, 50, 75 and 100 mM) were applied. The first results showed that salt treatment reduced significantly the plant growth by 61% and the total fatty acids (TFA) content by 32% at 100 mM NaCl. Alpha-linolenic, gadoleic, palmitic and oleic acids were the major fatty acids. Moreover, the polyunsaturated fatty acids decreased, while the monounsaturated ones increased with respect to increasing salinity. Regarding the essential oil composition, the main compounds were α-and β-thujone, 1,8-cineole, camphor, α-humulene, viridiflorol and manool at all salt treatments. The yield had a maximum increase at 75 mM NaCl. Hence, sage can be considered as moderately salt sensitive.  相似文献

This paper deals with the optimisation of two-levels assembly system planning. This system is composed of a single machine, inventories at levels 1 and 2 for stock keeping components to assembly and final assembled product. It assumed that the machine processes all assembly operations and is subject to random failure. A mathematical model is developed to incorporate a supply planning for two-level assembly systems under stochastic lead times and breakdowns machine. A preventive maintenance plan is carried out to reduce the frequency of the corrective maintenance actions. This work has double goals. The first one is to find the optimal order release dates for the different components at level 2 and the optimal preventive maintenance plan. The second one is to quantify the risk due to machine failures which have an impact on the lead-time of the finished product. To consider the maintenance actions, preventive maintenance actions are perfectly performed to restore the machine to state “as good as new”, minimal repair is considered at failure. The model minimises the total cost, which is the sum of inventory holding cost for components at levels 1 and 2, backlogging and inventory holding cost for the finished products and maintenance costs. To illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, different meta-heuristics are applied; the genetic algorithm shows the most suited to our analytical model, the optimal release date founded by this algorithm allows finding the optimal preventive maintenance plan. The obtained optimal maintenance planning is used in the risk assessment in order to find the threshold repair period that avoids lost profit.  相似文献
