The reuse of rubber wastes of worn tires in aggregate form, to serve as a building material, is appreciated to preserve environment.
This study aims to examine the mechanical behaviour of a mortar–rubber aggregates material. A multi-phase model called 2M2C
(2 Mechanisms and 2 Criteria) which take the volume fraction substitution of rubber into account is investigated with the
help of stress–strain curves. The proposed model is based on the localization of the stress on the phases level (rubber and
mortar, respectively) and the homogenization of the local plastic strains. The model has also incorporated an isotropic damage
variable to describe the loss of compressive strength. The experimental tests are well simulated by the model. Also, the simulations

Brass alloy is widely used because of some attractive properties such as high electrical and thermal conductivity. But its fatigue performance after surface treatment is not very well explored in literature. Thus, in the present work, particular emphasis was given to the influence of surface treatment by shot peening on the fatigue life of brass alloy, throughout surface roughness and microstructural evolution. Fatigue tests were performed on unpeened, peened and peened then polished specimens. Various times of surface hardening treatment as 30, 60 and 120 min were considered. Experimental results reveal that the fatigue life of peened brass alloy decrease for all studied hardening treatment conditions. Surface roughness and microstructural properties showed large sensitivity to the shot peening process of brass alloy. 相似文献

Polyaniline (PANI) films were deposited under cyclic voltammetric conditions on 304L stainless steel by aniline electropolymerisation from acidic and slightly basic solutions containing respectively the followed support-electrolytes: H2C2O4 and KNO3.It was found that the film produced in oxalic acidic medium was more conductive than that obtained in potassium nitrate one.The PANI coatings corrosion performances in 0.5 M NaCl were investigated and compared using standard electrochemical methods, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and SEM analysis.The highest corrosion resisting efficiency was obtained for PANInitrate which exhibited a significant physical barrier property against the attack of corrosive products. However, the corrosion protection of conductive PANIoxalic coating was related to its catalytic behavior. 相似文献

Indium sulfide (In2S3) is a good window or buffer layer for photovoltaic application. In this work, β-In2?xAlxS3 thin films with different thicknesses (400, 442, 646 and 714 nm) are successfully synthesized on heated glass substrates using a chemical spray pyrolysis technique. The thin film thickness effect on the structural, optical and photoluminescence (PL) properties of β-In2?xAlxS3 material is studied. The X-ray diffraction patterns suggest the formation of β-In2S3 cubic phase preferentially oriented towards (400) direction. The level of the residual dislocation seems to be reduced to 3.12 × 109 lines mm?2 for the optimum thickness (646 nm) for which the β-In2?xAlxS3 film crystallinity is the best one. In order to enhance the electrical properties, β-In2?xAlxS3 layers are annealed in air at 400 °C for different annealing times (15, 30 and 45 min). The minimum resistivity, maximum Hall mobility and carrier concentration are found for β-In2?xAlxS3 films annealed for 30 min. All samples have high transmittance of about 75 % but the wide band gap (Eg = 3.32 eV) is obtained for this optimum thickness. This result indicates good optical quality of β-In2?xAlxS3 layers. In this paper, a manufacturing system composed of a single-product machine, a buffer and a stochastic demand is considered. Two models are presented: continuous and discrete flow models including constant delivery times, machine failures and random demands. The objective is to determine the value of the optimal buffer level, for a hedging point policy which minimises the total average cost function. The cost function is the sum of inventory, transportation and lost sales costs. Infinitesimal perturbation analysis is used for optimisation of the failure-prone manufacturing system. The trajectories of buffer level are studied for the continuous and discrete cases and the infinitesimal perturbation analysis estimators are evaluated. These estimators are shown to be unbiased and then they are implemented in an optimisation algorithm which determines the optimal buffer level in the presence of constant delivery time. Numerical results are presented for continuous and discrete flow models and then compared in order to evaluate the application of the infinitesimal perturbation analysis on the discrete flow model. 相似文献

Brown tumors (BTs) are relatively uncommon but they are serious complications of renal osteodystrophy. The objective of this study was to analyze the clinical, biological, and radiological characteristics of 16 patients with BTs provoked by secondary hyperparathyroidism (sHPT) and its response to the decrease in parathyroid hormone levels after parathyroidectomy (PTX). The management of that uncommon condition was also reviewed. We conducted a retrospective study including 16 end‐stage renal disease patients who underwent subtotal PTX between 1997 and 2007 for severe sHPT with BTs. Our study included 10 men and 6 women, whose average age was 34 years. All patients were on dialysis. Ten of them were on dialysis for more than 5 years. The median duration on dialysis was 84 months. Patients included suffered from swellings associated with functional limitations. BTs had multiple locations in 7 patients. Jaw was the most frequent location (62%). Radiography and tomodensitometry demonstrated a mixed radio lucent and radio‐opaque lesions with an expansion of the cortical bone. Bone scan demonstrated an increased uptake of lesions. Chirurgical treatment was indicated in all cases because of severe refractory sHPT with functional limitations and/or disfiguring deformities. In all cases, BTs stopped its progression and even decreased in size. However, it was insufficient in four cases, which required a surgical resection. PTX remains an efficacious approach in resistant cases of sHPT with persistent BTs. 相似文献

This paper deals with the optimisation of two-levels assembly system planning. This system is composed of a single machine, inventories at levels 1 and 2 for stock keeping components to assembly and final assembled product. It assumed that the machine processes all assembly operations and is subject to random failure. A mathematical model is developed to incorporate a supply planning for two-level assembly systems under stochastic lead times and breakdowns machine. A preventive maintenance plan is carried out to reduce the frequency of the corrective maintenance actions. This work has double goals. The first one is to find the optimal order release dates for the different components at level 2 and the optimal preventive maintenance plan. The second one is to quantify the risk due to machine failures which have an impact on the lead-time of the finished product. To consider the maintenance actions, preventive maintenance actions are perfectly performed to restore the machine to state “as good as new”, minimal repair is considered at failure. The model minimises the total cost, which is the sum of inventory holding cost for components at levels 1 and 2, backlogging and inventory holding cost for the finished products and maintenance costs. To illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, different meta-heuristics are applied; the genetic algorithm shows the most suited to our analytical model, the optimal release date founded by this algorithm allows finding the optimal preventive maintenance plan. The obtained optimal maintenance planning is used in the risk assessment in order to find the threshold repair period that avoids lost profit. 相似文献
