In this paper, a unified method is presented: (i) to model delaminated stiffened laminated composite shells; (ii) for synthesising accurate multiple post-buckling solution paths under compressive loading; and (iii) for predicting delamination growth. A multi-domain modelling technique is used for modelling the delaminated stiffened shell structures. Error-free geometrically nonlinear element formulations — a 2-noded curved stiffener element (BEAM2) and a 3-noded shell element (SHELL3) — are used for the finite element analysis. An accurate and simple automated solution strategy based on Newton type iterations is used for predicting the general geometrically nonlinear and postbuckling behaviour of structures. A simple method derived from the 3-dimensionalJ-integral is used for computing the pointwise energy release rate at the delamination front in the plate/shell models. Finally, the influence of post-buckling structural behaviour and the delamination growth on each other has been demonstrated.  相似文献

Plasma concentrations of gentamicin following a fixed dose of 240 mg once daily to patients with normal renal function were measured. The purpose was to establish guidelines to achieve a sufficiently high peak concentration with an appropriately low risk of accumulation. In 40 patients, 1-hour concentrations of plasma gentamicin had a median of 9.3 mg/l (range: 4.5-19.0 mg/l) and 9.7 mg/l (range: 3.6-14.6 mg/l) on days 1 and 3 of gentamicin treatment, respectively. Thirty-nine patients had 1-hour concentrations > 5 mg/l. The 1-hour concentrations varied considerably intra- and interindividually but showed a significant inverse correlation with body weight, surface area and the estimated endogenous creatinine clearance. The plasma gentamicin elimination half-life correlated significantly with age and inversely with body weight and creatinine clearance. There was no increase in the mean plasma creatinine from day 0 to day 4. No patients showed signs of nephrotoxicity, although 2 patients, both elderly and with low body weight, showed signs of beginning gentamicin accumulation. In conclusion, gentamicin treatment with the dose of 240 mg once daily in 3 days to adults with normal kidney function generally does not require adjustment or monitoring. However, the dose should be increased in young patients with an excessive body weight, and decreased doses are needed for old and underweight patients. Monitoring of trough plasma gentamicin concentration is not necessary with treatment duration of 3 days or less.  相似文献

Significative enhancement of free radical formation (FRO) in vivo is an important feature of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), namely preeclampsia (PIH). The latest investigations about the pathology of HDP, showed the contribution of placental circulation to the development and evolution of such disease. The placental bed can be a potential source of FRO or activation of cells that can produce FRO. Glutathione, is an important molecule for cellular protection against damage, is a cofactor of many enzymes, in particular, for the glutathione peroxidase of the placental tissue; this enzyme in the placenta bed prevent the production of thromboxan and lipoperoxides; the latter are potentially damaging to the endothelium cells and can cause vasoconstriction, the most important feature of PIH. The activity of that enzyme is deficient in PIH. We studied, by fluorometric assay, the concentrations of the two states of glutathione in placental homogenates (PLH) from pregnant women without pathology (PWN) and from pregnant women with PIH (PWPIH). The data showed significant low concentrations in the PLH of the two states of glutathione in the PWN against high concentrations of this molecule in the PLH from PWPIH. This feature can result from a deficient user of the glutathione by the cellular mechanism for prevention against oxidative factors. In addition, our study shows a biochemical marker that is suggestive that the placental bed is a potential source of FRO production in PIH.  相似文献

Thirty-seven plants are listed, which are used by traditional healers in the central and southern parts of Somalia. For each species are listed: the botanical name with synonyms, collection number, vernacular name, medicinal use, preparation of remedy and dosage. Results of a literature survey are also reported including medicinal use, substances isolated and pharmacological effects. Three plants which should have been included in Part I of the series have been added and some corrections to that paper have been made. With these additions the series comprises 180 different plant species, distributed in 59 plant families.  相似文献

We have studied TGF-beta mediated G1 arrest in WM35, an early stage human melanoma cell line. These cells have lost p15INK4B expression through loss of one chromosome 9 and rearrangement of the other. In asynchronously growing WM35, TGF-beta caused reductions in cyclin D1, cyclin A and cdk4 proteins and their associated kinase activities and an increase in both p21Cip1/WAF1 and p27Kip1. These findings were confirmed in cells released from quiescence in the presence of TGF-beta, in which TGF-beta inhibited or delayed the reduction in the cdk inhibitors that normally occurs in late G1. In contrast to observations in other cell types, there was an increased association of both p21Cip1/WAF1 and p27Kip1 with cyclin D1/cdk4 and with cyclin E/cdk2 during TGF-beta mediated arrest of asynchronously growing cells. Upregulation of p21Cip1/WAF1 preceded that of p27Kip1. Furthermore, p21Cip1/WAF1 and p27Kip1 were not present in the same cdk complexes but bound distinct populations of target cdk molecules. Both p21Cip1/WAF1 and p27Kip1 immunoprecipitates from asynchronously growing cells contained active kinase complexes. These KIP-associated kinase activities were reduced in TGF-beta arrested cells. It has been proposed that in TGF-beta arrested epithelial cells, up-regulation of p15INK4B and of p15INK4B binding to cdk4 serves to destabilize the association of p27Kip1 with cyclin D1/cdk4, promoting p27Kip1 binding and inhibition of cyclin E/cdk2. Our findings demonstrate that this is not a universal mechanism of G1 arrest by TGF-beta. In TGF-beta arrested WM35, which lack p15INK4B, the increased p21Cip1/WAF1 may serve a similar function to that of p15INK4B: initiating kinase inhibition and providing an additional mechanism to supplement the effect of p27Kip1 on G1 cyclin/cdks.  相似文献

It is shown that steady-state kinetic data do not allow the discrimination between the redox and associated mechanisms of the partial oxidation reactions. A discrimination between these mechanisms was performed using transient experiments. The obtained rate expressions are in agreement with experimental kinetic data for catalytic partial oxidation of o-xylene.

An influence of the conjugate oxidation of a catalyst surface on dynamics and kinetics of the heterogeneous catalytic oxidative reactions is considered. Computing simulation of methane oxidative coupling of methane reaction at lowered temperature and elevated pressure has been performed. It showed that the reaction order with respect to oxygen exceeding unity is consistent with the chain branching mechanism of the reaction in the presence of TiSi2 and TiB2 and showed the important role of the branching chain cycles in the low-temperature OCM reaction at elevated pressure.  相似文献

Convection promotion within a tubular ceramic membrane by using the kenics static mixer is studied. The experiments were carried out with aqueous solutions of pectin and sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), for Reynolds number in the range of 60-5000. From the results of these experiments it can be concluded that the presence of convection promotor decreasing the concentration of the gel layer. The experimental data are correlated satisfactorily by the equation of the general form Sh=A ReaScb.  相似文献
