The gross chemical composition and functional properties (solubility, emulsifying and foaming properties) of different amaranth
protein preparations were studied in model systems and were compared to those of casein and soy protein isolates. Preparations
of alkaline-soluble total protein, albumin, globulin, and glutelin-like alkaline-soluble residual protein were produced from
two different types of defatted amaranth meals by extraction and fractionation. Although similarity can be shown between protein
patterns of legumes (including soy) and amaranth, the emulsifying and foaming properties of amaranth protein preparations
are relatively poor in comparison to the reference proteins, except foaming properties of albumin preparations. Nevertheless,
taking in mind that these properties depend on interactions with other food components and textural requirements of individual

The effects of frozen storage and initial baking time of par‐baked cake on baking loss, volume, moisture, colour and textural properties of cake obtained after thawing and rebaking were investigated. Cakes, par‐baked at 175 °C for 15, 20 and 25 min, were stored at ?18 °C for 3, 6 and 9 months. After storage, par‐baked cakes were thawed and rebaked at 175 °C for 10, 15 and 20 min. Baking loss, moisture content, L and +b colour values, firmness, gumminess and chewiness of the resulting full‐baked cakes were significantly affected by both par‐baking and frozen storage time, while specific volume, cohesiveness, springiness and resilience values were significantly affected by frozen storage time. The increase in the time of frozen storage of the par‐baked cake leads to a decrease in the quality of the rebaked cake, namely an increase of baking loss and cake crumb firmness, and a loss in the moisture content and specific volume. Moisture of cake crumb, L and +b colour values, firmness, gumminess and chewiness significantly increased as the par‐baking time increased. However, regarding baking loss, specific volume, moisture content and textural properties, 3‐month intermediate storage at ?18 °C and 20‐min initial baking time gave the best result among the cakes produced by using the two‐step baking procedure. 相似文献

The disease was associated with boosting of reversible red cell aggregation, which was most of all expressed during metabolic decompensation with ketoacidosis. Steel moment‐resisting frames (SMRFs) are the most common type of structural systems used in steel structures. The first step of structural design for SMRFs starts with the selection of the structural sections on the basis of story drift limitation. ASCE 7 (2010) requires that the inelastic story drifts be obtained by multiplying the deflections determined by elastic analysis under design earthquake forces with a deflection amplification factor (Cd). For special moment‐resisting frames, Cd is given as 5.5 in ASCE 7 (2010). Lower Cd values will increase the overall inelastic response of the structure. On the other hand, the inelastic response of the structure is expected to be less severe when designed for higher Cd values. The performance objective is that the structure should sustain the inelastic deformation demand imposed due to design earthquake ground motions. This study aims at investigating the inelastic seismic response that low‐rise, medium‐rise and high‐rise SMRFs can experience under design earthquake ground motions and maximum considered earthquake (MCE) level ground motions and evaluating the deflection amplification factors (Cd) for SMRFs in a rational way. For this purpose, nonlinear dynamic time history and pushover analyses will be carried out on SMRFs with 4, 9 and 20 stories. The results indicate that the current practice for computing the inelastic story drifts for SMRFs is rational and the frames designed complying with the current code requirements can sustain the inelastic deformations imposed during design earthquake ground motions when seismically designed and detailed. We present a 2nd-order 4-bit continuous-time (CT) delta-sigma modulator (DSM) employing a 2nd-order loop filter with a single operational amplifier. This choice strongly reduces the power consumption, since operational amplifiers are the most power hungry blocks in the DSM. The DSM has been implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process, where it occupies an area of \(0.08\,\hbox {mm}^2\) . It achieves an SNDR of 64 dB over a 500 kHz signal bandwidth with an oversampling ratio of 16. The power consumption is \(76\,\upmu \hbox {W}\) from a 800 mV power supply. The DSM figure-of-merit is 59 fJ/conversion. The CT DSM is well suited for the receiver of an ultra-low-power radio. 相似文献

Previous research on driver drowsiness detection has focused on developing in-car systems that continuously monitor the driver while driving and warn him/her when drowsiness compromises safety. In occupational settings a simple test of postural control has showed sensitivity to work shift induced fatigue in drivers. Whether the test is feasible for surveillance purposes in roadside settings is unknown. This paper is devoted to a new approach for the derivation of main thermoelastic Green’s functions (MTGFs), based on their new integral representations via Green’s functions for Poisson’s equation. These integral representations have permitted us to derive in elementary functions new MTGFs and new Poisson-type integral formulas for a thermoelastic octant under mixed mechanical and thermal boundary conditions, which are formulated in a special theorem. Examples of validation of the obtained MTGFs are presented. The effectiveness of the obtained MTGFs and of the Poisson-type integral formula is shown on a solution in elementary functions of a particular BVP of thermoelasticity for octant. The graphical and numerical computer evaluation of the obtained MTGFs and of the thermoelastic displacements of the particular BVP for an octant is also presented. By using the proposed approach, it is possible to derive in elementary functions many new MTGFs and new Poisson-type integral formulas for many canonical Cartesian domains. 相似文献
