In this work, PVDF composites containing 0.2% (m/m) of carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), PVDF with 5.0% (m/m) of zinc oxide (ZnO), and composites containing both particles in the same contents in the matrix were melt processed in a mini-extruder machine with double screws, using the counter-rotation mode. Composites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA), and contact angle tests (CA). The samples presented the predominance of the α phase, with an increased degree of crystallinity as well as an increase in dimensional stability by incorporating both fillers, showing a synergistic effect between these particles, as shown on FTIR, DSC, and XRD results. SEM images showed a good dispersion of high aspect ratio particles. In general, DMA and TGA analysis showed that composites had not decreased their thermal and mechanical performance when compared to neat PVDF. Results of CA analysis showed an increase in the hydrophobicity of the sample containing MWCNTs. Permeability tests were also performed using a differential pressure system, combining high temperature and pressure, obtaining permeability measures and time lag. This work presents an alternative of composite materials, suggesting its application in the internal pressure sheath layers of oil and gas flexible pipes.  相似文献

Epoxidized methyl esters (EMO) with their high oxirane ring reactivity, acts as a raw material in the synthesis of various industrial chemicals including polymers, stabilizers, plasticizers, glycols, polyols, carbonyl compounds, biolubricants etc. EMO has been generally quantified by the gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) techniques. Taking into the account of the limitations of these techniques, two qHNMR-based equations have been proposed for the quantification of EMO in the mixture of EMO and methylesters (MO). The validity of the proposed method was determined using standard mixtures of MO and EMO having different molar concentrations. The developed equations have been applied on the samples of EMO prepared from oleic acid in two-step process viz., esterification followed by epoxidation. The qHNMR-based EMO quantification showed acceptable agreement with the results obtained from HPLC analysis.  相似文献

Cell division cycle 25A (Cdc25A) is a dual-specificity phosphatase that is overexpressed in several cancer cells and promotes tumorigenesis. In normal cells, Cdc25A expression is regulated tightly, but the changes in expression patterns in cancer cells that lead to tumorigenesis are unknown. In this study, we showed that ubiquitin-specific protease 29 (USP29) stabilized Cdc25A protein expression in cancer cell lines by protecting it from ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation. The presence of USP29 effectively blocked polyubiquitination of Cdc25A and extended its half-life. CRISPR-Cas9-mediated knockdown of USP29 in HeLa cells resulted in cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase. We also showed that USP29 knockdown hampered Cdc25A-mediated cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of cancer cells in vitro. Moreover, NSG nude mice transplanted with USP29-depleted cells significantly reduced the size of the tumors, whereas the reconstitution of Cdc25A in USP29-depleted cells significantly increased the tumor size. Altogether, our results implied that USP29 promoted cell cycle progression and oncogenic transformation by regulating protein turnover of Cdc25A.  相似文献

The influence of secondary phases (illite, quartz) on the geopolymerization reaction of metakaolin has been investigated by comparing two metakaolins, one prepared from a pure kaolinite and the other from illite- and quartz-containing Algerian kaolin from the Tamazert region, respectively. Geopolymerization was achieved by mixing the metakaolins with an alkaline sodium silicate solution at room temperature and curing at 50 °C. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction and 29Si and 27Al MAS-NMR. The results show that the secondary phases, at the concentration used in this work, do not prevent the geopolymerization reaction.  相似文献

This paper presents a multiscale corner detection method in planar shapes, which applies an undecimated Mexican hat wavelet decomposition of the angulation signal to identify significant points on a shape contour. The advantage of using this wavelet is that it is well suited for detecting singularities as corners and contours due to its excellent selectivity in position. Thus, this wavelet plays an important role in our approach because it identifies changes in non-stationary angulation signals, and it can be extended to multidimensional approaches in an efficient way when approximating this wavelet by difference of Gaussians. The proposed algorithm detects peaks on a correlation signal which is generated from different wavelet scales and retains relevant points on the decomposed angulation signal while discards poor information. Our approach assumes that only peaks which persist through several scales correspond to corners. Furthermore, we introduce a novel procedure to tune parameters for the corner detection algorithms that corresponds to the best relation between Precision and Recall measures. This technique guides the parameter adjustment of the algorithms according to the image database and it improves their performance with regard to true corner detection. Concerning the performance assessment of the algorithms, we compare the proposed one to other corner detectors by using Precision and Recall measures which are based on ground-truth information. Tests were carried out using more than a hundred images from a non-homogenous database that contains noisy and non-noisy binary shapes.  相似文献

A computer program has been developed to exploit the multimedia capabilities of a personal computer for a new design of sodar (sonic detection and ranging) data acquisition and control system with minimized hardware elements. Advantages include trouble-free, cost-effective and user-friendly sodar data acquisition using any standard computer. The new design overcomes limitations due to using an add-on data acquisition card with conventional computer-controlled sodar. The data can be processed to produce online display of the dynamics of prevailing atmospheric boundary layer thermal structures and inversion/mixing depth for environmental applications.  相似文献

This review includes research papers on different method of preparation of rare earth activated Sr2SiO4 phosphors and its luminescence studies. Here in Sr2SiO4 has attracted great interest due to its special structure features, excellent physical and chemical stability. Besides, it absorbs ultraviolet radiation and emits white light when activated by different rare earth ions. Different synthesis techniques were compared and it is found that sol–gel synthesis technique is best for preparation of rare earth activated Sr2SiO4 phosphors. Literature related to characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction techniques, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and other studies are also compared. Photoluminescence studies for white light emitting diode of various rare earth phosphors are compared with Sr2SiO4 phosphor reported in this review. Also some luminescence techniques such as thermoluminescence glow curve analysis and some spectroscopic parameters are also compared. The review end with some important conclusion related to rare earth activated Sr2SiO4 phosphors with proper justifications.  相似文献

Depth image based rendering (DIBR) is a popular technique for rendering virtual 3D views in stereoscopic and autostereoscopic displays. The quality of DIBR-synthesized images may decrease due to various factors, e.g., imprecise depth maps, poor rendering techniques, inaccurate camera parameters. The quality of synthesized images is important as it directly affects the overall user experience. Therefore, the need arises for designing algorithms to estimate the quality of the DIBR-synthesized images. The existing 2D image quality assessment metrics are found to be insufficient for 3D view quality estimation because the 3D views not only contain color information but also make use of disparity to achieve the real depth sensation. In this paper, we present a new algorithm for evaluating the quality of DIBR generated images in the absence of the original references. The human visual system is sensitive to structural information; any deg radation in structure or edges affects the visual quality of the image and is easily noticeable for humans. In the proposed metric, we estimate the quality of the synthesized view by capturing the structural and textural distortion in the warped view. The structural and textural information from the input and the synthesized images is estimated and used to calculate the image quality. The performance of the proposed quality metric is evaluated on the IRCCyN IVC DIBR images dataset. Experimental evaluations show that the proposed metric outperforms the existing 2D and 3D image quality metrics by achieving a high correlation with the subjective ratings.

In this work, the use of a laboratory twin-screw extruder was evaluated to process ultrahigh molar mass polyethylene and composites with carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Commercial polymer samples with lubricant (1%) and different percentages (0.01%, 0.05%, and 0.1%) of pure, oxidized, and chemically surface treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were evaluated. The results showed that polymer melting and crystallization temperatures were not affected by CNTs, although an increase in the degree of crystallinity in all nanocomposites was observed along with a decrease in crystal size. Therefore, CNTs behaved as nucleating agents. All ultrahigh molar mass polyethylene (UHMWPE)/CNT samples showed increased initial degradation temperature, although this was not very great when introducing acetylated and stearic acid modified CNTs. Both oxidized CNTs and stearic acid CNTs did not markedly improve the composites' mechanical properties. Therefore, the nanocomposites containing pure CNTs and most of those with acetylated CNTs resulted in higher reinforcement for UHMWPE. The addition of the lubricant allowed the polymer matrix to be processed in the extruder, whereas the increase in CNT content in UHMWPE improved the stiffness of the material. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
