The paper is concerned with stability and accuracy of n-order finite element (FE) steady-state solutions of traveling magnetic field problem. It is found that the odd-order FE solutions (nis the odd number) are stable0 < sigma|u|h|nu < f(n) simeq 2.0 + 1.4(n - 1), and that the even-order FE solutions (nis the even number) are unconditionally stable. The consistent domain is also proposed, in which then-order FE solutions are stable and of 2n-order accuracy. Moreover, three-dimensional cases are dealt with, and the comparison with upwind methods is given. The merit and limits of the n-order FE method are finally cleared.  相似文献

This experiment was carried out to address the need for overcoming the difficulties encountered in hydrogen analysis by means of plasma emission spectroscopy in atmospheric ambient gas. The result of this study on zircaloy-4 samples from a nuclear power plant demonstrates the possibility of attaining a very sharp emission line from impure hydrogen with a very low background and practical elimination of spectral contamination of hydrogen emission arising from surface water and water vapor in atmospheric ambient gas. This was achieved by employing ultrapure ambient helium gas as well as the proper defocusing of the laser irradiation and a large number of repeated precleaning laser shots at the same spot of the sample surface. Further adjustment of the gating time has led to significant reduction of spectral width and improvement of detection sensitivity to ~50 ppm. Finally, a linear calibration curve was also obtained for the zircaloy-4 samples with zero intercept. These results demonstrate the feasibility of this technique for practical in situ and quantitative analysis of hydrogen impurity in zircaloy-4 tubes used in a light water nuclear power plant.  相似文献

The superior catalytic activity along with improved CO tolerance for formic acid electrooxidation has been demonstrated on a NiO-decorated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) catalyst. The cyclic voltammetry response of rGO–NiO/Pt catalyst elucidates improved CO tolerance and follows direct oxidation pathway. It is probably due to the bene?cial effect of residual oxygen groups on rGO support which is supported by FT-IR spectrum. A strong interaction of rGO support with NiO nanoparticles facilitates the removal of CO from the catalyst surface. The chronoamperometric response indicates a higher catalytic activity and stability of rGO–NiO/Pt catalyst than the NiO/Pt and unmodified Pt electrode catalyst for a prolonged time of continuous oxidation of formic acid.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to assess the differences in fermentative behaviour of two different strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (EC1118 and RC212) and to determine the differences in composition and sensory properties of raspberry wines fermented with immobilized and suspended yeast cells of both strains at 15 °C. Analyses of aroma compounds, glycerol, acetic acid and ethanol, as well as the kinetics of fermentation and a sensory evaluation of the wines, were performed. All fermentations with immobilized yeast cells had a shorter lag phase and faster utilization of sugars and ethanol production than those fermented with suspended cells. Slower fermentation kinetics were observed in all the samples that were fermented with strain RC212 (suspended and immobilized) than in samples fermented with strain EC1118. Significantly higher amounts of acetic acid were detected in all samples fermented with strain RC212 than in those fermented with strain EC1118 (0.282 and 0.602 g/l, respectively). Migration of the potential endocrine disrupter, bisphenol A (BPA), from 31 polycarbonate (PC) baby bottles into aqueous food simulants was studied under real repetitive use, using a sensitive and fully validated liquid chromatographic method with fluorescence detection. Confirmation of the presence of BPA was performed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The effects of cleaning in a dishwasher or with a brush, sterilization with boiling water and the temperature of migration were examined. It was shown that temperature was the crucial factor for the migration of BPA from the plastic bottles to water. All samples released BPA in the concentration range 2.4-14.3 µg kg-1 when filled with boiled water and left at ambient temperature for 45 min. The decrease of BPA release in the sterilization water and in the food simulant over 12 cycles of use indicated that the hypothesis of polymer degradation in water is dubious. Estimated infantile dietary exposure, regarding the use of PC baby bottles, ranged between 0.2 and 2.2 µg kg-1 bw day-1, which is below the Tolerable Daily Intake of 50 µg kg-1 bw recently established by EFSA.  相似文献

CuInSe2 (CIS) thin films, the thickness of about 1.0 μm and composition of Cu/In ratio (γ = 1.79), were grown on (0 0 1)-oriented GaAs substrate by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) at substrate temperature of Ts, = 450°C. The samples have been characterized by means of piezoelectric photoacoustic (PPA) measurements between liquid helium (4.2 K) and room temperature (300 K). Two distinct PPA signals due to band gap of CIS and GaAs are observed in the whole temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K and the PPA signals of CIS decrease curvilinearly at the temperature range. Since the PPA signals of CIS thin films can be obtained up to room temperature, the PPA measurements are quite effective to obtain the optical characterizations, especially for the nonradiative recombination processes.  相似文献

We analyzed in‐game content from titles released between 1983 and 2014 (n = 571) featuring playable female characters. Results indicate that sexualization has diminished since an observed height in the 1990s. Traditionally male‐oriented genres (e.g. fighting) have more sexualized characters than role‐playing games. Games rated Teen or Mature did not differ in sexualization and featured more sexualization than Everyone games. Despite an increase in games featuring playable female characters, games still depict female characters more often in secondary roles and sexualized them more than primary characters. A positive relationship emerged between the sexualization of female characters and their physical capability. Critical success of games was unrelated to sexualization. We discuss these findings in light of social identity and objectification theories.  相似文献

Existing pervasive applications are based on time series data that possess the form of time‐ordered series of events. Such applications also embody the need to handle large volumes of unexpected events, often modified on‐the‐fly, containing conflicting information, and dealing with rapidly changing contexts while producing results with low latency. Correlating events across contextual dimensions holds the key to expanding the capabilities and improving the performance of these applications. In this paper we analyze complex‐event semantic correlation that examines epistemic uncertainty in computer networks by using Dempster–Shafer theory to support a high‐volume, event‐based, in‐network and non‐deterministic pervasive network management. We consider imprecision and uncertainty when an event is detected and associate a belief parameter with the semantics and the detection of composite events. The approach taps into in‐network processing capabilities of pervasive computer networks and can withstand missing or conflicting information gathered from multiple participating entities. In the end, we establish that a lightweight, distributed, large‐volume, event‐based technique which exploits epistemic uncertainty to correlate events along contextual dimensions provides a successful technique for enabling management of large‐scale and pervasive contemporary and future computer networks. Mobile learning can augment formal education and bridge the gap between formal and informal education by creating extended learning communities using any digital technology in connected or infrastructure‐less environments. With the use of ad hoc networks and mobile authoring tools, we can now create an ‘on‐the‐fly’ learning scenario, where learners can create, share, and view content from their mobile devices without the need for server–client or infrastructure‐based liaisons. Mobile learning, however, is not just about sharing content or learning using mobile, wireless, and portable devices. Rather, it is learning across spatiotemporal contexts that enables learners to form knowledge and understanding in different scenarios. When facing limited resources stemming from the characteristics of mobility and wireless technologies, determining the best practices for content creation and delivery becomes a challenge. This paper describes the architecture of a mobile‐focused learning network designed so that learning tools, activities, contexts, and interactions are created as necessary over time and space while adhering to traditional learning object standards.
