The effects of ripening degree of olives on volatile profile of monovarietal virgin olive oils (VOO) from Tunisian and Sicilian cultivars were investigated. Fruits obtained from Tunisia (Chétoui and Chemlali) and Italy (Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Cerasuola) were picked at three different stages of ripeness and then immediately processed. Moreover, the changes in volatile composition were evaluated in Chétoui variety as a function of the irrigation regime versus the rain-fed control. Using headspace–solid-phase microextraction (HS–SPME) technique coupled to GC–MS and GC–FID, the volatile compounds of the monovarietal virgin olive oils were identified and quantitatively analyzed. The proportions of different classes of volatiles of oils showed significant differences throughout the maturity process. The results suggest that adding to the genetic factor; agronomic conditions affect the volatile formation and therefore the organoleptic properties of VOO.  相似文献

Two different extraction methods were used for a comparative study of Algerian Myrtle leaf essential oils: solvent-free-microwave-extraction (SFME) and conventional hydrodistillation (HD). Essential oils analyzed by GC and GC-MS presented 51 components constituting 97.71 and 97.39% of the total oils, respectively. Solvent-Free-Microwave-Extract Essential oils SFME-EO were richer in oxygenated compounds. Their major compounds were 1,8-cineole, followed by α-pinene as against α-pinene, followed by 1,8-cineole for HD. Their antimicrobial activity was investigated on 12 microorganisms. The antioxidant activities were studied with the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging method. Generally, both essential oils showed high antimicrobial and weak antioxidant activities. Microstructure analyses were also undertaken on the solid residue of myrtle leaves by Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM); it showed that the SFME-cellular structure undergoes significant modifications compared to the conventional HD residual solid. Comparison between hydrodistillation and SFME presented numerous distinctions. Several advantages with SFME were observed: faster kinetics and higher efficiency with similar yields: 0.32% dry basis, in 30 min as against 180 min for HD.  相似文献

Many methods have been proposed to extract the most relevant areas of an image. This article explores the method of edge detection by the multiscale product(MP) of the wavelet transform. The wavelet used in this work is the first derivative of a bidimensional Gaussian function. Initially, we construct the wavelet, then we present the MP approach which is applied to binary and grey levels images. This method is compared with other methods without noise and in the presence of noise. The experiment results show that the MP method for edge detection outperforms conventional methods even in noisy environments.  相似文献

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are incurable disorders whose prevalence and global socioeconomic impact are increasing. While the role of host genetics and immunity is well documented, that of gut microbiota dysbiosis is increasingly being studied. However, the molecular basis of the dialogue between the gut microbiota and the host remains poorly understood. Increased activity of serine proteases is demonstrated in IBD patients and may contribute to the onset and the maintenance of the disease. The intestinal proteolytic balance is the result of an equilibrium between the proteases and their corresponding inhibitors. Interestingly, the serine protease inhibitors (serpins) encoded by the host are well reported; in contrast, those from the gut microbiota remain poorly studied. In this review, we provide a concise analysis of the roles of serine protease in IBD physiopathology and we focus on the serpins from the gut microbiota (gut serpinome) and their relevance as a promising therapeutic approach.  相似文献

Rapid proliferation in state-of-the art technologies has revolutionized the medical market for providing urgent, effective and economical health facilities to aging society. In this context media (i.e., video) transmission is considered as a quite significant step during first hour of the emergency for presenting a big and better picture of the event. However, the energy hungry media transmission process and slow progress in battery technologies have become a major and serious problem for the evolution of video technology in medical internet of things (MIoT) or internet of medical things (IoMT). So, promoting Green (i.e., energy-efficient) transmission during voluminous and variable bit rate (VBR) video in MIoT is a challenging and crucial problem for researchers and engineers. Therefore, the need arose to conduct research on Green media transmission techniques to cater the need of upcoming wearable healthcare devices. Thus, this research contributes in two distinct ways; first, a novel and sustainable Green Media Transmission Algorithm (GMTA) is proposed, second, a mathematical model and architecture of Green MIoT are designed by considering a 8-min medical media stream named, ‘Navigation to the Uterine Horn, transection of the horn and re-anastomosis’ to minimize transmission energy consumption in media-aware MIoT, and to develop feasible media transmission schedule for sensitive and urgent health information from physian to patients and vice vers through extremely power hungry natured wearable devices. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed GMTA saves energy up to 41%, to serve the community.

In recent years, interest in the use of gallium oxide (Ga2O3) in semiconductor devices has increased due to its wide bandgap that permits device operation at high temperatures and high voltages. As the size of these devices decrease, it becomes more important to be able to produce features on the micro and nanoscale. Traditional etching (both wet and dry) have several limitations which either are unable to produce nano-features at the required scale or degrade device quality. Consequently, photoelectrochemical etching of Ga2O3 is of interest to researchers for its potential to produce features on the order of magnitude required while also causing minimal device degradation. Photoelectrochemical etching introduces a number of parameters that can be adjusted to control the etching process. In this work, we demonstrated photoelectrochemical etching of Ga2O3 by showing the effect of changing electrolyte concentration, anodic voltage, and etching time on the etching process. This etching method could be useful for a variety of applications which require complex patterning of Ga2O3 with high degrees of control compared to simple wet or dry etching processes.  相似文献

The effect of highly purified sardine proteins was compared with that of casein on serum and lipoproteins lipid peroxidation and reverse cholesterol transport. Lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activity, high density lipoproteins (HDL2 and HDL3) composition and serum lipid and lipoproteins peroxidation were determined in rats fed a cholesterol-rich diet. Hypercholesterolemic rats were divided into two groups fed diets enriched with cholesterol and containing 20% of highly purified sardine proteins (SPc) or casein (CASc) for 28 days. A control group was fed a standard diet (CAS). Compared with CAS and CASc, the thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) concentrations of low density lipoprotein (LDL)–HDL1 in SPc were 3.5- and 1.7-fold higher compared with casein diets. TBARS in HDL2 and HDL3 were, respectively, 2.3- and 1.6-fold lower in SPc compared with CASc. In SPc group, LCAT activity was higher compared to CASc and CAS (P < 0.05). Purified sardine proteins had no beneficial effects on LDL-cholesterol and lipid peroxidation. However, they reduced HDL oxidation and improved reverse cholesterol transport, in the hypercholesterolemic rat.  相似文献

In a general survey of nPbO-BiVO4 compounds, interesting phases corresponding to n = 1: PbBiVO5, and n = 2: Pb2BiVO6 are described. A phase transition has been unambiguously characterized for PbBiVO5. The crystal structures were solved from twinned crystals at room temperature (α phase, triclinic, S.G. P-1) and at 530°C (β phase, monoclinic, C2/m). Powder neutron diffraction experiments confirmed these settings and both room-temperature (RT) and high-temperature (HT) refinements corroborated space group choices, clearing up a literature controversy about the centrosymmetry of the α phase, and identifying structural modifications occurring under the α → β transition. Cationic substitutions for V were tested and PbBi(V1−x M x )O5 (M = P) solid solutions identified. Pb2BiVO6 (n = 2) is a compound showing several successive structural transitions, i.e., α → β → δ. Structures of α and δ forms have been previously described from powder diffraction data (x-ray and neutron). In this work, we have refined these structures from single-crystal data, and the resolution of the intermediate β form, so far unsolved, was possible through a stabilization thermal cycle; its complete structural understanding required a 4D formalism. Two new polymorphic phases, α′ and δ′, were obtained by substituting Mn or P for V; their structures are closely related to, respectively, the α phase at room temperature, and the δ phase at 680°C. Electrical conductivities of all structurally characterized compositions were investigated, and correlations were drawn between their conduction properties and structural characteristics. Conductivity properties measured under variable O2 partial pressures for Pb2Bi(V0.75P0.25)O6 were interpreted as a mixed ionic–electronic (p-type) conduction mechanism.  相似文献

In this work, we investigated the influence of galvanizing immersion time and cooling modes environments on the electrochemical corrosion behavior of hot-dip galvanized steel, in 1 M sulfuric acid electrolyte at room temperature using potentiodynamic polarization technique. In addition, the evolution of thickness, structure and microstructure of zinc coatings for different immersion times and two cooling modes (air and water) is characterized, respectively, by using of Elcometer scan probe, x-ray diffraction and metallography analysis. The analysis of the behavior of steel and galvanized steel, vis-a-vis corrosion, by means of corrosion characteristic parameters as anodic (β a) and cathodic (β c) Tafel slopes, corrosion potential (E corr), corrosion current density (i corr), corrosion rate (CR) and polarization resistance (R p), reveals that the galvanized steel has anticorrosion properties much better than that of steel. More the immersion time increases, more the zinc coatings thickness increases, and more these properties become better. The comparison between the two cooling modes shows that the coatings of zinc produced by hot-dip galvanization and air-cooled provides a much better protection to steel against corrosion than those cooled by quenching in water which exhibit a brittle corrosive behavior due to the presence of cracks.  相似文献
