Zinc oxide thin films grown by sol–gel and RF sputtering methods have been characterized. The characterization techniques used involve ellipsometry, optical absorption, scanning tunneling microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The films grown by sol–gel spin method which followed zinc acetate route exhibited a smoother texture than the films, which were deposited by using zinc nitrate route. The later type of films showed a dendritic character. Nano-structured fine grains of size ranging from 20 to 60 nm were observed with zinc nitrate precursor film. Individual grains show a sharp contrast with different facets and boundaries. Crystal planes and lattice parameters calculated by electron diffraction and X-ray diffraction are quite close and in agreement with the reported values in literature. Scanning tunneling microscopy has been used for measuring the average roughness of the surface and estimating the lattice constants. The STM studies of RF sputtered films, although showing a ZnO structure, exhibited a disturbed lattice. This was presumably due to the fact that after deposition the films were not annealed. Nanographs of 2D and 3D view of atomic positions of ZnO have been presented by using scanning tunneling microscopy. 相似文献

The main motivation in this paper is to draw attention to the tunability and input‐signal amplitude limitations when a nonlinear device is used as a resistor. For this purpose, two first‐order all‐pass filters are proposed using differential difference current conveyor (DDCC), a capacitor and a resistor without element‐matching restriction. These all‐pass filter circuits can be made electronically tunable with electronic resistors. Tunability and input‐signal amplitude limitations of the proposed circuits due to the operational restrictions of the electronic resistors are examined. Selecting a threshold from the gradient histogram, a histogram of gradient magnitudes, of an image plays a crucial role in a gradient based edge detection system. This paper presents a methodology to determine the threshold from a gradient histogram generated using any kind of linear gradient operator on an image. We consider the image as a random process with dependent samples, model the gradient histogram using theories of random process and random input to a system, and determine a region of interest in the gradient histogram using certain properties of a probability density function. Standard histogram thresholding techniques are then used within the region of interest to get the threshold value. To obtain the edges, this threshold value is then used as the upper threshold of the hysteresis thresholding technique that follows the non-maximum suppression operation applied on the gradient magnitude image. The proposed methodology of determining a threshold in a gradient histogram is deduced through rigorous analysis and hence it helps in achieving consistently appreciable edge detection performance. Experimental results using different real-life and benchmark images are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique. 相似文献

In this paper, we describe the design and testing of a system for recording electroneurographic signals (ENG) from a multielectrode nerve cuff (MEC). This device, which is an extension of the conventional nerve signal recording cuff, enables ENG to be classified by action potential velocity. In addition to electrical measurements, we provide preliminary in vitro data obtained from frogs that demonstrate the validity of the technique for the first time. Since typical ENG signals are extremely small, on the order of 1 1 microV, very low-noise, high-gain amplifiers are required. The ten-channel system we describe was realized in a 0.8 microm CMOS technology and detailed measured results are presented. The overall gain is 10 000 and the total input-referred root mean square (rms) noise in a bandwidth 1 Hz-5 kHZ is 291 nV. The active area is 12 mm(2) and the power consumption is 24 mW from +/-2.5 V power supplies. 相似文献

Chemically pure reactive alumina (α-Al2O3) which is commercially available was used for densification study in presence of widely accepted dopant MgO as additive. MgO was added both as spinel (MgAl2O4) forming precursor i.e. magnesium aluminate hydrate, and magnesium nitrate. Sintering investigations were conducted in the temperature range 1500–1600°C with 2 h soaking. Structural study of sintered pellets was carried out by extensive XRD analysis. Scanning electron mode SEM images of the specimens were considered to understand the effect of both types of additions. Addition of MgO within and beyond optimum amount had some effect on development of microstructure of sintered bodies. Densification, around 99% ρ th, with fine grain microstructure was achieved. These different types of additions caused two distinct changes in crystal structure of alumina—one small contraction and the other expansion of unit cell parameters. 相似文献

Hydroxyapatite (HAp), an important bio-ceramic was successfully synthesized by combustion in the aqueous system containing calcium nitrate-di-ammonium hydrogen orthophosphate-urea. The combustion flame temperature of solution combustion reaction depends on various process parameters, and it plays a significant role in the phase formation, phase stability and physical characteristics of calcium hydroxyapatite powder. In this work, an attempt has been made to evaluate the influence of each selected process parameters on the flame temperature as well as physical characteristics of powder, and to select an optimal parameters setting using Taguchi method. A regression model has also been developed to correlate the input parameters, viz. batch size, diluents, fuel to oxidizer ratio and initial furnace temperature, with flame temperature of the solution combustion reaction. In this study, rubber compounds were produced in varying proportions of carboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (XNBR) and natural rubber (NR) and the parameters such as cure characteristics, wear behavior against various surfaces at different normal loads, and frictional works were tested. The tensile strength and dynamic co-efficient of friction of sample containing 80 wt.% of XNBR was high compared to other samples by 2% and 10% respectively. The results of XNBR and NR vulcanizates under normal pressure ranging from 43 to 118 kPa were reported. Based on these results the relationship between normal load and dynamic co-efficient of friction has been proposed. It was also observed that sample containing 80 wt.% of XNBR exhibits lesser volume loss than compared to other samples. 相似文献

In this article, we present the thermal characteristics of the MOSFET with SELBOX structure. It is observed that the device shows a reduction in the self-heating effect and exhibits improved static and dynamic thermal behavior. A thermal model is developed to explain the thermal behavior of SELBOX structure. The model was evaluated using simulation implemented by Silvaco TCAD tools. Results show the effectiveness of the structure for the minimization of the self-heating effect (SHE) observed in SOI devices. Further, the results obtained from the simulation studies fit into the model showing the validity of the thermal circuit model. 相似文献
