Molybdenum disulfide with unique mesoporous structure was synthesized from tetraalkylammonium thiometallate precursors in situ decomposed in a batch reactor in the presence of dibenzothiophene (DBT). The precursors used in this study were tetraalkylammonium thiomolybdates with alkyl groups ranging from propyl to octyl. Molybdenum disulfide thus prepared presents high surface area (from 255 up to 329 m2/g), high content of carbon (C/Mo=2.7-4.0) and type IV nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms when decomposed from tetrahexyl-, tetraheptyl- or tetraoctylammonium thiomolybdates. The as-formed materials are poorly crystallized with a very weak intensity of the (0 0 2) peak of the 2HMoS2 structure. Such diffraction patterns are characteristic of exfoliated samples. Characterization by TEM shows a disordered layered structure with no long range order for the MoS2 catalysts. Therefore, the nature of the alkyl group in the precursor affects both the surface area and the pore size distribution of the final MoS2 catalysts with a progressive morphological modification up to a mesoporous organization.  相似文献

Fluorinated silicon-nitride films have been prepared from an Ar/SiF4/NH3 gas mixture by inductively coupled remote plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (IC-RPECVD) at different substrate temperatures, ranging from 150 to 300°C. All of the resulting deposited silicon-nitride films were free of Si-H bonds, showed high dielectric breakdown fields (≥8 MV cm?1), and had root mean square (rms) surface roughness values below 3 Å. The films’ refractive indices and the contents of O and F remain constant, but Si/N ratios drop from 5 to 2 and N-H bond concentrations decrease in the range (1.3–0.9) × 1022 cm?3 as the substrate temperature increases. The density of interface states (Dit) with c-Si was reduced from 2.4 × 1012 to 8 × 1011 eV?1 cm?2 at substrate temperatures ≥250°C.  相似文献

A total of 243 Escherichia coli strains isolated from patients with urinary tract infections (UTI) were investigated for the presence of pap, sfa and afa adhesin-encoding operons by using the polymerase chain reaction. It was found that 54%, 53% and 2% of the strains exhibited the pap, sfa and afa genotypes, respectively. Pap+ and/or sfa+ strains were more frequent in cases of acute pyelonephritis (94%) than in cases of cystitis (67%) (P < 0.001) and asymptomatic bacteriuria (57%) (P < 0.001). The pap and/or sfa operons were found in 90% of strains expressing mannose-resistant haemagglutination (MRHA) versus 37% of MRHA-negative strains (P < 0.001). The presence of pap and sfa operons was especially significant in strains belonging to MRHA types III (100%) (without P adhesins) and IVa (97%) (expressing the specific Gal-Gal binding typical of P adhesins). Both pap and sfa operons were closely associated with toxigenic E. coli producing alpha-haemolysin (Hly+) and/or the cytotoxic necrotizing factor type 1. There was an apparent correlation between the pap and sfa operons and the O serogroups of the strains. Thus, 93% of strains belonging to O1, O2, O4, O6, O7, O14, O15, O18, O22, O75 and O83 possessed pap and/or sfa operons, versus only 32% of strains belonging to other serogroups (P < 0.001). The results obtained in this study confirm the usefulness of our MRHA typing system for presumptive identification of pathogenic E. coli exhibiting different virulence factors. Thus, 85% of strains that possessed both pap and sfa adhesin-encoding operons showed MRHA types III or IVa previously associated with virulence of E. coli strains that cause UTI and bacteraemia.  相似文献

BAX, a heterodimer partner of BCL-2, is an apoptosis inducer. We aimed to characterize the distribution of the BAX protein in normal adult human tissues using immunohistochemistry (IHC). The monoclonal antibody anti-BAX 4F11 was used on paraffin sections: immunodetection of BCL-2 was performed simultaneously on serial sections. The specificity of BAX IHC staining was verified by Western blot analysis. IHC positivity was correlated with the detection of a specific 21 kDa band on Western blots. BAX immunostaining was mainly cytosolic and occasionally on the nuclear membrane. Amounts of BAX protein were high in liver, renal tubules, endocrine islets of the pancreas, gastric glands, cardiac muscle, epididymis, lymph node germinal centers, and neurons; intermediate in the colon, stomach, bronchus. Fallopian tube, salivary gland, breast, thymus, spleen, and testis; low or undetectable in the other tissues. BAX IHC positivity correlated with apoptotic features in neurons and germinal center lymphocytes. There was no strict correlation between the IHC profiles of BAX and BCL-2 expression, although a reciprocal pattern of staining was observed in lymph node and colon. This report shows the usefulness the monoclonal antibody anti-BAX 4F11 on paraffin sections and demonstrates that the human BAX tissular distribution is close to, but not similar, to the profile observed in the mouse. The widespread BAX expression suggests that BAX alone is insufficient to trigger cell death in human tissues. BAX may either modulate the role of other regulators of apoptosis or carry out functions unrelated to apoptosis.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To describe international variation in anesthesia care and monitoring during cataract surgery and to discuss its implications for cost and safety. METHODS: A standardized questionnaire was sent to random samples of ophthalmologists in the United States, Canada, and Barcelona, Spain, and to all ophthalmologists in Denmark. The survey was conducted in 1993 and 1994. Certified ophthalmologists who had performed 1 or more cataract extractions in the previous year were eligible for enrollment. RESULTS: The response rates were 62% in the United States (n=148), 67% in Canada (n=276), 70% in Barcelona (n=89), and 80% in Denmark (n=82). The anesthetic technique for cataract surgery varied significantly between sites (P<.001). Surgeons reported that retrobulbar blocks were used for 46% of the cataract extractions in the United States, 70% in Canada, 66% in Denmark, and 31% in Barcelona. In Barcelona, general anesthesia was used for 23% of the cataract extractions; it was used for less than 3% of the extractions at the other 3 sites. Peribulbar blocks or topical anesthesia was used for the remaining extractions. In the United States, Canada, and Barcelona, surgeons reported that vital functions were monitored during more than 97% of the extractions and anesthesia surveillance was used during more than 78% of the extractions. In Denmark, ophthalmologists reported that vital functions were monitored and anesthesia surveillance was used for 1% of the cataract extractions (P<.001). CONCLUSIONS: Substantial international variation in anesthesia care and monitoring during cataract surgery was observed. The findings suggest a need for further research to determine whether less intensive monitoring is cost-effective.  相似文献
