In this paper, we analyze the tradeoff between outage probability (OP) and intercept probability (IP) for a multi‐hop relaying scheme in cognitive radio (CR) networks. In the proposed protocol, a multi‐antenna primary transmitter (PT) communicates with a multi‐antenna primary receiver (PR), using transmit antenna selection (TAS) / selection combining (SC) technique, while a secondary source attempts to transmit its data to a secondary destination via a multi‐hop approach in presence of a secondary eavesdropper. The secondary transmitters such as source and relays have to adjust their transmit power to satisfy total interference constraint given by PR. We consider an asymmetric fading channel model, where the secondary channels are Rician fading, while the remaining ones experience the Rayleigh fading. Moreover, an optimal interference allocation method is proposed to minimize OP of the primary network. For the secondary network, we derive exact expressions of end‐to‐end OP and IP which are verified by Monte Carlo simulations. 相似文献

We propose a new cross-layer design employing the predictability of Rayleigh channels to improve the performance of ad hoc networks. In addition, we propose a Markov model for Rayleigh channels and an innovative Markov model for IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function. By combining these two models, we derive the theoretical expressions for network throughput, packet processing rate, packet loss probability, and average packet delay under Rayleigh channels. The simulation of the proposed cross-layer design is also carried out. It is shown that the new approach improves the network throughput, reduces unnecessary packet transmissions and therefore reduces packets lost. We also show that there is a close match between the analytical and the simulation results which confirms the validity of the analytical models. 相似文献

We present the design and development of an ultra-violet (UV) LIGA (a German acronym for electroplating, lithography and molding) micromachining process on silicon substrates at microwave/millimeter wave frequencies. The process employs an ultra-thick negative photoresist SU-8 that can be spin-coated and processed using conventional lithography techniques. Using this process, we have developed micromachined coplanar waveguide (CPW) interconnects on Si substrates. The conductor-backed micromachined CPW on Si (7.2 /spl Omega/-cm) achieves a measured attenuation of 0.18 dB/cm at 20 GHz. 相似文献

In some environments the components might not fail fully, but can lead to degradation and the efficiency of the system may decreases. However, the degraded components can be restored back through a proper repair mechanism. In this paper, we present a model to perform reliability analysis of k-out-of-n systems assuming that components are subjected to three states such as good, degraded, and catastrophic failure. We also present expressions for reliability and mean time to failure (MTTF) of k-out-of-n systems. In this letter, we present the design and fabrication of a novel ZnO-based film bulk acoustic wave resonator (FBAR) microwave devices. The novel FBAR devices employ a new-type of Bragg reflector with very thin chromium (Cr) layer formed between SiO2 and W films. The Cr layer seems to enhance the adhesion between SiO2 and W layers. The novel FBAR devices show good return losses (S11) and high Q-factors at the frequency range of 2.7-3.0 GHz. An increase in the energy density of lithium‐ion batteries has long been a competitive advantage for advanced wireless devices and long‐driving electric vehicles. Li‐rich layered oxide, xLi2MnO3?(1?x)LiMn1?y?zNiyCozO2, is a promising high‐capacity cathode material for high‐energy batteries, whose capacity increases by increasing charge voltage to above 4.6 V versus Li. Li‐rich layered oxide cathode however suffers from a rapid capacity fade during the high‐voltage cycling because of instable cathode–electrolyte interface, and the occurrence of metal dissolution, particle cracking, and structural degradation, particularly, at elevated temperatures. Herein, this study reports the development of fluorinated polyimide as a novel high‐voltage binder, which mitigates the cathode degradation problems through superior binding ability to conventional polyvinylidenefluoride binder and the formation of robust surface structure at the cathode. A full‐cell consisting of fluorinated polyimide binder‐assisted Li‐rich layered oxide cathode and conventional electrolyte without any electrolyte additive exhibits significantly improved capacity retention to 89% at the 100th cycle and discharge capacity to 223–198 mA h g?1 even under the harsh condition of 55 °C and high charge voltage of 4.7 V, in contrast to a rapid performance fade of the cathode coated with polyvinylidenefluoride binder. 相似文献

A three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system with a circular equilibrium is investigated in this paper. Some dynamical properties and behaviors of this system are described in terms of equilibria, eigenvalue structures, bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponents, time series and phase portraits. For specific parameters, the system displays periodic and chaotic attractors. The physical existence of the chaotic behavior found in the proposed system is verified by using the Orcad-PSpice software and experimental verification. A good qualitative agreement is shown between the experimental results, PSpice and numerical simulations. Furthermore, the commensurate fractional-order version of the system with a circular equilibrium is numerically studied. It is found that chaos exists in this system with order less than three. By tuning the commensurate fractional order, the system with a circular equilibrium displays chaotic and periodic attractors, respectively. Finally, chaos synchronization of identical fractional-order chaotic systems with a circular equilibrium is achieved by using the unidirectional linear error feedback coupling. It is shown that the fractional-order chaotic system can achieve synchronization for appropriate coupling strength. 相似文献
