A study is conducted with the aim of developing meso-scale voxel-based model for evaluating the compressive behaviors of warp-reinforced 2.5D woven composites. The real microstructure of warp-reinforced 2.5D woven composites is established. For the validation of this model, a series of axial (warp direction) and transverse (weft direction) compressive tests are conducted. The results show that under axial and transverse compressive loading, the calculated max stress and the final damage morphology agree well with the experimental results. Moreover, it is found that the axial compressive strength is mainly dependent on the high-crimp blinder warp, while the transverse compressive strength is significantly influenced by the warp/weft interlaced regions. It is expected that such a numerical investigation will provide useful information for understanding the strength and failure characteristic of 2.5D woven composites.  相似文献

本文提出一种用“整体浇注法”制做三维牙——颌骨光弹性模型的新方法,即用价格便宜的石膏做阴模,先制出与真实牙几何相似的牙光弹性模型和模拟牙周膜的乳胶套,将它们粘接好,然后将其放入颌骨石膏阴模的适当位置,浇入环氧树脂混合液,用“二次固化法”进行固化,即可制成三维牙——颌骨整体光弹性模型。此法能保证模型与实物的严格几何相似和牙周的边界条件相似,使实验精度大大提高且工艺简单、成本低。  相似文献

We investigated the effect of substrate-induced strain on the metal-insulator transition (MIT) in single-crystalline VO(2) nanobeams. A simple nanobeam-substrate adhesion leads to uniaxial strain along the nanobeam length because of the nanobeam's unique morphology. The strain changes the relative stability of the metal (M) and insulator (I) phases and leads to spontaneous formation of periodic, alternating M-I domain patterns during the MIT. The spatial periodicity of the M-I domains can be modified by changing the nanobeam thickness and the Young's modulus of the substrate.  相似文献

In this article, an evolutionary algorithm for multiobjective optimization problems in a dynamic environment is studied. In particular, we focus on decremental multiobjective optimization problems, where some objectives may be deleted during evolution—for such a process we call it objective decrement. It is shown that the Pareto‐optimal set after objective decrement is actually a subset of the Pareto‐optimal set before objective decrement. Based on this observation, the inheritance strategy is suggested. When objective decrement takes place, this strategy selects good chromosomes according to the decremented objective set from the solutions found before objective decrement, and then continues to optimize them via evolution for the decremented objective set. The experimental results showed that this strategy can help MOGAs achieve better performance than MOGAs without using the strategy, where the evolution is restarted when objective decrement occurs. Novel approaches based on windowed Fourier transform for demodulation of fringe patterns were previously presented [Appl. Opt. 43, 2695-2702 (2004)], where extraction of phase and phase derivatives from either phase-shifted fringe patterns or a single-carrier fringe pattern was the main focus. I show that the same methods can be applied to process a single closed-fringe pattern in either noise reduction or phase approximation, which adds to the versatility of the windowed Fourier-transform method for fringe pattern analysis.  相似文献

A self-actuated, flow-cycling polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reactor that takes advantage of buoyancy forces to continuously circulate reagents in a closed loop through various thermal zones has been constructed, tested, and modeled. The heating required for the PCR is advantageously used to induce fluid motion without the need for a pump. Flow velocities on the order of millimeters per second are readily attainable. In our preliminary prototype, we measured a cross-sectionally averaged velocity of 2.5 mm/s and a cycle time of 104 s. The flow velocity is nearly independent of the loop's length, making the device readily scalable. Successful amplifications of 700- and 305-bp fragments of Bacillus cereus genomic DNA have been demonstrated. Since the device does not require any moving parts, it is particularly suitable for miniature systems.  相似文献

New nanosmooth potassium hexatitanate films have been prepared on crystalline Si (111) and ITO glass substrates by sol–gel method using Ti(n-OC4H9)4 and CH3COOK as precursors. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) topographic images were analyzed to select the optimal preparation conditions for the films. It is shown that the films consist of flat particles with the ratio of diameter to height around 11. The root mean square (RMS) roughness of the films based on the measurement of an area of 2,000 nm × 2,000 nm in AFM images is 6.4 nm. The crystal growth process of potassium hexatitanate film was characterized by XRD, Raman spectra, and TEM. The results showed that the crystal growth of potassium hexatitanate nanofilm is a confined growth mechanism. Electrochemical measurements demonstrated that the photocurrent of potassium hexatitanate film electrode is more stable than that of TiO2 film electrode.  相似文献
