Graphite is a bulk-layered material that can be separated into sheets which exhibit folds and pleat-like structures. Graphene sheets are easily obtained via an exfoliation process using graphite in organic solvent. Spin-coated graphene:poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) blend films are characterized by absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy measurements. Doping of 2.5% graphene into P3HT induces better light absorption and photoluminescence quenching in the blend film. This finding indicates that graphene is a potential alternative material in various applications such as an acceptor material in organic solar cells.  相似文献

Effect of phosphoric acid on the performance of Pb‐1.7%Sb grid of lead‐acid cell is studied in 5 M H2SO4 by cyclic galvanostatic polarization and impedance spectroscopy. An increase in capacitance to a maximum is recorded during the initial stages of the electro‐reduction of PbO2 into Pb(II) compounds and attributed to concurrent compositional and dimensional changes. These changes include removal of O2 bubbles, insertion of large amounts of H2SO4 and H2O. Efficiency of PbO2 formation decreases, while its rate of self‐discharge increases with increasing the charging current and in the presence of H3PO4. The charge capacity increases with increasing the discharging current due to the decrease in the self‐discharge. The charge capacity is lower in the presence of H3PO4. On increasing the cycle number, the corrodibility of the grid increases, because more layers of the surface Pb are involved in the self‐discharge. H3PO4 significantly retards the effect of cycle number.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To analyze the likelihood of perioperative transfusion using the data of the abstracted patient discharge records. MATERIAL AND METHODS: It was studied the data of the records of the pediatric patients in whom were done surgical procedures for 1996. The abstracted patient discharge records are codified according the ICD-9-CM codes. RESULTS: 1,166 pediatric patients were operated, of whom were transfused 25 (2.1%). The transfusion rate was higher in patients less than 3 years old, who were operated with three o more surgical procedures simultaneously, who were admitted newly after the admittance here studied, and patients operated of spine, dorsolumbar spine, pharynx, thorax and mediastinum, central nervous system, colon, vessels and hip. CONCLUSIONS: Given the variability of the transfusion rate, to know it will allow a better planning of the surgical transfusions, the policy of the hospital blood bank and to increase the information to patient about the risk of the elective surgery.  相似文献

Analysis of Hibiscus sabdariffa seed oil from different seed collections (or cultivars), representing different growing areas, showed differences in the fatty acid pattern, especially with respect to linoleic (30.1-37.45%) and epoxyoleic (trace to 5.3%). The results showed different values from those previously reported for the cyclopropenoid fatty acid, found to be malvalic acid (0.4-2.0%), responsible for the positive Halphen response of the oil. It is now also established that the oil contains dihydrosterculic acid (1.0-1.6%) which has been reported previously in other species of the genus Hibiscus. The results of the rest of fatty acids showed ranges for myristic 0.2-0.5%, palmitic 17.4-22.6%, stearic 3.9-5.2% and oleic acid 34.6-39.8%.  相似文献

The hardness of Al–5wt%Zn (alloy A) and Al–5wt%Zn–0.25wt%In (alloy B) was measured at room temperature for samples heat treated in the range 300–453 K and dwell times in the range 30–300 s under 50 gm load. Softening was observed for all the samples and the hardness decreased with increasing temperature and/or dwell time. Hardness drop was larger for alloy (B), which in general showed higher hardness than alloy (A). The stress exponent n increased with increasing temperature and showed high values falling in the power law breakdown region. The parameters deduced from the analysis of X-rays data and micrographs were found to be consistant with the calculated mechanical data.  相似文献

In this paper, we address the problem of clustering in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) using Quality of Service Optimized Link State Routing (QoS-OLSR) protocol. Several clustering algorithms have been proposed for VANET and MANET. However, the mobility-based algorithms ignore the Quality of Service requirements that are important for VANET safety, emergency, and multimedia services while the QoS-based algorithms ignore the high speed mobility constraints since they are dedicated for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs). Our solution is a new QoS-based clustering algorithm that considers a tradeoff between QoS requirements and high speed mobility constraints. The goal is to form stable clusters and maintain the stability during communications and link failures while satisfying the Quality of Service requirements. This is achieved by: (1) considering the high mobility metrics while computing the QoS, (2) using Ant Colony Optimization for MPRs selection, and (3) using MPR recovery algorithm able to select alternatives and keep the network connected in case of link failures. Performance analysis and simulation results show that the proposed model can maintain the network stability, reduce the end-to-end delay, increase the packet delivery ratio, and reduce the communications overhead.  相似文献

Foamy low‐density polyethylene/plasticized starch (LDPE/PLST) blends at different compositions were produced in the presence of azodicarbonamide (ACA) compound as foaming agent. The LDPE/PLST blends before and after electron beam irradiation were investigated in terms of mechanical properties, bulk density, and structure morphology. Moreover, the biodegradability of these materials was evaluated by the soil burial test for 2 months, in which the buried sheets were also examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the increase of PLST content from 24 to 30% was accompanied by a decrease in the yield and break stresses of 10 and 20% for the unirradiated blends without the foaming agent, respectively. Further decrease in these mechanical parameters was observed after the foaming process. The bulk density, void fraction, cell size measurements as well as the examination by SEM illustrate clearly the cell growth of the foam structure. The soil burial test and SEM micrographs indicate the growth of microorganisms overall the blend sheets and that the blend was completely damaged after two months of burying. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The production of crude palm oil and palm kernel is a complex problem due to the influence of processing variables and environmental factors. These processing variables influence the amount of crude palm oil and palm kernel losses during processing. Instead of mathematical model, fuzzy logic approach provides a simpler and easier mechanism to describe the relationships between the processing variables and the amount of crude palm oil and palm kernel losses. In this study, four fuzzy expert system models were developed for each palm oil processing station. An approximation of centre of gravity method for defuzzification is also proposed to enable the development of the model using Microsoft®Excel. For comparison purpose, the models were also developed using MATLAB®. Results obtained from the Excel model are found to be very close to the results from MATLAB.  相似文献

The influence of HAF carbon black and BaTiO3 ceramic powder contents in SBR vulcanizates on the dielectric constant (ε′) at different frequencies and at fixed temperature of 303 K is studied well in this article. The temperature dependence of the ac conductivity (σac) was also studied. ε′ appreciably decreases as frequency increased for both filled and unfilled SBR vulcanizates. At each frequency, ε′ gradually decreased with BaTiO3 loading, but its change at any fixed frequency with BaTiO3 filler loading is not uniform. For HAF group ε′ (at loading ≥ 40 phr), drops rapidly with frequency. Meanwhile, it increased appreciably beyond a certain HAF filler loading (≈ 20 phr). Experimental values of the dielectric constant of both BaTiO3 and HAF contents were compared with those calculated by using Tsangaris, Clausius and Bruggman models. Tsangaris model with simple modifications was applied and a fairly good agreement was obtained. The HAF particles or aggregates was found to take the shape of oblate ellipsoids with the minor axes parallel to the applied frequency as detected from the decreasing behavior of the depolarizing factor (Y) with HAF contents. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. One of the important aspects in achieving better performance for transient stability assessment (TSA) of power systems employing computational intelligence (CI) techniques is by incorporating feature reduction techniques. For small power system the number of features may be small but when larger systems are considered the number of features increased as the size of the systems increases. Apart from employing faster CI techniques to achieve faster and accurate TSA of power system, feature reduction techniques are needed in reducing the input features while preserving the needed information so as to make faster training of the CI technique. This paper presents feature reductions techniques used, namely correlation analysis and principle component analysis, in reducing number of input features presented to two CI techniques for TSA, namely probabilistic neural network (PNN) and least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM). The proposed feature reduction techniques are implemented and tested on the IEEE 39-bus test system and 87-bus Malaysia’s power system. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the performance of the feature reduction techniques and its effects on the accuracies and time taken for training the two CI techniques.  相似文献
