In this paper, a strategy for multi-objective optimization based upon the behavior of a particle swarm with rotational and linear motion is presented. The strategy for multi-objective optimization is based upon the emulation of the linear and circular movements of a swarm (flock). Thus emerges the physical basis for the cognitive model, which in conjunction with exploration–exploitation results in the proposal of a cognitive algorithm, which is tested through several multi-objective optimization functions. The algorithm proposed is compared with standard particle swarm optimization multi-objective via statistical analysis.  相似文献

This paper compares the results of two approaches of instrumented indentation for characterization of mechanical properties of HVOF coatings. Three types of HVOF sprayed coatings (Cr3C2-NiCr, WC-Co, (Ti, Mo)(C,N)-NiCo) were investigated by the means of isolated nanoindentation and grid indentation methods. The results of the isolated indentation revealed hardness and elastic modulus of the individual phases in very good agreement with the corresponding bulk material. The grid indentation method, based on statistical evaluation of a large number of indentations, was influenced by the carbide-matrix interface, which gave rise to a third peak apart from the two peaks corresponding to the carbides and metallic matrix. As a consequence, the bimodal Gaussian fit was insufficient and a trimodal fit had to be used. The results extracted from low load grid nanoindentations were quite close to the results of isolated indentations whereas higher load grid nanoindentation revealed overall properties of the coating.  相似文献

Active starch films with glycerol and potassium sorbate were obtained by casting. Native and acetylated corn starches, as well as the mixture of them in equal proportions were used and filmogenic suspensions with pH 4.5 were also prepared. Sorbate concentration decreased during film storage due to its oxidative degradation. Active films resulted more yellow and less transparent than films without sorbate. The minimum inhibitory concentration of sorbate resulted 0.3%, regardless of the starch type and the formulation pH. The use of antimicrobial package was more effective to prevent microbial growth on food surfaces than the use of conventional methods. Additive kinetic release was neither affected by the starch type nor by the formulation pH. Sorbate diffusion process was mathematically modeled satisfactorily. Active films were able to inhibit Candida spp., Penicillium spp., S. aureus and Salmonella spp. growth. Active films extended 21% the shelf life of refrigerated cheese, regardless of the formulation pH.  相似文献

Possible adulteration of canned products containing spirit vinegar pickle by adding synthetic acetic acid is a significant problem of the food industry. Isotope analyses, which determine botanical origin of acetic acid and also can detect synthetic acid, were applied to detect undeclared addition of synthetic acetic acid to canned products. The aim of the study was to improve the extraction technique for the SNIF-NMR (2H/1H; site-specific natural isotopic fractionation-nuclear magnetic resonance) and IRMS (13C/12C; isotope ratio mass spectrometry) isotope methods and for an atypical matrix and to determine isotope ratios in canned vegetables pickle to prove their adulteration or authenticity. The following set of canned products was analysed: pickled cucumbers (n = 16) and one vinegar pickle purchased in the Czech market and six model (cucumber) pickles. The determined ratios of 2H/1H and 13C/12C for the pickled cucumbers proved to be authentic ranged from 89.4 to 107.0 ppm and from ?28.7 to ?15.6 ‰, respectively; for the synthetic acetic acids diluted with water they ranged from 114.2 to 129.0 ppm and from ?44.9 to ?33.4 ‰, respectively. Isotope analyses were confirmed as a reliable tool for assessing authenticity of canned products. The method enables detection of synthetic acetic acid addition into vinegars and canned vegetables containing vinegar pickle up from 20 % (of total acidity).  相似文献

A multiscale approach spanning from the segmental (subnanometer) up to micrometer level was applied for detailed study of the self‐assembly of aliphatic block polyurethane (PU) elastomers. To understand the principles of the self‐organization of hard and soft segments in the complex multi‐component systems, several two‐component model PU samples, that is, the products of 1,6‐diisocyanatohexane (HDI) with three diols differing in the length and constitution were also prepared, characterized, and investigated: (i) polycarbonate‐based macrodiol (MD), (ii) biodegradable oligomeric diol (DL‐L; product of butane‐1,4‐diol and D,L‐lactide), and (iii) butane‐1,4‐diol (BD). The study (particularly 13C‐1H PILGRIM NMR spectra) reveals complex internal organization and interesting (application appealing) behavior of multi‐component PUs. Hard segments (HDI+BD products) feature self‐assembled and significantly folded chain conformations with interdomain spacing 15–22 nm (small‐angle X‐ray scattering analysis). The small domains are hierarchically assembled in various structural formations of µm size (spherulites) depending on PU composition, as detected by transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A 22 factorial design (two factors at two levels, in triplicate) was performed to investigate the influence of factors A (time of treatment, 15 and 30 days) and B (chia oil content in a supplemented diet, at 2.1 and 4.2 %) in three responses of interest referring to: (a) the incorporation of alpha‐linolenic acid (LNA) in lipids of Nile tilapia fillet; (b) the enhancement of n‐3 fatty acids; and (c) the decrease in the omega‐6/omega3 (n‐6/n‐3) ratio in fish. Factors A and B were significant in the three regression models obtained and the interaction AB was a significant contributor to the LNA and n‐6/n‐3 ratio. Analysis of variance suggested three significant and predictive mathematical models. Response surfaces analyses from designs indicated higher LNA and n‐3 contents and a lower n‐6/n‐3 ratio using both factors A and B in the higher levels (30 days of treatment and 4.2 % of chia oil in the diet for fish) chosen for this study.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional virtual representations of consumer products are expected to gain relevance in e‐commerce applications as low cost virtual reality headsets arrive on the market in the next years. However, there are a limited number of studies related to the perceptual evaluation of virtual products and their packaging where virtual and real (photographic) representations are compared. As part of an extensive exploration toward understanding product perception in virtual stores, this work presents a study with 38 participants in which consumer perceptions of a photographic and a virtual representation of a beer bottle are examined. Perceptual evaluation is assessed using two metrics: first, an evaluation was performed by applying a bipolar semantic scale based on four axes: novelty, resolution, style and emotion. Second, eye‐tracking metrics were employed to analyse participant gaze behaviour during the visualization of stimuli. Virtual bottles were modelled using a medium polygonal load (5 K polygons per bottle), and render quality was also medium to intentionally recreate the computing limitations of smartphone‐based virtual reality headsets. Results show that a medium render quality alters consumer perception and responses using semantic scales. Eye‐tracking analysis confirms that the orientation of the bottle and how it is presented also affect consumer perception. There are practical situations in which the quality of a process or product can be better characterized by a functional relationship between a response variable and one or more explanatory variables, which is called profile. Such profiles frequently can be represented adequately using linear or nonlinear models. While there are several studies in monitoring profiles, there are few studies to evaluate the capability of a process with profile quality characteristic; specifically, there is no method in the literature to analyze process capability characterized by nonlinear profiles. In this paper, we propose two methods to measure the capability of these processes, based on the concept of functional depth. These methods do not have distributional assumptions and extend to functional data the Process Capability Indexes proposed by Clements 1 to measure the capability of a process characterized by a random variable.
