Hybrid bubble memory devices have been proposed and operated with the memory density of 4 Mbit/cm2. In the hybrid bubble memory devices, minor loops are composed of ion-implanted tracks with 4-µm period, and major lines and functional parts including block-replicate and swap gates are composed of Permalloy tracks with a longer period of 12 µm. Passive junctions between ion-implanted and Permalloy tracks have been developed, introducing the tapered ion-implantation technique. Improving the characteristics of the functional parts composed of Permalloy tracks, the hybrid bubble memory devices with block-replicate and swap gates have been operated, and the feasibility of the devices has been confirmed. In addition, the possibility of higher memory density has been shown.  相似文献

High-power GaInAs strained quantum well lasers with an emission wavelength of 0.98 mu m, suitable for Er/sup 3+/-doped fibre amplifier pumping, have been fabricated. A threshold current of 15 mA and a peak output power as high as 85 mW have been obtained for the ridge waveguide structure with AR/HR facet coating. A laser with a reverse-V-shape layer exhibits a circular beam spot and low threshold current. The beam aspect ratio of the reverse-V-shape laser is clarified to be insensitive to reverse-V-shape width. The reverse-V-shape layer consists of a strained active layer and a passive guide layer, which leads to a low threshold current. Measured noise characteristics of Er3+-doped optical fiber amplifiers pumped by 0.98- and 1.48-μm laser diodes (LDs) are reported. The noise figures estimated from the beat noise between signal and spontaneous emission are 3.2 dB for pumping by 0.98-μm LD and 4.1 dB for pumping by 1.48-μm LD. The beat noise between spontaneous emission components and the spontaneous shot noise for the 0.98-μm pumping are lower than those for the 1.48-μm pumping  相似文献

Focusing on the origin of the heavy metal, this study aims to build an imputed method to estimate the heavy metal content in river water by making a distinction between the heavy metal of natural origins and that caused by human activities. Supported by GIS, Kosaka watershed within the Hokuroku basin was divided into several sub-watershed polygons and the outflows of water and Cu were calculated for each polygon. Compared with the natural origin, the dominant Cu emissions affected the river water more significantly in local. Based on the mass balance closure, the heavy metal content of Cu in the Kosaka River was estimated by the conflux accumulation of tributaries and mine drainages. The estimated Cu concentrations were checked by comparing with the actually measured values at monitoring points along the Kosaka River and the results are coincidence with each other in general. It is revealed that the mainstream water quality could be estimated by seizing the water quality of upstream tributaries and human drainages.  相似文献

Adsorption properties of two types of dimethylpolysiloxane backbone derivatives, perfluoroalkyl polyoxyethylenated dimethylpolysiloxane (FPD) and polyoxyethylenated dimethylpolysiloxane (PD), onto keratin surfaces were investigated. Both polymers are amphiphilic, since they possess hydrophilic polyoxyethylene groups. FPD contains a perfluoroalkyl group that provides both water-and oil-repellent properties, whereas PD lacks these groups. Adsorption properties of these polymers onto keratin surfaces are considered a good index to evaluate these compounds as nonionics used in hair-coating agents, since keratin is a major component of hair. FPD was more likely to be adsorbed and less likely to be eliminated from the keratin surface than PD. Once FPD had been adsorbed onto the keratin surface, it was very slowly washed from the surface when it was immersed in stationary water, whereas PD polymers were quickly washed from the keratin surface. Even in running water, rapid elimination of FPD was not observed. The strong resistance to loss of FPD after washing with a large quantity of water may be due to the water-repellent nature of the perfluoroalkyl groups. As a comparison, FPD adsorption onto a glass surface was also investigated. The affinity to the glass surface was found to be less than to the keratin surface.  相似文献

The human DNAJB3 gene encodes a DNAJ (Heat shock protein 40; Hsp40) homolog, subfamily B, member 3 chaperone protein (DNAJB3), which can be down-regulated in disease conditions, as observed in decreased expression of DNAJB3 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) of obese patients. Recently, humanized UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) 1 mice (hUGT1 mice) were developed, in which the introduced human UGT1 gene contained a gene encoding human DNAJB3. In the present study, we analyzed the expression of human DNAJB3 mRNA in hUGT1 mice. Among the examined tissues, the testis had the highest expression of human DNAJB3 mRNA, while the lowest expression was observed in the liver. We found that the pattern of tissue-specific expression of mouse Dnajb3 in hUGT1 mice was very similar to that of human DNAJB3. We further demonstrated that the expression of human DNAJB3 in the liver was significantly reduced in high-fat-diet-fed hUGT1 mice compared to the expression level in the control mice, indicating that the expression of human DNAJB3 in hUGT1 mice could be similarly regulated in disease conditions such as obesity. Humanized UGT1 mice might therefore be useful to investigate the physiological role of human DNAJB3 in vivo.  相似文献

We have proposed a new recovery system of hexavalent chromium Cr(VI) that is of great toxicity utilizing condensed-tannin gels derived from a natural polymer with many polyhydroxyphenyl groups. The adsorption mechanism of Cr(VI) to the tannin molecules was clarified. The adsorption mechanism consists of four reaction steps; the esterification of chromate with tannin molecules, the reduction of Cr(VI) to trivalent chromium Cr(III), the formation of carboxyl group by the oxidation of tannin molecules and the ion exchange of the reduced Cr(III) with the carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. It was found in this recovery system that a large amount of proton was consumed accompanied with the reduction of Cr(VI) so that the acidic solution containing Cr(VI) was transferred automatically to neutral one by choosing an appropriate initial pH. The carboxyl group which was created by the oxidation of tannin molecules parallel to the reduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) contributed to an increase in the ion-exchange sites of the reduced Cr(III). The maximum adsorption capacity of Cr(VI) reached 287 mg Cr/g dry tannin gel under the conditions of 0.77 water content of tannin gel and the initial pH = 2. This adsorption capacity was five to ten times higher than that obtained by the ion exchange between ordinary Cr(III) and tannin molecules for the tannin gels prepared under similar conditions. The system proposed here will provide an important information on a zero-emission-oriented process because it has such advantages as higher adsorption capacity of chromium and lower volume of secondary wastes compared with conventional process.  相似文献

R 22-DEGDME is chosen as the prime working fluid pair for residential gas-fired absorption heat pumps.The vapour pressures and the heat capacities of mixtures are measured for various concentrations and temperatures and are correlated by a Rankine equation and a polynomial, respectively. The heats of mixing are measured at 10°C, and are correlated by a Redlich-Kister type polynomial.Based on these data, the pressure-temperature-concentration diagram and the enthalpy-concentration diagram are drawn, which make analysis of the absorption cycles possible.  相似文献
