In this paper, the results of the thermo-elastic analysis performed on the stereo channel of the imaging system Integrated Observatory System for the BepiColombo European Space Agency mission to Mercury are presented. The aim of the work is to determine the effects of ambient parameter variations on the equipment performance; the optical performance is changing during the mission lifetime primarily because of the optics misalignments and deformations induced by temperature variations. The camera optics and their mountings are modeled and processed by a thermo-mechanical finite element model (FEM) program, which reproduces the expected optics and structure thermo-elastic deformations in the instrument foreseen operative temperature range, i.e., between -20 °C and 30 °C. The FEM outputs are elaborated using a MATLAB optimization routine: an algorithm based on nonlinear least square data fitting is adopted to determine the surface equation (plane, spherical, nth polynomial) which best fits the deformed optical surfaces. The obtained surfaces are then directly imported into a ZEMAX code for sequential ray-tracing analysis. Variations of the optical spot diagrams, modulation transfer function curves, and ensquared energy are then computed. The overall analysis shows that the preferred solution for mounting the optical elements is adopting the kinematic constraints instead of using the classical glue solution.  相似文献

Synchrotron radiation microtomography was used as a nondestructive imaging technique to investigate the microstructural properties of green and roasted coffee beans. After image acquisition, 2D images have been reconstructed and 3D images of the beans have been then obtained. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the images allow to fully characterize the morphological and structural features of the coffee beans. Roasting causes meaningful changes in the microstructure of the coffee bean tissue with the development in the entire bean of a porous structure with pores of different shape and size depending on the zone of the bean and cracks occurring mainly in the more external regions and between parenchyma and mucilage. The highly contrasted X-ray images have been analyzed to determine the pore size and its distribution in different regions of the coffee beans by selecting Volume-of-Interest (VoI). The use of phase-contrast hard X-rays imaging techniques represents an interesting tool of investigation of the internal structure, morphology, as well as the quality of whole coffee beans. Moreover, the high potentiality of 3D X-ray imaging and the approach used in this study could be applied in understanding the effects of roasting process conditions on the evolution of microstructural properties of the bean that may affect the stability as well the grinding and brewing performances. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Synchrotron radiation microtomography is an elegant nondestructive imaging technique to investigate the microstructural properties of porous cellular matrices like the green and roasted coffee beans. The quantitative analysis of the resulting 2D and 3D images allows a more comprehensive and objective characterization of the sample under investigation as a whole or of extracted Volumes-of-Interest in the bean. This imaging technique could have a major role in understanding the effects of roasting process conditions on the microstructural properties of the bean.  相似文献

A method for the determination of six phthalate esters in wine samples has been developed. The phthalates were extracted from wine samples with an optimised solid-phase extraction method on C18 column and quantification was achieved via gas chromatography coupled with a mass spectrometer. The method was linear between 0.015 and 5.000 μg mL−1 for DMP, DEP and DEHP and between 0.018 and 5.000 μg mL−1 for iBP, DBP and BBP. The LOQs of DMP, DEP and DEH were 0.024 μg mL−1 while those of iBP, DBP and BBP were 0.029 μg mL−1. The intra-day method repeatability was between 10% and 15% RSD, whereas the inter-day method repeatability was between 13% and 21% RSD. A survey was performed on white and red wines (n = 62) from the market, winemakers and an experimental pilot plant. All the analysed samples were phthalate contaminated. Commercial wine showed higher detection frequency and level of total phthalate, DBP and BBP than those produced in a pilot plant. iBP and DEHP concentrations were similar in all the groups of samples. iBP concentration was higher in red wines than in white ones.  相似文献

We describe a system of two groups of multiwire proportional chambers and its special purpose interface used in the Single Arm Spectrometer (SAS) facility at Fermilab. The first set measures the coordinates of the fast particle going into the spectrometer arm with a space resolution down to +/-0.5 mm. The second set, close to the target, measures the multiplicity and angular distributions of charged particles coming from the interaction. The chambers of this set have three sensitive planes with wires at 120 degrees in the same gas volume to measure three coordinates for each physical point, two readout channels per wire to minimize the inefficiency due to the very high flux and insensitive regions at the center of the chambers where they are crossed by the beam.  相似文献

We report a patient who had refractory Hodgkin's disease and who received an autologous bone marrow transplantation and 8 months later developed abdominal pain associated with acute colonic dilation. The course of the patient was rapidly fatal due to a lobar pneumonia. Autopsy revealed signs of disseminated herpesvirus infection with marked hemorrhagic infarction of celiac sympathetic ganglia. This finding supports the hypothesis that denervation caused by virus reactivation and secondary hemorrhage is a main mechanism of acute colonic pseudoobstruction.  相似文献

In addition to many types of extra cellular matrix (ECM) in vivo, cells are stimulated by many types of vitamins, hormones, growth factors, etc. In this paper the effects of L-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (Asc-2P) and dexamethasone (Dex) on proliferation and differentiation of human periodontal ligament fibroblast (HPLF) using polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) as a matrix in vitro will be discussed. The PEC was composed of chitosan as a polycation, with carboxymethyl (CPEC) or sulfated chitin (SPEC). Asc-2P (0.2 mM) inhibited the growth of HPLF on CPEC, but promoted the growth on SPEC. Moreover, the aggregation of HPLF on CPEC was inhibited by Asc-2P, but that on SPEC was induced in the presence of Asc-2P and Dex. Although Asc-2P reduced an increase in alkaline phosphatase (ALPase) activity of HPLF on CPEC as well, it induced a twofold increase in ALPase activities on SPEC and TCD. Furthermore, in the medium containing Asc-2P and 100 mM of Dex, cell growth was inhibited, but ALPase activity was promoted on both SPEC and TCD to form many aggregates on SPEC. ALPase activity increased by twofold over that of HPLF cultured in the medium containing only Asc-2P. Therefore, it is suggested that the cell functions of HPLF are controlled by the combination of PEC and additives.  相似文献

High-speed ground transport, ship propulsion, electrical power production, high sensitivity measurements, surgery, fusion reactors, mineral enrichment and pollution control are some of the applications where the use of commercial superconducting materials is now under research.It is now clear that the economical and technical feasibility of some of the developments listed above will only be made possible by the use of superconducting materials which will help to overcome the intrinsic limitations of normally employed techniques.This paper gives data on commercial materials presently available and those which are at the development stage, as well as major applications currently under research. Emphasis is made on the technological problems related to the reliable use of near zero Kelvin temperatures.Some data are also given on large scale undertakings in various nations, with indications of the more mature applications.  相似文献

Croton lechleri essential oil has been obtained by steam distillation of fresh stem bark from Amazonian Ecuador adult plants (yield: 0.61 ml/kg [0.061%]; density: 1.01 g/ml), and then chemically characterised by GC (Gas Chromatography) and GC–MS (gas chromatography–mass spectrometry). Seventy-four chemicals were detected and identified; the most abundant in descending order, were the sesquiterpenes sesquicineole (17.29%), α-calacorene (11.29%), 1,10-di-epi-cubenol (4.75%), β-calacorene (4.34%) and epi-cedrol (4.09%). Monoterpenes checked with a relative peak area higher than 2.0% were α-pinene (2.01%), p-cymene (2.61%), limonene (4.20%) and borneol (2.67%). The structure of the main chemicals were confirmed by GC–MS and 1H NMR analyses. Spectrophotometric 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and DPPH-(high performance) thin layer chromatography (DPPH-(HP)TLC) bioautographic assays showed a lower radical scavenging capacity (IC50) with respect to commercial thyme essential oil and BHA (butylated hydroxyl anisole), pointing out, however, that the C. lechleri essential oil fraction, characterised by α-calacorene, β-calacorene and δ-cadalene, was the most involved in the bioactivity. Similar results were obtained with β-carotene bleaching assay, where the IC50 values were 0.291 ± 0.024 mg/ml for C. lechleri essential oil, 0.164 ± 0.013 and 1.34 × 10−4 ± 10−5 mg/ml for thyme essential oil and BHA, respectively. (HP)TLC-bioautographic assay performed with Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria revealed a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values comprised between 0.10 mg/ml (Escherichia coli) and 10.10 mg/ml (for e.g. Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and the fraction mainly characterised by sesquicineole (97.38%) as the most involved in antibacterial capacity. Ames test employing Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TA100 with and without a metabolic activation mixture (S9 mix) demonstrated the absence of mutagenicity of the C. lechleri essential oil between a concentration range of 10−2 and 100 mg/plate. The same results were achieved by Saccharomyces cerevisiae D7 strain assay. An interesting mutagen-protective efficacy was evidenced by a 30% and 33% revertants reduction of TA98 strain treated with 2-aminoanthracene and nitrofluorene (2 μg/plate), suggesting, above all, the possibility to employ C. lechleri essential oil as a new flavouring protective ingredient for foods or dietary supplements against potential mutagens formed during cooking and/or processing in general.  相似文献
