The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of freezing and heat treatments at different temperatures on the stability of the main whey proteins of donkey milk in comparison with those obtained from colostrum and raw milk. Samples subjected to heat treatment at 85 °C showed greater loss of stability, with levels decreasing by 60% and 87% for lysozyme and β‐lactoglobulin, respectively. Lactoferrin completely disappeared at heat treatments higher than 65 °C. Colostrum contained the highest lactoferrin and β‐lactoglobulin concentrations, however, lysozyme was found to be present at similar concentrations in colostrum, raw, frozen and heat‐treated milk at temperatures lower than 85 °C.  相似文献

This study focuses on the compatibilization of poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) blends by using 1,4 phenylene diisocyanate (PDI) for the first time, as the compatibilizer. Because of the potential interactions of diisocyanates with ? OH/? COOH, they are useful for reactive processing of PLA/TPU blends in the melt processing. To have insight on the reactively compatibilized structure of PLA/TPU blends, phase morphologies are observed by means of scanning electron microscopy. The mechanical, thermal, and rheological responses of the blends are investigated. The observations are that the brittle behavior of PLA changes to ductile with the addition of TPUs. The addition of PDI improves the tensile properties of the blends. The compatibilization action of PDI is monitored with DMA and rheological experiments. Cross‐over in the G′ and G″ curves of compatibilized blends indicates the relaxation of branches formed in the presence of PDI. The present study aims to create a controlled release system through the preparation and characterization of hydrogels based on 2-hydroxyl ethyl methacrylate (HEMA). In order to investigate the influence of photo-initiators on the drug release behavior of the resulting hydrogels, three different photo-initiators [2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenyl-acetophenone] (Irgacure 651), 1-hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone (Irgacure 184) and 2-hydroxy-4′-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-methylpropiophenone (Irgacure 2959) were used. In addition, hydroxyapatite (HAp) was employed to modify HEMA hydrogels. The synthesis of hydrogels was confirmed by characterization through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (13C NMR) spectroscopy and digital microscope. The responsive behaviors were investigated by recording swelling ratios under different conditions. In vitro drug release studies were performed for donepezil hydrochloride-loaded hydrogels at pH 1.2, 6.8 and 7.4. The results indicated that hydrogels synthesized using Irgacure 2959 released the maximum amount of donepezil hydrochloride. Moreover, the release rate decreased in the presence of HAp.  相似文献

A series of aluminum doped zinc oxide thin films with different thickness (25–150 nm) were deposited on indium tin oxide coated polyethylene terephthalate substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering method at room temperature. The structural, optical and electrical properties of the films were investigated by X-ray Diffractometer, UV–Vis spectrometer and Hall Effect Measurement System. All the obtained films were polycrystalline with a hexagonal structure and a preferred orientation along [002] direction with the c-axis perpendicular to the substrate surface. The optical energy band gap (Eg) values of the films were found to be in the range from 3.36 to 3.26 eV, and their average optical transmissions were about 75 % in the visible region. The films had excellent electrical properties with the resistivities in the range from 2.78 × 10?5 to 2.03 × 10?4 Ω cm, carrier densities more than 3.35 × 1021 cm?3 and Hall mobilities between 5.77 and 11.13 cm2/V s.  相似文献

The effects of temperature, pH, and medium composition on lactic acid production by Lactobacillus casei were investigated. The highest lactic acid productivity values were obtained at 37 °C and pH 5.5. The productivity was 1.87 g dm?3 h?1 at 37 °C in shake flasks. In the fermenter, a productivity of 3.97 g dm?3 h?1 was obtained at pH 5.5. The most appropriate yeast extract concentration was 5.0 g dm?3. Whey yielded a higher productivity value than the analytical lactose and glucose. Initial whey lactose concentration did not affect lactic acid productivity. MnSO4 ·H2O was necessary for lactic acid production by L casei from whey. Product yields were approximately 0.93 g lactic acid g lactose?1. Copyright © 2004 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Wastewater treatment processes are of growing interest as a potential means to limit the dissemination of antibiotic resistance. This study examines the response of nine representative antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) encoding resistance to sulfonamide (sulI, sulII), erythromycin (erm(B), erm(F)), and tetracycline (tet(O), tet(W), tet(C), tet(G), tet(X)) to various laboratory-scale sludge digestion processes. The class I integron gene (intI1) was also monitored as an indicator of horizontal gene transfer potential and multiple antibiotic resistance. Mesophilic anaerobic digestion at both 10 and 20 day solids retention times (SRTs) significantly reduced sulI, suII, tet(C), tet(G), and tet(X) with longer SRT exhibiting a greater extent of removal; however, tet(W), erm(B) and erm(F) genes increased relative to the feed. Thermophilic anaerobic digesters operating at 47 °C, 52 °C, and 59 °C performed similarly to each other and provided more effective reduction of erm(B), erm(F), tet(O), and tet(W) compared to mesophilic digestion. However, thermophilic digestion resulted in similar or poorer removal of all other ARGs and intI1. Thermal hydrolysis pretreatment drastically reduced all ARGs, but they generally rebounded during subsequent anaerobic and aerobic digestion treatments. To gain insight into potential mechanisms driving ARG behavior in the digesters, the dominant bacterial communities were compared by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis. The overall results suggest that bacterial community composition of the sludge digestion process, as controlled by the physical operating characteristics, drives the distribution of ARGs present in the produced biosolids, more so than the influent ARG composition.  相似文献

Ergonomics has been playing an important role in assembly system design (ASD) that contains not only the main assembly line balancing problem but also the subassembly line balancing and assembly layout problem. The ergonomics in ASD has an impact both on productivity and on workers’ health, especially when frequent changes in the product mix occur. In this study, we propose a systematic approach in order to handle ASD, which consists of three subproblems, while considering ergonomic risk factors. The first two subproblems are solved simultaneously using the proposed rule‐based constructive search algorithm, where ergonomic risks are evaluated by OCRA method. Later, layout problem is solved under transportation constraints using local search methods with various neighborhood structures. To provide the applicability and evaluate the performance of the proposed systematic approach, a real‐life case study in a harness manufacturing company is solved and prototype productions are performed.  相似文献

Increasing population and life standards causes fossil fuel consumption to increase. Due to this increasing consumption, fossil fuels are being depleted rapidly. In addition to rapid exhaustion, another important problem associated with fossil fuels is that their consumption has major negative impacts on the environment. Therefore, many countries around the world have included renewable energy systems (RES) in their future energy plans so that they can produce reliable and environmentally friendly energy. Parallel to this trend, various RES have been identified and recently integrated into the current energy network of Turkey as well. However, it should be recognized that renewable energy resources are not fully environmentally safe. Different RES are associated with different environmental impacts. In planning the future energy development of a country, evaluation of renewable energy resources potentials together with their associated environmental impacts is critical. The aim of this study is to create a decision support system for site selection of wind turbines using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. Wind energy potential and environmental fitness/acceptability are used as decision criteria for the site selection process. Potential environmental impacts of wind generation are identified in accordance with Turkish legislations and previous studies; and represented as fuzzy objectives of the decision problem. Wind potential map of Turkey generated by General Directorate of Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development is used to identify economically feasible locations in terms of wind energy generation. A study area composed of Usak, Aydin, Denizli, Mugla, and Burdur provinces in Turkey is selected and divided into 250 m × 250 m grids. Each grid represents an alternative location for a wind turbine or group of wind turbines. Fuzzy environmental objectives such as “Acceptable in terms of noise level”, “Acceptable in terms of bird habitat”, “Acceptable in terms of safety and aesthetics” and “Safe in terms of natural reserves” associated with wind turbines are identified based on previous research and each of these objectives are represented by a fuzzy set. Individual satisfaction degree of each of these environmental objectives for each grid is calculated. Then these individual satisfactions are aggregated into an overall satisfaction degree using various aggregator operators such as “and”, “or”, and “order weighted averaging.” Thus, an overall satisfaction degree of all the environmental objectives is obtained for each grid in the study area. A map of environmental fitness is developed in GIS environment by using these overall satisfaction degrees. Then this map is utilized together with the wind potential map of Turkey to identify both potentially and environmentally feasible wind turbine locations within the study area.  相似文献
