A simple, one-pot, three-component, green synthesis of a wide range of propargylamines is reported by A3-coupling (aldehyde, alkyne and amine) via C–H activation of alkynes using [Zn(l-proline)2] as an efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst. High catalytic activity was achieved in comparatively low temperature under solvent-free conditions. Sustainable development includes low-energy buildings, which reduce energy consumption, green house gases emission, water usage, etc. The choice of subsurface wall at varying depths for construction of buildings has a direct impact on energy consumption and the environment. This paper includes in its scope all building structures in which a significant area is in direct contact with the earth, and excludes indirect earth contact. A two-dimensional simplified analytical Fourier boundary series was developed to study dynamic earth-contact heat transfer and humidity variation in building. It was used in conjunction with the whole-building energy simulation program developed in the TRNSYS environment. The predictions were compared with extensive experimental data measured from typical existing earth-contact buildings situated in the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campus. Heat transfer through earth-contact building structures was predicted to decrease with increasing soil contact. The results obtained from the detailed model showed that earth-contact structures form excellent passive technology that can be exploited for energy conservation. This work is part of an effort to develop zero energy building models in India. The presented model can be easily incorporated into indirect earth-contact structures in order to describe the impact of cooling tubes, earth-air tunnels or heat pumps in indoor environment. 相似文献

This paper presents a systematic study of electric field assisted growth of self-organized cadmium sulphide (CdS) quantum dots (Q-CdS). CdS thin films of self-organized quantum dot like structure with different particle size have been successfully deposited simply by varying the concentration of surfactant in the reaction matrix. The model to describe the self-organization is also discussed. The size of CdS nanoparticles can be altered from 68 nm (corresponding to bulk) to 2 nm. The structural, optical, and morphological properties of Q-CdS films have been investigated. A blue shift has been observed in optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra. The strained growth of Q-CdS films has been observed. The microstructural strain calculated from peak broadening reveals an increase in strain with decreasing particle size. This study may provide a convenient method to deposit size selective and organized nanocrystalline semiconductor thin films. 相似文献

Abstract In the present work, degumming of Tasar silk was carried out using novel reagents, the ionic liquids (ILs), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride [BMIM]Cl and 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium hydrogen sulphate [BMIM]HSO4.The results on weight loss, tensile strength loss and absorbency were compared with soda ash-H2O2 method. These treatments were carried out under conventional heating, sonication and microwave irradiation as different techniques of energy input. The ILs showed higher weight loss and absorbency with negligible strength loss as compared to the soda ash-H2O2 method, [BMIM]Cl being the most effective with further advantage of working at nearly neutral pH. The treatments under sonication and microwave showed increasingly higher efficiency as compared to the conventional heating. The chemical structure of Tasar silk, as estimated by FTIR spectroscopy, and the crystalline structure, as elucidated by X-ray diffraction, remained unchanged. SEM images showed that the surface of Tasar silk degummed with ILs was smoother. The dye uptake was nearly the same for all degummed samples. A further advantage is accrued by recyclability of ILs, which makes the process cost effective. 相似文献

Carboxylic acid functionalized water soluble carbon nanotube (wsCNT) shows no toxic effect against the growth of Escherichia-coli (E. coli), a gram-negative bacteria. Treatment up to 8 microg mL(-1) of wsCNT did not show any toxic effect on E. coli growth that was followed by using bacterial growth kinetics and Spread Plate Technique (SPT). The number of E-coli colonies counts with and without wsCNT showed nearly no change and the bacterial growth kinetics in both the cases showing no toxic effect of wsCNT on the growth of E. coli. 相似文献

The aim of the present work is to derive the fundamental solutions in the linear theory of generalized thermoelasticity with three phase-lags, recently introduced by Roychoudhuri (2007). We consider the case of homogeneous and isotropic bodies and present a solution of the Galerkin-type of field equations. The solution is then used to determine the effects of concentrated loads and heat sources in an unbounded medium. The fundamental solutions of the field equations in case of steady vibrations are also derived. 相似文献

The present work is concerned with the solution of a problem on fractional order theory of thermoelasticity for an elastic medium. We investigate the thermoelastic interactions inside the medium by employing the fractional order theory of thermoelasticity, recently advocated by Sherief et al. (Int. J. Solids Struct., 47, 269–275, 2010). State space approach together with the Laplace transform technique is used to obtain the general solution of the problem. The general solution is then applied to three specific problems on an elastic half space, whose boundary is subjected to (i) a thermal shock (i.e., a step input in temperature and zero stress), (ii) a normal load (i.e., a step input in stress and zero temperature change) and (iii) a ramp type increase in temperature and zero stress. To observe the variations of displacement, temperature and stress inside the half-space we compute the numerical values of the field variables for a particular material by utilizing a numerical method of Laplace inversion. The effects of fractional order parameter on the variations of different fields inside the medium are analyzed graphically. 相似文献

In present communication, waste frying oil (WFO) has been used as a feedstock for biodiesel synthesis. WFO, procured from a local Indian restaurant possessed an acid value of 0.84 mg KOH/g, which is low enough for single step transesterification reaction. Biodiesel (fatty acid methyl esters) was washed after transesterification reaction and the yield got lowered substantially (from 96% to 86.36%) after water washing owing to loss of esters. 30:100 vol% (methanol to oil), 0.6 wt% NaOCH3, 60°C temperature and 600 rpm agitation in 1 h reaction time was found to be optimum for transesterification reaction. 1H NMR spectrum showed a high conversion (95.19%) of fatty acids in WFO to biodiesel in 2 h reaction time.
