ABSTRACTThe corrosivity of atmosphere in the continental territory of Russia toward carbon steel, zinc, copper and aluminium was determined and estimated. The atmosphere corrosivity was determined from experimental data on first-year corrosion losses in representative test locations. The atmosphere corrosivity was estimated using first-year corrosion losses of structural materials calculated by means of dose–response functions: new ones (DRFN) and those presented in ISO 9223 (DRFS). Estimation of atmosphere corrosivity in the Russian Federation (RF) territory was performed using the data bank of the Institute of physical chemistry and electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences containing long-term annual average meteorological atmosphere parameters. The mapping of RF continental territory by categories of atmosphere corrosivity is presented. The atmosphere corrosivities estimated by DRFN and DRFS for each metal are compared. It has been shown that DRFN provides more reliable atmosphere corrosivity estimates. 相似文献

In situ imaging of molecular markers on a physical chromosome is an indispensable tool for refining genetic maps and validation genome assembly at the chromosomal level. Despite the tremendous progress in genome sequencing, the plant genome assembly at the chromosome level remains a challenge. Recently developed optical and Hi-C mapping are aimed at assistance in genome assembly. For high confidence in the genome assembly at chromosome level, more independent approaches are required. The present study is aimed at refining an ultrasensitive Tyr-FISH technique and developing a reliable and simple method of in situ mapping of a short unique DNA sequences on plant chromosomes. We have carefully analyzed the critical steps of the Tyr-FISH to find out the reasons behind the flaws of this technique. The accurate visualization of markers/genes appeared to be significantly dependent on the means of chromosome slide preparation, probe design and labeling, and high stringency washing. Appropriate adjustment of these steps allowed us to detect a short DNA sequence of 1.6 Kb with a frequency of 51.6%. Based on our results, we developed a more reliable and simple protocol for dual-color Tyr-FISH visualization of unique short DNA sequences on plant chromosomes. This new protocol can allow for more accurate determination of the physical distance between markers and can be applied for faster integration of genetic and cytogenetic maps. 相似文献

Photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanopowders of anatase modification with various particle sizes and specific surface areas has been studied in the process of photocatalytic decolorization of aqueous solutions of methylene blue and direct blue 2C azodyes. By means of scanning electron microscopy and low-temperature N2 adsorption method, it was found that TiO2 nanopowders have the particles size of 5-120 nm with the specific surface area of 15-120 m2·g^-1. The used TiO2 samples are characterized by mesoporous structures with average pore size of 4.3-14.9 nm. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was evaluated via decolorization of azodyes solutions. It was shown that the efficiency of decolorization symbatically changes with the dye adsorption value on TiO2 surface and the degree of decolorization rises when the surface area of TiO2 nanopowders increases. It was found that TiO2 photocatalytic activity essentially depends on adsorption interactions between the dye molecules and catalytic active centers on TiO2 surface, and these interactions, in turn, are greatly affected by pH of the solution. 相似文献

Highly active supported vanadium‐magnesium catalysts (VMC) produce polyethylene (PE) with broad and bimodal molecular mass distribution (MMD) in comparison with the famous titanium‐magnesium catalysts (TMC). The effect of hydrogen as an efficient chain‐transfer agent on the MMD of PE has been studied. Increasing hydrogen concentration causes a considerable broadening of MMD of PE due to the shift of the low molecular weight peak on the MMD curve. At the same time, the high molecular weight shoulder stays at the same position even at high hydrogen concentration. This means that VMC contain two types of active centre. One type is very reactive in the chain‐transfer reaction with hydrogen. These centres produce low molecular weight PE in polymerization in the presence of hydrogen. The other type of active centre is not active in chain transfer with hydrogen. These centres produce high molecular weight PE ((1–3) × 106) and hydrogen does not affect the position of the high molecular weight shoulder. The distribution of gas and liquid among four parallel pipes was studied with and without orifice restrictions. The results show that the two phases may not be equally distributed among the pipes. It is shown that the two-phase flow mixture can “choose” to flow in one, two, three or in all four pipes depending on gas and liquid flow rates, on pipe inclination and on the orifice plate size. Addition of orifice plates expands the region of stability and the range of flow in all four pipes. The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with the analysis. 相似文献

Recycled bottle‐grade PET (rPET) is a valuable low‐cost polymeric material. However, enhancement of its mechanical properties is necessary for many applications. This work is focused on clay‐reinforced/compatibilized rPET/elastomer system. Although the clay addition to various rPET/elastomer blends caused a remarkable refinement of structure, more pronounced for clay with less polar modification, both a gain or decrease in strength and toughness occurred, whereas an increase in modulus was found for all systems. This is a consequence of simultaneous complex affecting many parameters by clay and both antagonistic and synergistic combination of respective effects. Best results were found for low contents of EPR rubber and its preblending with clay. The presented results indicate that a suitable combination of nanosilicates with rubber can lead to rPET materials with fairly enhanced properties. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This article deals with the failure of polyethylene pipes transporting chlorine dioxide (DOC) disinfected water under pressures of few bars. Accelerated aging tries made at 20 or 40°C show that the antioxidant is rapidly consumed in a superficial layer until a depth of about 1.2 mm. Carbonyl groups appear in a sharper layer of few hundreds micrometers. Natural aging results at various places, for various times up to about 30 years, reveal also a superficial attack with a depth of the order of 1.2 mm. An antioxidant loss by migration, in the whole sample thickness, is also observable. The shape of antioxidant concentration profiles indicates that the crossing of interfaces controls partially the whole migration kinetics. Failures, with brittle cracking, were observed in natural aging, after exposure times of the order of 5–15 years, i.e., far before the expected lifetime (50 years). A kinetic model has been elaborated to predict the time to failure. It is based on a chemical unit, which models the radical processes induced by DOC, and a mechanical unit based on an empirical creep law and a failure criterion depending of the molar mass calculated by the chemical unit. Novel dual-analyte single-well bioluminescence immunoassay (BLIA) for total and IgG-bound prolactins was developed on the base of Ca(2+)-regulated photoprotein obelin mutants with altered color and kinetics of bioluminescence signal as reporters. The mutants W92F-H22E and Y138F were chemically conjugated with monoclonal mouse anti-hPRL and anti-hIgG immunoglobulins and thus displayed signals from total prolactin and IgG-bounded prolactin (macroprolactin) correspondingly. Bioluminescence of the reporters was simultaneously triggered by a single injection of Ca(2+) solution and discriminated via bioluminescent signal spectral and time resolution. The developed microplate-based immunoassay allows detection of two prolactin forms in crude serum without additional manipulations (e.g., gel chromatography or PEG-precipitation). Total prolactin bioluminescence immunoassay in standard, control, and clinical sera offers high sensitivity and reproducibility. The BLIA results show good correlation with those obtained by RIA and immunoassay after gel chromatography. 相似文献
