Based on the present state of the art of the separation technology, recycling of fission-product rare elements (FRE) in the FBR spent fuel is discussed. The rad.-waste fractionation is in accordance with the present society's trend toward zero-emission, and the mean of salt-free method utilizing electrochemistry agrees with the principles of the newly established green chemistry. A catalytic electrolytic extraction method is proposed to separate the target, radioactive but potentially strategic elements, Pd, Ru, Rh, Re (Tc), Te and Se dissolved in the HLLW. It avoids secondary waste arising. This method is particularly feasible for the separation of Pd where cyclic reaction of metal cations such as Pd(II) or Fe(II), acting as promoters or mediators and already contained in HLLW, accelerates the electrochemical deposition of Ru, Rh and Re. Elemental separation not only offers alternative material resources to meet expanding demands for catalysts in Fuel Cell/Soft Energy system but is also the first step for transmutation or other selective strategies for waste management of long-lived fission products (LLFP).  相似文献

The microstructure of Cu interconnections fabricated by high-pressure annealing was evaluated using a field emission scanning electron microscope/electron backscatter diffraction pattern (FE-SEM/EBSP) technique, and the results are compared with as-deposited and normally annealed Cu films. The results show some grains extending from the bulk field to the via regions in the case of the high-pressure annealed Cu films. The existence of via holes was also observed, in which all grains were (111) oriented. This indicates that the high-pressure annealing process enables the Cu that in-fills the via holes to develop into favorable microstructures, i.e., single-crystal and with (111) orientation.  相似文献

Direct modulation at 12.5 Gb/s of 1.3-/spl mu/m InGaAlAs distributed feedback (DFB) ridge waveguide (RWG) lasers with low-resistance notch-free gratings running up to 115/spl deg/C is experimentally demonstrated. It was achieved by the combination of the high differential gain of an InGaAlAs MQW active layer, high characteristic temperature of RWG structure, and low-resistance notch-free grating. Moreover, successful transmission of 10-Gb/s modulated signals over 30-km standard single-mode fiber was achieved with the laser running at up to 115/spl deg/C. These results confirm the suitability of this type of laser for use as the cost-effective light source in 12.5-Gb/s and 10-Gb/s datacom applications.  相似文献

The possibility of near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to measure the amount of bacterial contamination in shredded cabbage was investigated. NIR measurements in the short wavelength region from 700 to 1100 nm were done using two types of saline solutions: one was used to stomach with the samples as the conventional method and the other was used to wash the outer surface of the sample to examine the possibility of a non‐destructive method. Partial least squares regression (PLS) was used to develop the equations for bacterial amount. Spectra from the stomacher solution and the washing solution produced similar results. Sufficiently accurate results could be obtained with the bias‐corrected standard error of prediction (SEPs) of 0.46 log CFU g?1 for the stomacher solution and 0.44 log CFU g?1 for the washing solution. NIR spectroscopy was clarified to be a rapid and non‐destructive method for prediction of bacterial contamination in shredded cabbage.  相似文献

Ceramic thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) used in gas-turbine engines afford higher operating temperatures, resulting in enhanced efficiencies and performance. However, in the case of syngas-fired engines, fly ash particulate impurities that may be present in syngas can melt on the hotter TBC surfaces and form glassy deposits. These deposits can penetrate the TBCs leading to their failure. In experiments using lignite fly ash to simulate these conditions we show that conventional TBCs of composition 93 wt% ZrO2 + 7 wt% Y2O3 (7YSZ) fabricated using the air plasma spray (APS) process are completely destroyed by the molten fly ash. The molten fly ash is found to penetrate the full thickness of the TBC. The mechanisms by which this occurs appear to be similar to those observed in degradation of 7YSZ TBCs by molten calcium-magnesium-alumino-silicate (CMAS) sand and by molten volcanic ash in aircraft engines. In contrast, APS TBCs of Gd2Zr2O7 composition are highly resistant to attack by molten lignite fly ash under identical conditions, where the molten ash penetrates ∼25% of TBC thickness. This damage mitigation appears to be due to the formation of an impervious, stable crystalline layer at the fly ash/Gd2Zr2O7 TBC interface arresting the penetrating molten-fly-ash front.  相似文献

A method for confirming identification of prohibited species tissue in animal feed has been developed on the basis of PCR-RFLP analysis. In Japan, to prevent the spread of BSE through animal feed, the use of animal protein in feed has been regulated. Species-specific PCR detection of prohibited species materials in feed has been used as one of a series of laboratory tests to ensure the proper implementation of the feed regulations. However, since the result of this PCR method is determined only by amplicon length, it is sometimes necessary to confirm whether or not the positive result is due to the effect of a non-specific reaction. For this purpose, DNA sequencing is the best way to confirm the test result but it is not suitable for routine analysis because of the required time and cost. In this study, we developed an easy and rapid method to confirm the species identification (mammals, ruminants and cattle) by using 4 restriction enzymes: SmlI, MboI, BlnI and Hpy188III. This PCR-RFLP method, which ensures identification of prohibited animal species in feed, is useful for enhancing the reliability of feed inspection for BSE prevention. This method will be added to the Official Methods of Feed Analysis.  相似文献

We have proposed an illumination-collection-type scanning near-field Raman spectroscopy (SNRS) with a completely gold metal-inside-coated (MIC) pyramidal probe without an optical aperture in order to detect the Raman spectra of fine Si devices for local stress measurements. The gold MIC pyramidal probe has been studied to act as a plasmon resonance near-field optical probe with high power using a finite differential time domain (FDTD) simulation and the prototyped SNRS. In the simulation, the propagated optical power can be made available for SNRS. In the experiments, it is clear that the prototyped SNRS enhanced the Si Raman peak signal by plasmon resonance and could measure the Si Raman peak shift by line scanning the Si gate region and the Si active layer. Furthermore, compressive and tensile stresses localized around the Si gate were demonstrated by the Si Raman peak shift with a resolution of about 10 nm. It is clarified that the proposed SNRS has the possibility of detecting the Raman spectra of a local area.  相似文献

High-energy proton irradiation (380 keV and 1 MeV) on the electrical properties of CuInSe2 (CIS) thin films has been investigated. The samples were epitaxially grown on GaAs (0 0 1) substrates by Radio Frequency sputtering. As the proton fluence exceeded 1×1013 cm−2, the carrier concentration and mobility of the CIS thin films were decreased. The carrier removal rate with proton fluence was estimated to be about 1000 cm−1. The electrical properties of CIS thin films before and after irradiation were studied between 80 and 300 K. From the temperature dependence of the carrier concentration in CIS thin films, we found ND=9.5×1016 cm−3, NA=3.7×1016 cm−3 and ED=21 meV from the fitting to the experimental data on the basis of the charge balance equation. After irradiation, a defect level was created, and NT=1×1017 cm−3 for a fluence of 3×1013 cm−2, NT=5.7×1017 cm−3 for a fluence of 1×1014 cm−2 and ET=95 meV were also obtained from the same fitting. The new defect, which acted as an electron trap, was due to proton irradiation, and the defect density was increased with proton fluence.  相似文献

Recently, optical image coding using a circular Dammann grating (CDG) has been proposed and investigated. However, the proposed technique is intensity based and could not be used for three-dimensional (3D) image coding. In this paper, we investigate an optical image coding technique that is complex-amplitude based. The system can be used for 3D image coding. The complex-amplitude coding is provided by a circular Dammann grating through the use of a digital holographic recording technique called optical scanning holography. To decode the image, along the depth we record a series of pinhole holograms coded by the CDG. The decoded reconstruction of each depth location is extracted by the measured pinhole hologram matched to the desired depth. Computer simulations as well as experimental results are provided.  相似文献
