The Film Dryout Analysis Code in Subchannels, FIDAS, has been developed with the main objective of predicting dryout and post-dryout heat transfer in a channel and in rod bundles. In FIDAS, two-phase flow consisting of continuous liquid film, continuous vapor and entrained droplets is modeled by a three-fluid, three-field representation of 12 field equations, i.e. three continuity, three energy and six momentum equations. FIDAS can predict dryout without any empirical CHF correlations by introducing annular flow modeling and the ‘film dryout criterion’. Experiments on film flow characteristics, subchannel flow and enthalpy distributions, dryout and post-dryout heat transfer in tubes and rod bundles were analyzed to demonstrate the performance of FIDAS. The predictions of FIDAS are in close agreement with the experiments.  相似文献

A series of symmetrical and racemic 1,3-diacylglycerols and 1-alkyl-3-acylglycerols were prepared simply, and in high yields, by the reaction of carboxylic acids with glycidyl esters or glycidyl ethers in the presence of quaternary ammonium salt. The effect of reaction conditions on the yield, the ratio of 1,3- and 1,2-diacylglycerols, and the stability of 1,3-diglycerides are also discussed.  相似文献

AlGaN-GaN heterojunction field-effect transistors (HFETs) with a field modulating plate (FP) were fabricated on an SiC substrate. The gate-drain breakdown voltage (BV/sub gd/) was significantly improved by employing an FP electrode, and the highest BV/sub gd/ of 160 V was obtained with an FP length (L/sub FP/) of 1 /spl mu/m. The maximum drain current achieved was 750 mA/mm, together with negligibly small current collapse. A 1-mm-wide FP-FET (L/sub FP/=1 /spl mu/m) biased at a drain voltage of 65 V demonstrated a continuous wave saturated output power of 10.3 W with a linear gain of 18.0 dB and a power-added efficiency of 47.3% at 2 GHz. To our knowledge, the power density of 10.3 W/mm is the highest ever achieved for any FET of the same gate size.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of glutamate on cell proliferation and the expression of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and its receptor (FGF-R1) mRNA in cultured rat retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells. The number of primary RPE cells was significantly higher after treatment with 0.2 to 1.0 mM glutamate (maximum at 1.0 mM) for 7 days than in controls. Glutamate-stimulated cell proliferation was abolished by (+)-5-methyl-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5,10-imine (MK-801), but not by 6,7-dinitroquinoxaline-2,3-dione or L(+)-2-amino-3-phosphonopropionic acid. Proliferation was increased to a similar extent by N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA), but not by kainate, alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-3-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid or trans-(+/-)-1-amino-1,3-cyclopentanedicarboxylic acid. NMDA-receptor-like immunoreactivity was detected in most cells cultured. Treatment of cells with glutamate increased the level of bFGF mRNA and, to a lesser extent, that of FGF-R1 mRNA, which peaked 2 and 4 days, respectively, after glutamate was added. The increase in bFGF mRNA induced by glutamate was inhibited by MK-801. These findings suggest that glutamate might stimulate proliferation of RPE cells through activation of NMDA receptors and expression of bFGF and further suggest that glutamate may be involved in the proliferative changes of RPE cells in retinal wound healing.  相似文献

Long time behaviour of the survival probability for unstable multilevel systems is studied based on the N-level Friedrichs model in the presence of zero energy resonance, that means the divergence of the resolvent at zero energy. With resort to the technique developed by Jensen and Kato [Duke Math. J. 46, 583 (1979)], the zero energy resonance of this model is characterized by the zero energy eigenstate that does not belong to the Hilbert space. It is then shown that for some kinds of the form factors, logarithmically slower decay of the survival probability can be realized.  相似文献

GaInAs-GaInAsP-InP SCH (separate-confinement heterostructure) multiquantum-film lasers with approximately 100-nm-wide wirelike active regions were fabricated by two-step low-pressure organometallic vapor-phase epitaxy (LP-OMVPE) growth and wet chemical etching and operated at room temperature. An increase in the threshold current density in such lasers was drastically reduced by using a preheating process in hydrogen atmosphere and a thin InP cover layer growth prior to the regrowth of a GaInAsP optical confinement layer. The fabrication processes presented can be very effective for realization of room-temperature operation of long-wavelength quantum-wire and quantum-box lasers based on GaInAs-InP materials.<>  相似文献

A wireless sensor server is developed based on a reconfigurable active smart-antenna/retrodirective array. The system can serve as both a retrodirective array transponder and a smart-antenna receiver simply by changing the frequency of the local oscillator applied to the mixers, enabling it to utilize its hardware best to suit its communication environment. When operating as a direct-conversion receiver, the receiver array successfully demodulates a quaternary phase-shift keying (QPSK) modulated signal with circuit gain of 7 dB, and E/sub b//N/sub 0/ for BER=10/sup -4/ is approximately 12 dB without any error correction. In the retrodirective array mode, the system provides 20 dB circuit gain and 20 dB radio-frequency/intermediate-frequency isolation at the center frequency as well as phase conjugation, exhibiting excellent retrodirectivity. The mixers perform phase conjugation and modulation simultaneously, enabling the transmission of locally stored data. The local data is successfully extracted by an interrogator.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The Hemopump (DLP/Medtronic) has been in clinical use for about 7 years. There is still no adequate way of determining actual output from the three available pump systems in the clinical situation. If the pump is completely stopped during weaning from the device, there is a possibility of back-leakage through the pump, endangering the patient from regurgitation into the left ventricle. It can also make it more difficult to judge the recovery of heart function because of a volume load of the left ventricle. The aim of this study was to evaluate in a standardized, experimental in vitro model the output from three different-sized Hemopump catheters at various pressure levels and to quantify the back-flow through the pumps. METHODS: The Hemopump models were tested in an in vitro study regarding total outflow at various speeds at three pressure levels. The back-flow through the pumps was also measured with the pumps at a complete stop. RESULTS: The outflow from the Hemopumps ranged from 0.4 to 4.5 L/min, depending on which pump and speed were used. Variations in total output, depending on speed and various pressure settings, could be up to 0.4 L/min. Back-flow through the pump into the left ventricle may be as great as 1.6 L/min. CONCLUSIONS: The flow outputs from the different Hemopump models were reproducible over time and were closely related to the resistance of the model. The Hemopump, if not running, can induce substantial regurgitation through the pump into the left ventricle.  相似文献

The effects of gomisin A, a lignan component of Schizandra fruits, on the promotion stage of hepatocarcinogenesis initiated by 3'-methyl-4-dimethylamino-azobenzene (3'-MeDAB) in male Donryu rats were investigated. When different types of tumor promotors, phenobarbital (PB) and deoxycholic acid (DCA), were administered for 5 weeks after initiation by 3'-MeDAB, preneoplastic alterations in the liver, determined by glutathione S-transferase placental form (GST-P), were markedly increased. Gomisin A significantly inhibited the increase in number and size of GST-P positive foci, regardless of the promotor. This lignan inhibited the increase in serum bile acid concentration by administration of DCA, but hardly influenced the serum bile acids in the PB-combined group. These results suggest that the inhibitory effect of gomisin A on the promotive action of DCA is based on improving bile acid metabolism, but regarding the action of PB, the effect could not be elucidated from the metabolism of bile acids.  相似文献
