A class of linear quadratic regulators of the system with time-delay in the states is constructed by a memoryless feedback, and its robustness is evaluated. First, a static non-linear perturbation is inserted in the input channel, and a robust stability condition is derived. As its special case, it is shown that the regulator has infinite gain margin and at least 50% gain reduction tolerance. Next, a dynamic linear perturbation is inserted in the same point, and an alternative stability condition is derived. It assures that the regulator has at least 60o phase margin. These results coincide with those of the finite dimensional LQ regulator. 相似文献

In order to produce highly concentrated bioethanol by pervaporation using an ethanol‐permselective silicalite membrane, techniques to suppress adsorption of succinic acid, which is a chief by‐product of ethanol fermentation and causes the deterioration in pervaporation performance, onto the silicalite crystals was investigated. The amount adsorbed increased as the pH of the aqueous succinic acid solution decreased. The pervaporation performance also decreased with decreasing pH when the ternary mixtures of ethanol/water/succinic acid were separated. Using silicalite membranes individually coated with two types of silicone rubber, pervaporation performance was significantly improved in the pH range of 5 to 7, when compared with that of non‐coated silicalite membranes in ternary mixtures of ethanol/water/succinic acid. Moreover, when using a silicalite membrane double‐coated with the two types of silicone rubber, pervaporation performance was stabilized at lower pH values. In the separation of bioethanol by pervaporation using the double‐coated silicalite membrane, removal of accumulated substances having an ultraviolet absorption maximum at approximately 260 nm from the fermentation broth proved to be vital for efficient pervaporation. It is well known that the linear quadratic regulators of finite dimensional linear systems have the insensitivity property. In this paper, as a particular class of infinite dimensional systems, a neutral delay‐differential system is considered as a plant. A class of linear quadratic regulators is constructed for the plant using a simple feedback law, which does not require real‐time either integral or derivative operations. The feedback gain is calculated by solving a finite dimensional linear matrix inequality. First, it is shown that the regulator satisfies the circle condition. Then, its sensitivity against the parameter variations is evaluated. In the single‐input case, it is done by calculating the absolute value of the sensitivity function. In the multi‐input case, it is done by the so‐called “comparison sensitivity” method where the sensitivities of the closed‐loop system and the open‐loop system are compared based on certain sensitivity indices. Procedures used for the investigation of the regulator's properties are based on natural extension of methods proposed by Perkins and Cruz for the finite dimensional case. As a result, it is found that the class of linear quadratic regulators of neutral systems, similarly to finite dimensional systems, has the insensitivity property. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Mannosylerythritol lipid-A (MEL-A) is a glycolipid biosurfactant abundantly produced from soybean oil by microorganisms at a yield of up to 100 g/L. In this study, the formation of water-in-oil (W/O) microemulsion based on the single component of MEL-A was confirmed using dynamic light scattering (DLS) and freeze fracture electron microscopy (FF-EM). DLS and FF-EM measurements revealed that the diameter of the microemulsion increases with an increase in water-to-surfactant mole ratio (W(0)) ranging from 20 to 60 nm, and the maximum W(0) value was found to be 20, which is as high as that of soybean lecithin. Glycolipid biosurfactant has a great potential for the formation of W/O microemulsion without using any cosurfactants. 相似文献

The paper describes a method for estimating the coefficient of friction (COF) between sliding surfaces by an indentation of an acute-angled indenter. The COF estimated by the method is compared with the COF measured by a friction tester. The conical indenter, which is made of WC and has an apex angle of 45°, is used for the experiments. A micro-Vickers hardness tester is used for the indentation tests. The friction tester used is one of Bowden–Leben type. A copper and a 0.45% carbon steel are used for the indentation and sliding specimens. The estimation of the COF is based on the equilibrium equation of indentation, which takes the friction between the contacting surfaces of the indenter and the specimen into consideration. The results show that the estimated COF is approximately equal to the measured one. Based on the results, the validity of this method is discussed. 相似文献

In this paper, a reproduction of a swing‐up and a giant swing motion of underactuated robots based on technique of the horizontal bar gymnast is discussed with focusing on an equivalent center of mass (ECM) of underactuated robots and the gymnast. At first, the behaviors of the ECM of the gymnast (ECMG) are analyzed by using a motion capturing technique and an efficient motion of the ECMG for the swing‐up and for the giant swing motion are identified from analysis results, respectively. Next, a partial linearization method, which can realize that the ECM of the Acrobot (ECMA) replicates this efficient motion, is designed and reproduces the underactuated robots the swing‐up and giant swing motion like the gymnast. We developed a root cause analysis (RCA) system for an enterprise IT system environment. In this paper, we propose a rule‐construction method that builds analysis rule data objects from general analysis rules and the topology information of the actual target IT environment. Using this method, the IT administrator can use the RCA system without any manual rule modifications. For the execution of the analysis, we introduce the certainty factor to realize robust analysis when the order and reachability of a fault event cannot be guaranteed. 相似文献
