In this paper, a reproduction of a swing‐up and a giant swing motion of underactuated robots based on technique of the horizontal bar gymnast is discussed with focusing on an equivalent center of mass (ECM) of underactuated robots and the gymnast. At first, the behaviors of the ECM of the gymnast (ECMG) are analyzed by using a motion capturing technique and an efficient motion of the ECMG for the swing‐up and for the giant swing motion are identified from analysis results, respectively. Next, a partial linearization method, which can realize that the ECM of the Acrobot (ECMA) replicates this efficient motion, is designed and reproduces the underactuated robots the swing‐up and giant swing motion like the gymnast. Finally, an effectiveness of the proposed controller is shown by numerical simulations.  相似文献

Abstract

The use of IrOx for electrodes in PbZrxTi1?xO3 (PZT) capacitors for ferroelectric memory applications has proven to be advantageous in several respects. In comparison with Pt, IrOx often exhibits improved fatigue and provides resistance to hydrogen induced degradation at elevated temperatures. Since IrOx is often produced by sputtering in an oxygen containing environment, several forms of IrOx can be produced depending on the process conditions. This work concentrates on an analysis of the DC reactive sputtering of IrOx from an Ir metal target. As with other oxidizable metals, Ir exhibits a transition between metal and oxide mode sputtering when sputtered in oxygen containing atmospheres. Variations in the Ar/O2 gas flow ratio were used to produce Ir and IrOxfilms on both sides of the metal-to-oxide mode reactive sputtering transition. Changes in the IrOx film properties were quantified by using a combination of metrics including X-ray diffraction, sheet resistance, and stress. It was found that the, IrOx crystalline structure and other IrOx properties could be directly related to the ferroelectric switching performance of PZT capacitors with IrOxtop electrodes. A relationship between IrOx deposition processes and resistance to etch induced damage of the ferroelectric properties was also observed.  相似文献

The need to have an efficient transportation system has attracted worldwide attention. Although there is increasing demand to implement distributed control system for industrial applications, there is still an unexplored potential of deploying distributed transportation system. This paper focuses on dynamic assignment of transportation requests to a fleet of vehicles in real time. We introduce an improved combinatorial auction methodology to accommodate the distributed task assignment procedure. Based on a multiagent architecture, each vehicle is represented by an intelligent agent that bids for task and plans its own schedule. On the other hand, the auctioneer has the objective of minimizing transportation tardiness. An automated guided vehicle (AGV) has been selected as the case study, and numerical experiments have been carried out. The result obtained shows that the improved task assignment approach is able to produce performance competitive to a conventional task assignment. © 2013 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. We developed a root cause analysis (RCA) system for an enterprise IT system environment. In this paper, we propose a rule‐construction method that builds analysis rule data objects from general analysis rules and the topology information of the actual target IT environment. Using this method, the IT administrator can use the RCA system without any manual rule modifications. For the execution of the analysis, we introduce the certainty factor to realize robust analysis when the order and reachability of a fault event cannot be guaranteed.  相似文献

We were able to reduce heating irregularities in equipment for heating beverage cans by using the high‐frequency induction heating method and determining the resulting improvement in the heating efficiency. The heating irregularity between the top and bottom of the can was reduced to less than 3°C by improving the arrangement of the heating coils for the beverage can by thinning the winding and changing the circuit configuration. The efficiency of power conversion was improved from 93.0% to 97.4%. In this paper, the configuration of the equipment and the experimental results are reported.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: This paper introduces a robust, real-time system for detecting driver lane changes. Background: As intelligent transportation systems evolve to assist drivers in their intended behaviors, the systems have demonstrated a need for methods of inferring driver intentions and detecting intended maneuvers. METHOD: Using a "model tracing" methodology, our system simulates a set of possible driver intentions and their resulting behaviors using a simplification of a previously validated computational model of driver behavior. The system compares the model's simulated behavior with a driver's actual observed behavior and thus continually infers the driver's unobservable intentions from her or his observable actions. RESULTS: For data collected in a driving simulator, the system detects 82% of lane changes within 0.5 s of maneuver onset (assuming a 5% false alarm rate), 93% within 1 s, and 95% before the vehicle moves one fourth of the lane width laterally. For data collected from an instrumented vehicle, the system detects 61% within 0.5 s, 77% within 1 s, and 84% before the vehicle moves one-fourth of the lane width laterally. CONCLUSION: The model-tracing system is the first system to demonstrate high sample-by-sample accuracy at low false alarm rates as well as high accuracy over the course of a lane change with respect to time and lateral movement. APPLICATION: By providing robust real-time detection of driver lane changes, the system shows good promise for incorporation into the next generation of intelligent transportation systems.  相似文献

Artificial market simulations have the potential to be a strong tool for studying rapid and large market fluctuations and designing financial regulations. High-frequency traders, that exchange multiple assets simultaneously within a millisecond, are said to be a cause of rapid and large market fluctuations. For such a large-scale problem, this paper proposes a software or computing platform for large-scale and high-frequency artificial market simulations (Plham: /pl\(\Lambda\)m). The computing platform, Plham, enables modeling financial markets composed of various brands of assets and a large number of agents trading on a short timescale. The design feature of Plham is the separation of artificial market models (simulation models) from their execution (execution models). This allows users to define their simulation models without parallel computing expertise and to choose one of the execution models they need. This computing platform provides a prototype execution model for parallel simulations, which exploits the variety in trading frequency among traders, that is, the fact that some traders do not require up-to-date information of markets changing in millisecond order. We evaluated a prototype implementation on the K computer using up to 256 computing nodes.  相似文献

In the present study, we compared the ability of the soluble adjuvants concanavalin A (ConA), muramyl dipeptide (MDP), and peptidoglycan (PG) to enhance immune responses to orally administered particulate antigens of Streptococcus mutans 6715 in gnotobiotic rats. The isotype and levels of antibody in saliva and in serum from experimental rats were determined by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using S. mutans whole cells (WC) as the coating antigen. The specificities of salivary and serum immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibodies to particulate S. mutans antigens, lipoteichoic acid, S. mutans serotype g carbohydrate, and dextran were also determined. When 50 micrograms of ConA was used as the oral adjuvant with S. mutans 6715 WC immunogen, a slight enhancement of immune responses was obtained. A higher dose of ConA suppressed humoral responses to the immunogen. Enhanced immune responses, especially of the IgA isotype, in both serum and saliva were induced in gnotobiotic rats given MDP and either S. mutans 6715 WC or purified cell walls (CW) by gastric intubation. Elevated IgA antibody levels to CW, lipoteichoic acid, and carbohydrate were observed in rats given S. mutans WC and MDP by gastric intubation, whereas oral immunization with S. mutans CW and MDP resulted in higher antibody levels to CW and carbohydrate and lower levels to lipoteichoic acid when compared with the antibody levels in rats given antigen alone. Rats orally immunized with either S. mutans WC or CW and MDP and challenged with virulent S. mutans 6715 exhibited significantly (P less than or equal to 0.05) lower plaque scores, numbers of viable S. mutans in plaque, and caries scores than did rats immunized with antigen alone or in infected-only controls. In another series of experiments, a PG fraction derived from S. mutans 6715 CW was assessed for adjuvant properties. The oral administration of PG and either S. mutans WC or CW induced good salivary and serum IgA antibody responses. The specificity of the antibodies was similar to that obtained in rats given antigen and MDP. Rats receiving either S. mutans WC or CW and PG and challenged with virulent S. mutans 6715 had lower plaque scores, fewer numbers of viable S. mutans in plaque, and lower caries activity than did infected rats receiving S. mutans WC or CW immunogen alone. These results provide evidence that soluble adjuvants derived from the gram-positive bacterial CW, e.g., MDP and PG, are effective oral adjuvants and augment IgA immune responses to particulate S. mutans antigens which are protective against the mucosally associated disease, dental caries.  相似文献

This paper considers the evolution of cooperative behaviors as the interaction among agents using a genetic algorithm to improve the performance of the task in a group (group performance). Previous research often usedthe group fitness method, which evaluates group performance for the evolution of multiple groups in parallel. However, this entails large simulation costs and the evolution speed is slow.The individual fitness method that evaluates theindividual performance of the task entails a smaller simulation cost. However, it can not improve the group performance since each agent behaves selfishly. To optimize the group performance, it is important to include bothcompetition andsharing. Therefore, this paper presentsthe species fitness method, which shares the individual performances of agents belonging to the same species in a group that all have the same chromosomes. We show comparative experiments on these three methods on the evolutionary simulation of a foraging task in a group. To test the interaction among the agents, four kinds of species are evolved which show their communication ability by demonstrating whether the agent can send or receive the signal for food. Experimental results show that evaluating the species variance fitness leads the agents into reciprocative actions.
