The Thomsom Scattering diagnostic of the TJ-II stellarator provides temperature and density profiles. The CCD camera acquires images corrupted with noise that, in some cases, can produce unreliable profiles. The main source of noise is the so-called stray-light. In this paper we describe an approach that allows mitigation of the effects that stray-light has on the images: extraction regions with connected-components. In addition, the robustness and effectiveness of the noise reduction technique is validated in two ways: (1) supervised classification and (2) comparison of electron temperature profiles. 相似文献

The current concern with the environment promotes the development of new technologies for production with use of alternative materials, from renewable resources, and changes in production processes, having as main objective the reduction of environmental impact. One of the alternatives for cleaner production is the use of castor oil derivatives instead of non-renewable sources, such as adhesives based on PVA (polyvinyl acetate), applied in the manufacturing process of glued laminated bamboo. Based on the versatility of the bamboo laminate and the castor oil, and from the perspective of sustainability, this study aims to contribute to the application of new materials and processes, used in the manufacturing industry, by proposing the use of the polyurethane adhesive based on castor oil for glued laminated bamboo manufacturing, which can later be used in the manufacture of several products. To verify the applicability of the polyurethane adhesive based on castor oil in the glued laminated bamboo manufacture, mechanical tests of traction and shearing of the glue sheet were performed in specimens of the said material, and the results were compared with the Cascorez 2590 and Waterbond adhesives. The results showed that the polyurethane adhesive based on castor oil, in the traction test, has superior performance than the Waterbond adhesive and slightly below than the Cascorez 2590 adhesive, but in the shear test, the polyurethane adhesive based on castor oil presented a slightly inferior performance than the other two adhesives used in the comparison. 相似文献

Several studies have shown that herbivore-induced plant volatiles act directly on herbivores and indirectly on their natural
enemies. However, little is known about the effect of herbivore damage on resistant and susceptible plant cultivars and its
effect on their natural enemies. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the attraction of the herbivorous pentatomid
bug Euschistus heros and its egg parasitoid Telenomus podisi to two resistant and one susceptible soybean cultivars with different types of damage (herbivory, herbivory+oviposition,
and oviposition). In a Y-tube olfactometer, the parasitoids were attracted to herbivory and herbivory+oviposition damaged
soybean plants when compared to undamaged soybean plants for the resistant cultivars, but did not show preference for the
susceptible cultivar Silvania in any of the damage treatments. The plant volatiles emitted by oviposition-damaged plants in
the three cultivars did not attract the egg parasitoid. In four-arm-olfactometer bioassays, E. heros females did not show preference for odors of damaged or undamaged soybean plants of the three cultivars studied. The Principal
Response Curves (PRC) analysis showed consistent variability over time in the chemical profile of volatiles between treatments
for the resistant cultivar Dowling. The compounds that most contributed to the divergence between damaged soybean plants compared

A unified approach to bubbling-jetting phenomena in powder injection into iron and steel 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The injection of powder into liquids has been investigated by physical modeling and by multi-phase fluid dynamic modeling.
The transition from gas-particle jets which penetrate deeply into the liquid and a gas bubbling regime was found to depend
on the coupling between gas and particle phases in the conveying line; fine particles at high loading couple well and form
jets, whereas coarse particles separate from the gas during bubble formation. The measured penetration depths of submerged
jets in water and lead and top jets in water were very well described by equations balancing the momentum of the jet and its
buoyancy. A regime of particle-liquid jets that forms in conjunction with bubbling also appears to depend on coupling, between
the particle and liquid phases. The effect of surface tension on the particle penetration through a bubble interface was modeled
for the single particle and multi-phase cases and compared with the work of others. On the basis of this modeling, the expected
regime of flow for many powder injection conditions can be predicted. The flow regimes of existing processes are discussed,
and guidelines for the design of processes employing various types of reactions are presented.

The energy spectrum of the surface electrons on liquid helium films in the presence of a perpendicular applied magnetic field is determined in different approaches within second order perturbation theory. The influence of the electron-ripplon interaction on the Landau levels are studied for arbitrary strength of the magnetic field and several values of the coupling constant. Current theories of the polaron ground-state and cyclotron resonance are compared to the exact weak-coupling results obtained. We found a shift down in the cyclotron resonance frequency due to polaron effects. 相似文献

Extension of sensitized zone (SZ) in welded AISI 304 stainless steel was determined by two non-destructive electrochemical tests: double loop electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation technique (DLEPR) and local electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (LEIS). Welding was carried out using the shielded metal arc with two selected welding energies: the first one (0.7 kJ mm−1) does not promote the sensitization of the 304 steel and it constitutes the reference sample and the second one (2.2 kJ mm−1) which leads to the precipitation of chromium carbides in the grain boundaries after the welding process. The non-destructive DLEPR and LEIS tests allowed the length of the SZ to be determined and a good agreement between the two techniques and the microstructure of the two welded samples was shown. The presence of an inductive loop on the local impedance diagrams seems to reflect a galvanic coupling between the weld string (anode) and the welded stainless steel plates (cathode) which will be very prejudicial to a good corrosion resistance of the welded system. The results showed that the two electrochemical tests could be applied in practical cases in industrial field. 相似文献

A statistical assessment was used to assess if a tropical reservoir had reached a stable condition, permitting the use of water quality models to predict the water quality dynamics of a water system under different climatic or management scenarios. This approach was applied to Aguamilpa Reservoir in western Mexico, one of the largest tropical reservoirs in the world. Water quality data collected by the National Water Commission, and hydrological and climatic data from the Federal Electricity Commission from the period of January 2000 to December 2007 served as the data base. Time‐series analysis identified three distinct homogeneous seasonal groups: (i) warm dry season, (ii) rainy season and (iii) cold dry season. The seasonal responses of water quality parameters (temperature, electrical conductivity, total suspended solids concentration, biochemical oxygen demand and total coliforms) were demonstrated through analysis of variance of the principal components. 相似文献
