We have developed a simple method of fabricating transparent conductive films with a high mechanical strength on glass and indium tin oxide substrates. It does not require a large excess of organic solvents and polymerization catalysts and can yield smooth films by spin-coating of a mixture of a commercially available aqueous dispersion of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(4-styrene sulfonate) and a neat liquid of tetraethyl orthosilicate. Preparation conditions such as feed ratio, kinds of additives, and annealing temperature and time were optimized to give highly conductive, transparent and mechanically strong films.  相似文献

This paper presents a motion estimation and compensation large scale integration (LSI) for the MPEG2 standard. An embedded RISC processor and special hardware modules enable the LSI to achieve a sufficient ability to perform real-time operation and provide the availability to realize many kinds of block matching algorithms. Using a three-step hierarchical telescopic search algorithm, a single chip accomplishes real-time motion estimation with search ranges of ±32.5×±32.5 pixels for motion vectors. The fluorescence properties of double layer-type dendrimers with carbazole as the outer layer and phenylazomethine as the inner layer of the dendron with a zinc porphyrin core were studied. Based on the fluorescence quantum yield (solution), the effect of the bulky dendron to inhibit the interaction of the chromophores was confirmed. Additionally, the efficient light-harvesting property of the double layer-type dendron was revealed by the fluorescence measurement at several excitation wavelengths. These dendrimers were used as an emitting-layer in an OLED device. The electroluminescence of the core porphyrin was observed and it was shown that the double layer-type dendrimer with a luminescent core has the potential to be a hole-transporting/emitting material.  相似文献

Group I (GI) self‐splicing ribozymes are attractive tools for biotechnology and synthetic biology. Several trans‐splicing and related reactions based on GI ribozymes have been developed for the purpose of recombining their target mRNA sequences. By combining trans‐splicing systems with rational modular engineering of GI ribozymes it was possible to achieve more complex editing of target RNA sequences. In this study we have developed a cooperative trans‐splicing system through rational modular engineering with use of dimeric GI ribozymes derived from the Tetrahymena group I intron ribozyme. The resulting pairs of ribozymes exhibited catalytic activity depending on their selective dimerization. Rational modular redesign as performed in this study would facilitate the development of sophisticated regulation of double or multiple trans‐splicing reactions in a cooperative manner.  相似文献

An effective strategy is highly desirable for preventing acute kidney injury (AKI) to chronic kidney disease (CKD) transition. Thioredoxin-1 (Trx), a redox-active protein that has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties, would be a candidate for this but its short half-life limits its clinical application. In this study, we examined the renoprotective effect of long-acting Trx that is comprised of human albumin and Trx (HSA-Trx) against AKI to CKD transition. AKI to CKD mice were created by renal ischemia-reperfusion (IR). From day 1 to day 14 after renal IR, the recovery of renal function was accelerated by HSA-Trx administration. On day 14, HSA-Trx reduced renal fibrosis compared with PBS treatment. At the early phase of fibrogenesis (day 7), HSA-Trx treatment suppressed renal oxidative stress, pro-inflammatory cytokine production and macrophage infiltration, thus ameliorating tubular injury and fibrosis. In addition, HSA-Trx treatment inhibited G2/M cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in renal tubular cells. While renal Trx protein levels were decreased after renal IR, the levels were recovered by HSA-Trx treatment. Together, HSA-Trx has potential for use in the treatment of AKI to CKD transition via its effects of modulating oxidative stress and inflammation.  相似文献

This study aims to investigate the application of temperature gradient between the ground and the air to the locomotion of soft robot. Soft robots attract attention due to its flexible adaptability and safety to the real environment in recent years. Although many soft robots are soft themselves, they require hard material as an external device such as air compressors and external power supplies for driving. To solve the problem, some authors reported an autonomous driving robot composed of a completely flexible material using gas generation by a chemical change of hydrogen peroxide solution. However, as the driving system utilizes a chemical reaction, its driving time is relatively short. On the contrary, the proposed robot moves without electricity and any external devices such as air compressors and an electrical power supplies. It can move just on the ground using the temperature gradient between the ground and the air. In experiments, we developed some prototypes and confirmed that continuous movement could be achieved with the proposed model.  相似文献

Production of polypropylene (PP) nanofibers below 1 μm in average diameter is difficult with conventional melt‐spinning. A nozzle‐free melt‐type electrospinning (M‐ESP) system with a line‐like CO2 laser beam melting device were used to produce PP nanofibers. To achieve the purpose, core [poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl alcohol) (EVOH)]–clad (PP) nanofibers (average diameter, 0.88 μm) were fabricated from PP/EVOH/PP three‐layer films using the M‐ESP. The core–clad structure was formed by a wrapping phenomenon caused by the difference in the melt flow rates (MFRs) of PP and EVOH melts. Hollow PP nanofibers were obtained from the core–clad nanofibers by extraction of EVOH. In this paper, the development of a quadruped micro-electro mechanical system (MEMS) microrobot with a four-leg independent mechanism is described. As the actuator mechanism inside small robot bodies is difficult to realize, many microrobots use external field forces such as magnetism and vibration. In this paper, artificial muscle wires that are family of shape memory alloy are used for the force of the actuator. The artificial muscle wire shows the large displacement by passing the electrical current through the material itself. The double four-link mechanism is adopted for the leg system. The link mechanism transforms the linear motion of the artificial muscle wire to the foot step-like pedaling motion. The location of the backward swing motion is lower than that of forward swing motion. This motion generates the locomotion force. As a result, the total length of the constructed quadruped MEMS microrobot was 6 mm. The microrobot could perform similar gait pattern changes as the quadruped animal.  相似文献

Primary aldosteronism (PA) is considered the most common form of secondary hypertension, which is associated with excessive aldosterone secretion in the adrenal cortex. The cause of excessive aldosterone secretion is the induction of aldosterone synthase gene (CYP11B2) expression by depolarization of adrenocortical cells. In this study, we found that YM750, an Acyl-coenzyme A: cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) inhibitor, acts on adrenocortical cells to suppress CYP11B2 gene expression and aldosterone secretion. YM750 inhibited the induction of CYP11B2 gene expression by KCl stimulation, but not by angiotensin II and forskolin stimulation. Interestingly, YM750 did not inhibit KCl-stimulated depolarization via an increase in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Moreover, ACAT1 expression was relatively abundant in the zona glomerulosa (ZG) including these CYP11B2-positive cells. Thus, YM750 suppresses CYP11B2 gene expression by suppressing intracellular signaling activated by depolarization. In addition, ACAT1 was suggested to play an important role in steroidogenesis in the ZG. YM750 suppresses CYP11B2 gene expression and aldosterone secretion in the adrenal cortex, suggesting that it may be a potential therapeutic agent for PA.  相似文献

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, with an estimate of 0.84 million cases every year. In Western countries, because of the obesity epidemic, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) has become the major cause of HCC. Intriguingly, the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis of HCC from NASH are largely unknown. We hypothesized that the growing uncoupled metabolism during NASH progression to HCC, manifested by lower cell redox status and an apoptotic ‘switch’ activity, follows a dysregulation of α1-Na/K-ATPase (NKA)/Src signalosome. Our results suggested that in NASH-related malignancy, α1-NKA signaling causes upregulation of the anti-apoptotic protein survivin and downregulation of the pro-apoptotic protein Smac/DIABLO via the activation of the PI3K → Akt pro-survival pathway with concomitant inhibition of the FoxO3 circuit, favoring cell division and primary liver carcinogenesis. Signalosome normalization using an inhibitory peptide resets apoptotic activity in malignant cells, with a significant decrease in tumor burden in vivo. Therefore, α1-NKA signalosome exercises in HCC the characteristic of a tumor suppressor, suggesting α1-NKA as a putative target for clinical therapy.  相似文献
