This paper describes the generation of temporally anchored infobox attribute data from the Wikipedia history of revisions. By mining (attribute, value) pairs from the revision history of the English Wikipedia we are able to collect a comprehensive knowledge base that contains data on how attributes change over time. When dealing with the Wikipedia edit history, vandalic and erroneous edits are a concern for data quality. We present a study of vandalism identification in Wikipedia edits that uses only features from the infoboxes, and show that we can obtain, on this dataset, an accuracy comparable to a state-of-the-art vandalism identification method that is based on the whole article. Finally, we discuss different characteristics of the extracted dataset, which we make available for further study.  相似文献

This paper proposes a generalized finite element method based on the use of parametric solutions as enrichment functions. These parametric solutions are precomputed off‐line and stored in memory in the form of a computational vademecum so that they can be used on‐line with negligible cost. This renders a more efficient computational method than traditional finite element methods at performing simulations of processes. One key issue of the proposed method is the efficient computation of the parametric enrichments. These are computed and efficiently stored in memory by employing proper generalized decompositions. Although the presented method can be broadly applied, it is particularly well suited in manufacturing processes involving localized physics that depend on many parameters, such as welding. After introducing the vademecum‐generalized finite element method formulation, we present some numerical examples related to the simulation of thermal models encountered in welding processes. Superconducting YBCO films were prepared by chemical deposition of aerosol generated from nitrate solutions by pneumatic and ultrasonic atomizers. Single crystalline YSZ and MgO substrates were used. Two different substrate temperatures were applied, with the chemical composition of starting solutions being adjusted accordingly. Deposited precursor films were thermally processed under two basically different conditions, i.e., either in atmospheric O2 atT900°C, or in atT600°C. The influence of these different deposition and annealing parameters onT c andJ c values, microstructure, and surface morphology is reported. By optimizing our technological procedure, a real possibility exists to prepare (by means of aerosol deposition) YBCO films withJ c values of at least 104–105 A/cm2, at processing temperatures (both deposition and annealing as well) not exceeding 600–700°C.  相似文献

Many (2D) Dynamic Geometry Systems (DGSs) are able to export numeric coordinates and equations with numeric coefficients to Computer Algebra Systems (CASs). Moreover, different approaches and systems that link (2D) DGSs with CASs, so that symbolic coordinates and equations with symbolic coefficients can be exported from the DGS to the CAS, already exist. Although the 3D DGS Calques3D can export numeric coordinates and equations with numeric coefficients to Maple and Mathematica, it cannot export symbolic coordinates and equations with symbolic coefficients. A connection between the 3D DGS Calques3D and the CAS Maple, that can handle symbolic coordinates and equations with symbolic coefficients, is presented here. Its main interest is to provide a convenient time-saving way to explore problems and directly obtain both algebraic and numeric data when dealing with a 3D extension of “ruler and compass geometry”. This link has not only educational purposes but mathematical ones, like mechanical theorem proving in geometry, geometric discovery (hypotheses completion), geometric loci finding… As far as we know, there is no comparable “symbolic” link in the 3D case, except the prototype 3D-LD (restricted to determining algebraic surfaces as geometric loci).  相似文献

We consider a system of Maxwell’s and Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equations describing magnetization dynamics in micromagnetism. The problem is discretized by a convergent, unconditionally stable finite element method. A multigrid preconditioned Uzawa type method for the solution of the algebraic system resulting from the discretized Maxwell’s equations is constructed. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated on numerical experiments and the results are compared to those obtained by simplified models.  相似文献

This paper presents a methodology to obtain a guaranteed‐reliability controller for constrained linear systems, which switch between different modes according to a Markov chain (Markov jump linear systems). Inside the classical maximal robust controllable set, there is 100% guarantee of never violating constraints at future time. However, outside such set, some sequences might make hitting constraints unavoidable for some disturbance realisations. A guaranteed‐reliability controller based on a greedy heuristic approach was proposed in an earlier work for disturbance‐free, robustly stabilisable Markov jump linear systems. Here, extensions are presented by, first, considering bounded disturbances and, second, presenting an iterative algorithm based on dynamic programming. In non‐stabilisable systems, reliability is zero; therefore, prior results cannot be applied; in this case, optimisation of a mean‐time‐to‐failure bound is proposed, via minor algorithm modifications. The objective of this article is to analyze the levels of forearm muscular contraction associated with the use of anti-vibration gloves, in which the contraction levels with gloves and without gloves are compared. Two different vibrating tools - a Bosch Compact Duty Multi-Cutter and a Bosch Rotary Hammer carrying an Ø20 mm bit - were used in a simulated work environment. Standard operations were performed by each subject (n = 14) in an 80 × 40 mm pine bar (cross-sectional cuts with the Multi-Cutter) and on a concrete slab 2 × 2 m, 70 mm thick (20 mm holes with the Rotary Hammer). The forearm muscular efforts were measured by surface electromyography (EMG) in four different muscles: the flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS), flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU), extensor carpi radialis longus (ECRL) and extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU). For the flexor muscles (FDS and FCU), a decrease tendency (p > 0.05) in the measured EMG was observed when the operations are performed with gloves relative to the bare hand (a reduction of 5-23% in the percentage of maximum voluntary exertion (%MVE)). For the extensor muscles (ECU), a tendency toward increased (p > 0.05) muscular contraction was observed when the operations were performed with gloves (an increase of 3-20% in the %MVE). No such tendency was found in the ECRL muscle. The ECU was the muscle with the highest %MVE for 10 and 11 operators (n = 14), during the operations, respectively, with the Multi-Cutter and the Rotary Hammer. As a final conclusion from the study, anti-vibration gloves may increase forearm fatigue in the posterior forearm (ECU muscle) and decrease forearm fatigue in the FDS muscle during operations with the above-mentioned tools.

Relevance to industry

Anti-vibration gloves have been applied in industry to reduce the vibration transmitted into the hand and arms through the palms and fingers. This study analyzed forearm muscular efforts during simulated work tasks performed with two different vibrating tools, operated with the bare hand and with three different gloves, based on the analysis of EMG data.  相似文献

Since its emergence in the early 1990s, the WWW has become not only an information system of unprecedented size, but a universal platform for the development of services and applications. However, most of the advances in web technologies are intended for professional developers, paying poor attention to end-users with no programming abilities but with explicit needs of creating and customizing web-based presentations. This provides a strong motivation for end-users to act as designers at some point, leading to an emerging role of new computing-related professionals to be considered. This paper is an effort to leverage such difficulties by providing intelligent mechanism to assist end-users in web-based authoring tasks. To carry out such a challenge, intelligent user-monitoring techniques are exploited to obtain high-level information that will be used to infer the user’s preferences and assist him throughout the interaction. Furthermore, we report on how iteration patterns can be applied to avoid repetitive tasks that are automatically carried out on behalf of the user. In order to bring off a feasible trade-off between expressivity and ease of use, a user experiment to obtain the user’s perception and evaluate the hit-rate of our system is also presented.  相似文献

Computer Supported Collaborative Learning is a pedagogical approach that can be used for deploying educational games in the classroom. However, there is no clear understanding as to which technological platforms are better suited for deploying co-located collaborative games, nor the general affordances that are required. In this work we explore two different technological platforms for developing collaborative games in the classroom: one based on augmented reality technology and the other based on multiple-mice technology. In both cases, the same game was introduced to teach electrostatics and the results were compared experimentally using a real class.  相似文献
