An efficient and regioselective thiocyanation of aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds using cross-linked poly (4-vinylpyridine)-supported thiocyanate as a versatile reagent and potassium peroxydisulfate as a strong oxidizing agent

A green and regioselective thiocyanation of aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds has been achieved via a simple protocol using cross-linked poly (4-vinylpyridine)-supported thiocyanate ion, [P₄-VP]SCN, as a versatile polymeric reagent and potassium persulfate as a strong oxidizing agent, under heterogeneous conditions.

Various indoles, phenol and aniline derivatives, and pyrroles were transformed into their corresponding aryl thiocyanates in high to excellent yields. This procedure offers advantages such as short reaction time, simple reaction work-up, and the polymeric reagents can be regenerated and reused for several times without significant loss of their activity.     

Qualitative Evolution of Asymmetric Raman Line-Shape for NanoStructures

A qualitative evolution of an asymmetric Raman line-shape function from a Lorentzian line-shape is discussed here for application in low dimensional semiconductors. The step-by-step evolution reported here is based on the phonon confinement model which is successfully used in literature to explain the asymmetric Raman line-shape from semiconductor nanostructures. Physical significance of different terms in the theoretical asymmetric Raman line-shape has been explained here. Better understanding of theoretical reasoning behind each term allows one to use the theoretical Raman line-shape without going into the details of theory from first principle. This will enable one to empirically derive a theoretical Raman line-shape function for any material if information about its phonon dispersion relation, size dependence, etc., is known.     

Linear Aliphatic Dialkynes as Alternative Linkers for Double‐Click Stapling of p53‐Derived Peptides

We investigated linear aliphatic dialkynes as a new structural class of i,i+7 linkers for the double‐click stapling of p53‐based peptides. The optimal combination of azido amino acids and dialkynyl linker length for MDM2 binding was determined. In a direct comparison between aliphatic and aromatic staple scaffolds, the aliphatic staples resulted in superior binding to MDM2 in vitro and superior p53‐activating capability in cells when using a diazidopeptide derived from phage display. This work demonstrates that the nature of the staple scaffold is an important factor that can affect peptide bioactivity in cells.

双G-M管宽量程辐射探测器设计

将Time-to-Count技术方法应用于双G-M计数管的辐射探测器,设计了G-M计数管高压快速充电电路和控制高低量程G-M计数管工作切换的电路,测试结果表明:双G-M计数管辐射探测器的量程跨度达9个数量级,测量上限达15Sv/h以上,实现了高低量程的平滑切换,还验证了探测器的稳定性和可靠性。     

主螺栓断裂对压力容器密封性能、应力及疲劳的影响分析

在理论分析和数值仿真技术基础上,研究并提出了一种主螺栓断裂对反应堆压力容器(RPV)密封性能、螺栓应力及疲劳的影响分析方法,采用该方法对主螺栓断裂影响进行了评价分析。结果表明,该方法适用于分析1根或多根主螺栓断裂情况对压力容器安全性能的影响,可以用于核电厂在运行中发生类似问题时判断反应堆能否继续运行。
