The purpose of this study is to clarify the difference of histology and elemental composition of the cervical enamels among the human permanent teeth. The reground surfaces at the cervical enamels of them were observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The contents of seven elements were analyzed quantitatively with electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). The widths of the rod sections at the cervical enamels were larger than those at the cuspal enamels. The rod sections at the mesial cervical enamels in the incisors were more obscure and more decayed by acid solution than those in the premolars and molars. The calcium and phosphorus contents of the cervical enamels were significantly lower than those of the cuspal enamels. The carbon content of the cervical enamels was significantly higher than that of the cuspal enamels. The calcium and phosphorus contents of the cervical enamels were the significantly highest in the premolars. The carbon and sodium contents of the cervical enamels were significantly highest in the premolars. It is thought that the calcification level is lower, while the content of organic matter is higher at the cervical enamels than those at the cuspal enamels. It is considered that the sodium causes high calcification.  相似文献

Several advantages of using a short length of fibre to generate broadband four-wave mixing are proposed and verified using wavelength conversion experiments for different lengths of a previously developed high-nonlinearity fibre with a nonlinear coefficient of 13.8 W-1 km-1. We found 11 genes (FAO1-11) encoding putative oxidoreductases in the Aspergillus oryzae genome, which are similar to fungal fructosyl-amino acid oxidases. The cDNAs corresponding to the genes were cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. rFao2 had fructosyl-amino acid oxidase activity, whereas rFao1 did not show any enzyme activity, even though the deduced amino acid sequence of Fao1 is identical to that of one of the fructosyl-amino acid oxidase isozymes from Aspergillus oryzae. rFao7 and rFao8 showed oxidase activity toward sarcosine, L-pipecolate, and L-proline. rFao10 was active toward only sarcosine, of the substrates tested. The functions of the other proteins were also predicted from a phylogenetic analysis.  相似文献

We describe a membrane-based collection/analysis system that differentially monitors H2S and CH3SH, and to which a conductometric SO2 analyzer using the same collector was coupled. A diffusion scrubber (DS) comprised of a Nafion tube collects H2S selectively while a porous polytetrafluoroethylene (pPTFE) DS collects both H2S and CH3SH. Both gases are measured via their ability to react with fluorescein mercuric acetate (FMA) which results in decreased fluorescence. The limited dynamic range of a negative signal procedure was overcome by using dual DS units comprised of short and long scrubbers, placed serially in the liquid flow line. Different DS designs and membrane materials were investigated. H2S, CH3SH, and SO2 from a biogenic point source were continuously measured, and the H2S/CH3SH data compared well with a standard procedure involving Tedlar bag collection, preconcentration and thermal desorption from a Tenax trap, and measurement by gas chromatography/flame photometric detection. Walkaround portability of the instrument and very large dynamic range measurement of H2S and SO2 were demonstrated around the Mt. Aso volcano.  相似文献

Amorphous BN that contains hydrogen could be synthesized by pressure pyrolysis of borazine below 700°C at 100 MPa. The fraction of B and N bonded to H in the pyrolysis product could be controlled by changing the pressure pyrolysis condition. The pyrolysis product at 700°C and 100 MPa showed formation of B-N-B bonds of the hexagonal structure in the amorphous state with some B-H and N-H bonding remaining. Spherulitic BN could be prepared only by pyrolysis below 400°C and 100 MPa. The yield of amorphous BN from borazine was as high as about 60% by this pressure pyrolysis. Amorphous BN formed from borazine could be readily converted to cubic BN by reacting it with AIN at 1200°C and 6.5 GPa.  相似文献

Stainless steel is quite attractive as bipolar plate material for polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). Passive film on stainless steel protects the bulk of it from corrosion. However, passive film is composed of mixed metal oxides and causes a decrease in the interfacial contact resistance (ICR) between the bipolar plate and gas diffusion layer. Low ICR and high corrosion resistance are both required. In order to impart low ICR to stainless steel (SUS304), carbon-coating was prepared by using plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition. Carbon-coated SUS304 was characterized by Raman spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy. Anodic polarization behavior under PEFC operating conditions (H2SO4 solution bubbled with H2 (anode)/O2 (cathode) containing 2 ppm HF at 80 °C) was examined. Based on the results of the ICR evaluated before and after anodic polarization, the potential for using carbon-coated SUS304 as bipolar plate material for PEFC was discussed.  相似文献

Permeation of 22-oxacalcitriol-1α, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3) (OCT) through excited hairless mouse skin was determined after application of OCT as solutions and O/W lotions consisted of different polarities of solvents: medium-chain fatty acid triglyceride (MCT), myristate isopropyl (IPM), 1,3-butylene glycol (1,3-BG), and propylene glycol (PG). OCT concentration in skin was also followed after applying these formulations. A two-layer diffusion model was composed to analyze dermatopharmacokinetic profiles of OCT for each vehicle. In the OCT solutions, skin permeation profile of OCT differed depending on solvent polarity. The O/W lotion with a high MCT content led to a low amount of OCT in skin. On the other hand, the O/W lotion with a high 1,3-BG content led to a high amount of OCT in skin. This dermatopharmacokinetic analysis indicated that addition of MCT to the formulation decreases the skin/vehicle partition coefficient of OCT and increases the diffusion coefficient of OCT in skin. However, the opposite effects on these two parameters were found in the case of 1,3-BG. Thus, skin permeability of OCT differed depending on the solvents used in the formulation. These results indicate that skin permeability of OCT is influenced by the physicochemical properties (i.e. polarity) of OCT, solvent, and skin. Our findings on the solvent effects of the skin permeability of OCT are thus useful for designing topical drug formulation, especially in aiming for bioequivalent dosage formulas.  相似文献

In this study, microbial precipitation of carbonate was observed using high microbial urease activity, and it was found that the ratio of Mg/Ca affected the types of crystals produced. Without Mg2+, calcite was produced using only CaCl2, while the presence of Mg produced Mg-calcite, magnesite and/or possibly dolomite of round, spherical or fibrous shapes, depending on reaction time, pH and Mg/Ca ratio. The carbonate produced contributed to the development of cementation for sands. The presence of Mg showed a relatively strong cementation of the carbonate.  相似文献

Crack-free and highly transparent KTiOPO4 (KTP) thin films were synthesized by the sol-gel method using a homogeneous precursor solution prepared from ("BuO)2-P(O)(OH), Ti(OEt)4, and KOEt in EtOH. Precipitated powders from the solution crystallized directly to KTP above 550°C. Polycrystalline KTP thin films were obtained at 600°C on various substrates. On NdAlO3(100) substrates, KTP films with (101) and (240) preferred orientations were formed at 600°C. KTP films on glass substrates showed a refractive index of 1.75 and an absorption edge of 350 nm. KTP films exhibited the second harmonic generation of the 532 nm light on irradiaton with 1064 nm light.  相似文献
