In this paper, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), artificial neural network (ANN), and partial least squares (PLS) approaches are applied to predictive control of a drying process. In the proposed approaches, the PLS analysis is used to pre-process actual data and to provide the necessary background to apply ANN and ANFIS approaches. A reasonable section of this study is assigned to the modeling with the aim at predicting the granule particle size and executing by ANFIS and ANN. ANN holds the promise of being capable of producing non-linear models, being able to work under noise conditions, and being fault tolerant to the loss of neurons or connections. Also, the ANFIS approach combines the advantages of fuzzy system and artificial neural network to design architecture and is capable of dealing with both limitation and complexity in the data set. The efficiencies of ANFIS and ANN approaches in prediction are compared and the superior approach is selected. Finally, by deploying the preferred approach, several scenarios are presented to be used in predictive control of spray drying as an accurate, fast running, and inexpensive tool. This is the first study that presents a flexible intelligent approach for predictive control of drying process by ANN, ANFIS, and PLS. The approach of this study may be easily applied to other production process.  相似文献

Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) optical and infrared data are used to monitor changes in the Caspian Sea coastline. The information extracted from MODIS images is converted into total water volume and mean lake level by combining a digital elevation model (DEM) with remote-sensing data. The elevation estimates were enhanced by reprocessing the MODIS data at the sub-pixel scale. The water volume variations estimated from MODIS data along with DEM are compared to other estimations derived from altimetry data sets, and show fair agreement.  相似文献

Mixed sulphide-oxide lead and zinc ores are most often found in the transition, and occasionally in the oxidised, zones of lead-zinc ore-bodies. They are of great importance because there are numerous unexploited or abandoned reserves of these ores in the world.However they present difficulties for conventional mineral processing due to complex mineralogy. In this paper, the specific problems associated with these types of ores are described and methods for solving these problems, combining economic and technical considerations, are discussed.The results of experiments carried out at laboratory scale are presented, in which the dissolution of mixed ore in sulphuric acid without oxidising agents was investigated. The results show the feasibility of zinc recovery from mixed sulphide-oxide lead and zinc ores, which underlines the potential of this approach. We also propose a conceptual flow diagram for the hydrometallurgical processing of these ores.  相似文献

Liquid phase direct synthesis of dimethyl ether (LPDME™) under various operating conditions (temperature, H2/CO molar ratio of feed) was conducted in a mechanically agitated slurry reactor system. Each run was monitored for 60 h time on stream (TOS) in order to confirm the high activity and long-term stability of a bi-functional catalytic system (CuO–ZnO–Al2O3/H-MFI-90). Statistical experimental design was applied for determining the optimum operating conditions under which the catalytic system shows the highest performance. A significant improvement in the performance of the bi-functional catalyst was observed when the temperature and H2/CO molar ratio of feed were increased from 200 to 240 °C and 1 to 2, respectively at a constant pressure of 35 bar and GHSV equal to 1100 mLn/(g-cat h). CO conversion was increased from 9.1 mol% at T = 200 °C and H2/CO = 1 to 79.6 mol% at T = 240 °C and H2/CO = 2 and the yield and selectivity of DME also increased from 7.11% to 47.05% and 41.57% to 59.96%, (molar basis) respectively. No significant deactivation has been observed during 60 h TOS at different operating conditions. Furthermore, from the main effect plots and response table results, it was concluded that the most effective factor on activity and stability of bi-functional catalytic system is temperature.  相似文献

Structural equation modeling was used to test theoretically based models in which psychological separation and attachment security variables were related to career indecision and those relations were mediated through vocational self-concept crystallization. In contrast to previous studies, which have found either weak or no support for a relation between separation or attachment security variables and career indecision, results based on a sample of 350 college students indicated that some components of separation and attachment security did relate to career indecision in a theoretically supportable direction. Results also revealed that regardless of whether global or component career indecision measures were used, separation and attachment security effects on indecision were at least partially mediated through vocational self-concept crystallization. This paper presents sliding mode control and model reference adaptive control strategies for the tape transport mechanism. A nonlinear multivariable MIMO model of the process, consisting of take-up and supply reel servos for tape tension control and capstan servo for speed control is considered. The sliding mode control is applied for the nonlinear dynamic model of the process, while the model reference adaptive control deals with the linearized one. Moreover, in order to associate with the realistic model of system, design of controllers is accomplished with respect to parametric uncertainties. It is shown that both control strategies can guarantee asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system and tracking of desired outputs with the appropriate pace in the presence of uncertainties. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.  相似文献

Motivated by just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing, we study the bi-objective scheduling problem of minimizing the total weighted earliness and the number of tardy jobs on a single machine, in which machine idle time and preemption are allowed. The problem is known to be NP-hard. In this paper, we propose a new mathematical model, with nonlinear terms and integer variables which cannot be solved efficiently for medium- and large-sized problems. A method combining the new ranked-based roulette wheel selection algorithm with Pareto-based population ranking algorithm, named nondominated ranking genetic algorithm (NRGA), has been presented to find nondominated solutions in a reasonable time. Various operators and parameters of the proposed algorithm are reviewed to calibrate the algorithm by means of the Taguchi method. A number of numerical examples are solved to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The solutions obtained via NRGA are compared against solutions obtained via ε-constraint method in small-sized problems. Experimental results show that the proposed NRGA is competitive in terms of the quality and diversity of solutions in medium- and large-sized problems.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to examine memory for emotional trait adjectives in depressed children and adolescents. Two groups of children and adolescents, clinically depressed participants and non-clinical controls, were compared on computerized versions of recall and recognition memory tasks. Three groups of words (positive trait adjectives, negative trait adjectives, and categorized neutral words) were used in the experiment. Results showed that the depressed group recalled significantly more negative adjectives than positive adjectives, whereas the control group recalled the same number of positive and negative adjectives. This effect was predicted by the association between age and level of depression, with the depression-related bias becoming stronger with age. Signal detection analysis revealed that the depressed group did not show any bias in the recognition task. The findings are discussed with respect to cognitive theories of depression with consideration of the developmental implications.  相似文献
