A laboratory‐scale packed column was positioned on a six degree of freedom swell simulation hexapod to emulate the hydrodynamics of packed bed scrubbers/reactors onboard offshore floating systems. The bed was instrumented with wire mesh capacitance sensors to measure liquid saturation and velocity fields, flow regime transition, liquid maldistribution, and tracer radial and axial dispersion patterns while robot was subject to sinusoidal translation (sway, heave) and rotation (roll, roll + pitch, yaw) motions at different frequencies. Three metrics were defined to analyze the deviations induced by the various column motions, namely, coefficient of variation and degree of uniformity for liquid saturation fluctuating fields, and effective Péclet number. Nontilting oscillations led to frequency‐independent maldistribution while tilting motions induced swirl/zigzag secondary circulation and prompted nonuniform maldistribution oscillations that deteriorated with decreasing frequencies. Regardless of excited degree of freedom, a qualitative loss of plug‐flow character was observed compared with static vertical beds which worsened as frequencies decreased. © 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 61: 2354–2367, 2015  相似文献

In this article, a powder‐bed class of additive manufacturing (AM) is incorporated into the manufacturing of graphene nanocomposite 3D structures. For AM of graphene‐based 3D structures, graphene oxide (GO)/hydroxyapatite (Hap) nanocomposite (GHN) was synthesized at different GO to Hap percentage (wt.%), including 0.2% and 0.4% to develop a printable powder. The synthesized powder was utilized in a powder‐bed AM system to fabricate 3D porous structures of GHN powder. It was shown that at layer thickness of 125 μm and core binder saturation level of 400%, the compressive mechanical strength of the samples with higher content of graphene was improved significantly.  相似文献

In this work, ternary polymer blends based on (polyamide 6)/(poly[styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile])/(poly[styrene‐b‐{ethylene‐co‐butylene}‐b‐styrene]) (SEBS) triblock copolymer and a varying concentration of the reactive (maleic anhydride)‐grafted SEBS were prepared by using a melt‐blending process. The effects of the material parameters (composition of ternary blends and SEBS/[{maleic anhydride}‐grafted SEBS] concentration ratio) and blending sequence on the morphological and mechanical properties of ternary blends were studied. Taguchi experimental design methodology was employed to design the experiments and select the material and processing parameters for the optimized mechanical properties. Tensile properties (Young's modulus and yield stress) and impact strength were considered as the response variables. It was demonstrated that there is a meaningful relationship between the composition of blends, processing parameters, observed phase structure, and obtained mechanical properties. The mechanical tests showed that the highest impact strength was achieved as the dispersion of the rubbery phase achieved an optimum size of about 1 μm. J. VINYL ADDIT. Exploiting vegetable oils to produce industrially valuable diacids via an eco‐friendly process requires an efficient and recyclable catalyst. In this work, a novel catalytic system based on organo‐modified molybdenum trioxide was synthesized by a green hydrothermal method in one simple step, using Mo powder as precursor, hydrogen peroxide, and amphiphilic surfactants cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and tetramethylammonium bromide (TMAB) as capping agents. The synthesized materials were first characterized by different techniques including XRD, SEM, TGA, and FT‐IR. Interestingly, various morphologies were obtained depending on the nature of the surfactants and synthetic conditions. The synthesized catalysts were employed in oxidative cleavage of oleic acid, the most abundant unsaturated fatty acid, to produce azelaic and pelargonic acids with a benign oxidant, H2O2. Excellent catalytic activities resulting in full conversion of initial oleic acid were obtained, particularly for CTAB‐capped molybdenum oxide (CTAB/Mo molar ratio of 1:3) that gave 83 and 68% yields of production of azelaic and pelargonic acids, respectively. These are the highest yields that have been obtained for this reaction by heterogeneous catalysts up to now. Moreover, the CTAB‐capped catalyst could be conveniently separated from the reaction mixture by simple centrifugation and reused without significant loss of activity up to at least four cycles.  相似文献

Determination of diffusion coefficients of pure compounds in air is of great interest for modeling of air pollution control processes. In this communication, a Group Contribution (GC) method is applied to represent/predict the molecular diffusivity of chemical compounds in air at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. 4661 compounds from various chemical families have been investigated to propose a comprehensive and predictive model. The final model is resulted from coupling the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with group contributions. Using this dedicated model, we obtain satisfactory results quantified by the following statistical results: Squared Correlation Coefficient=0.995, Standard Deviation Error=0.02, and Average Absolute Deviation=1.4% for the calculated/predicted properties from existing experimental values.  相似文献

非线性有限元模型的拓展与验证在相关的论文(Son J,Fam A.中空管以及混凝土填充纤维复合管的有限元模型:第一部分——抗弯模型拓展与验证)中已被用于研究部分填充混凝土纤维增强复合材料线杆的抗弯性能。为提高抗弯强度和稳定性,建议采用部分填充厚壁管来降低造价。对不同直径与厚度比以及不同分层结构的悬臂单杆进行混凝土部分填充长度优化。研究发现,当下列任意一种情况出现时,优化长度会减少:当直径与厚度比变小时;当纤维角度相对于弯曲管纵向轴夹角增加时;当弯曲管中纵向纤维减少时;当采用侧向分布荷载代替端部集中荷载时。建立了计算中空管和混凝土填充FRP管承载力矩的简单表达式,基于同时发生在中空管和混凝土填充管处的破坏,结合简单的设计方法体系来优化混凝土填充管的长度。同时提出了计算锥形线杆的程序。  相似文献

从1994年北岭地震中可看到,栓焊节点的抗震性能较差。因此,常用于工业建筑和高层建筑中的抗弯框架多采用端板连接和T型螺栓连接。采用有限元方法,通过改变螺栓的纵横布置对比了14个试件的滞回性能。结果表明:假定两者总的耗能能力相同,则T型螺栓连接的抗弯能力和初始转动刚度均比基于AISC规范设计的端板螺栓连接高。在往复荷载作用下,螺栓布置的改变对T型螺栓连接破坏模式的影响要大于端板连接,端板连接更适用于具有初始几何缺陷的结构。  相似文献

This paper offers a recurrent neural network to support vector machine (SVM) learning in stochastic support vector regression with probabilistic constraints. The SVM is first converted into an equivalent quadratic programming (QP) formulation in linear and nonlinear cases. An artificial neural network for SVM learning is then proposed. The presented neural network framework guarantees obtaining the optimal solution of the SVM problem. The existence and convergence of the trajectories of the network are studied. The Lyapunov stability for the considered neural network is also shown. The efficiency of the proposed method is shown by three illustrative examples.

This paper presents a new and innovative optimization technique, which uses cellular automata for solving multi-objective optimization problems. Due to its ability in simulating the local information while taking neighboring effects into account, the cellular automata technique is a powerful tool for optimization. The fuel-loading pattern in nuclear reactor cores is a major optimization problem. Due to the immensity of the search space in fuel management optimization problems, finding the optimum solution requires a huge amount of calculations in the classical method. The cellular automata models, based on local information, can reduce the computations significantly. In this study, reducing the power peaking factor, while increasing the initial excess reactivity inside the reactor core of VVER-1000, which are two apparently contradictory objectives, are considered as the objective functions. The result is an optimum configuration, which is in agreement with the pattern proposed by the designer. In order to gain confidence in the reliability of this method, the aforementioned problem was also solved using neural network and simulated annealing, and the results and procedures were compared.  相似文献

In order to prepare a specific melanocortin type 2 receptor (MC2R) ligand, b1-24-corticotrophin was pre-pared in one-step reaction with [18F] SFB and b-1-24-corticotrophin pharmaceutical solution (1 mg/mL, pH=6.5). [18F]SFB was prepared in a semi-automated module in two steps with an overall radiochemical yield of 47% to EOB (not-decay corrected) in 90 min. The 18F-labeled intermediates and 18F-labeled peptide was checked by RTLC and HPLC. The results show that the radiochemical purity is >95% and the yield to EOB (not-decay corrected) is 29% for final 18F-labeled peptide at optimized conditions. Preliminary in vivo studies in normal mice were performed to deter-mine biodistribution of the 18F-labeled peptide for 150 min. The results show that the major tracer uptake is consistent with the natural distribution of MC2R receptors in mammals. Testes/blood and testes/muscle ratios for 18F-labeled peptide at 150 min were 184 and 1.56, respectively, and adipocyte/blood and adipocyte/muscle ratios at 120 min were 221 and 142, respectively. The data support the specific receptor binding of the radiolabeled peptide as reported for MC2R receptor accumulation in adipocytes and testes and demonstrates the retention of biological activity of the pep-tide. This tracer can be used in detection of MC2R distribution in malignancies and sex organ diseases.  相似文献
