A new and facile method to prepare large‐area silver‐coated silicon nanowire arrays for surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)‐based sensing is introduced. High‐quality silicon nanowire arrays are prepared by a chemical etching method and used as a template for the generation of SERS‐active silver‐coated silicon nanowire arrays. The morphologies of the silicon nanowire arrays and the type of silver‐plating solution are two key factors determining the magnitude of SERS signal enhancement and the sensitivity of detection; they are investigated in detail for the purpose of optimization. The optimized silver‐coated silicon nanowire arrays exhibit great potential for ultrasensitive molecular sensing in terms of high SERS signal enhancement ability, good stability, and reproducibility. Their further applications in rapidly detecting molecules relating to human health and safety are discussed. A 10 s data acquisition time is capable of achieving a limit of detection of approximately 4 × 10?6 M calcium dipicolinate (CaDPA), a biomarker for anthrax. This value is 1/15 the infectious dose of spores (6 × 10?5 M required), revealing that the optimized silver‐coated silicon nanowire arrays as SERS‐based ultrasensitive sensors are extremely suitable for detecting Bacillus anthracis spores. 相似文献

Design of TE01Δ Test Probe for Measuring the Microwave Surface Resistance of HTS Thin Film 下载免费PDF全文
A new TE01 test probe with proper transmission factor is fabricated for the measurement of surface resistance of high temperature superconductor (HTS) thin film. Coupling holes instead of coupling loops are used in the probe for its easier machining and relatively low loss. Two 6 mm3 mm8 mm dielectric waveguides, one side of them is coated by silver, are used for coupling. The measurement result of S21 agrees well with the simulation because the size of the probe can be rigidly controlled by machine. The microwave surface resistance of four YBCO/MgO films are measured at 77 K and 12 GHz and scaled to 10 GHz according to the f2 rule. The average surface resistance of four HTS thin films is 0.38 m, the standard deviation and relative standard deviation of one single HTS thin film are 0.009 m and 2.4%, respectively. 相似文献

We report the growth mechanism, cathodoluminescence and field emission of dual phase ZnS tetrapod tree‐like heterostructures. This novel heterostructures consist of two phases: zinc blende for the trunk and hexagonal wurtzite for the branch. Direct evidence is presented for the polarity induced growth of tetrapod ZnS trees through high‐resolution electron microscopy study, demonstrating that Zn‐terminated ZnS (111)/(0001) polar surface is chemically active and S‐terminated ( )/(000 ) polar surface is inert in the growth of tetrapod ZnS trees. Two strong UV emissions centered at 3.68 and 3.83 eV have been observed at room temperature, which are attributed to the bandgap emissions from the zinc blende trunk and hexagonal wurtzite branch, indicating that such structures can be used as unique electromechanical and optoelectronic components in potential light sources, laser and light emitting display devices. In addition, the low turn‐on field (2.66 Vµm−1), high field‐enhancement factor (over 2600), large current density (over 30 mAcm−2 at a macroscopic field of 4.33 Vµm−1) and small fluctuation (∼1%) further indicate the availability of ZnS tetrapod tree‐like heterostructures for field emission panel display. This excellent field‐emission property is attributed to the specific crystallographic feature with high crystallinity and cone‐shape patterned branch with nanometer‐sized tips.
