Electrohydraulic actuators are an attractive choice for active suspension, because these systems provide a high power‐to‐weight ratio. However, their dynamics are highly nonlinear. In addition, the use of one simple controller for both position and force is complicated, because there is a compromise between them in the case of active suspension. Most existing controllers do not efficiently fulfill the requirements, because only one state variable is considered. In this paper, we address these problems by developing a new hybrid controller for both position and force and implementing it in a real‐time test bench. Our goal is to control the vertical position of the passenger seat while tracking the force transmitted to passengers and keeping it within tolerable and comfortable limits. Therefore, the proposed controller is a combination of two controllers. Its flexible structure redirects the control signal to control the proper controlled state variable. The real‐time results of the newly designed hybrid controller are compared with those obtained using a classical proportional integral derivative controller, because this is the most widely used controller in the industry. Synthetic sapphire and yttria-stabilized zirconia single-crystals were irradiated by increasing doses of γ-radiation to study the changes of their optical properties. The optical transparency of -Al2O3 was nearly constant up to the γ-radiation dose of 150 kGy for the spectral range of 400–1000 nm, while yellowish-brown coloration of (Zr0.89Y0.11)O1.94 appeared for irradiation above 1 kGy. However, after a short-term heating in the temperature of 210oC stable discoloration of zirconia can be achieved.  相似文献

The output of a pesticide surveillance program (detection frequency and number of exceeding measures) can lead to unnecessary concern among consumers since they lack information concerning the actual exposure. In this study, the exposure to pesticide residues through fruit and vegetable consumption is evaluated based on the 2008 surveillance data of the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC).Results (deterministic and probabilistic approach) demonstrate that the chronic exposure of the adult population (>15 years) is generally under control, even at high or frequent consumption of fruit and vegetables. For most of the pesticide residues studied, the exposure is one hundred times lower than the ‘acceptable daily intake’ or ADI. With regard to children (2–5 years) who consume regularly or large amounts of fruit and vegetables, there are however, indications that for some pesticides the ADI can be exceeded. Nevertheless, due to the large uncertainty in these calculations, a more detailed study is required for this vulnerable group of consumers. In addition, it was demonstrated that washing and peeling of fruit and vegetables result in an exposure that is probably five to six times lower.  相似文献

The fast pacing diversity and evolution of wireless communications require a wide variety of baseband implementations within a short time-to-market. Besides, the exponentially increased design complexity and design cost of deep sub-micron silicon highly desire the designs to be reused as much as possible. This yields an increasing demand for reconfigurable/ programmable baseband solutions. Implementing all baseband functionalities on programmable architectures, as foreseen in the tier-2 SDR, will become necessary in the future. However, the energy efficiency of SDR baseband platforms is a major concern. This brings a challenging gap that is continuously broadened by the exploding baseband complexity. We advocate a system level approach to bridge the gap. Specifically, we fully leverage the advantages (programmability) of SDR platforms to compensate its disadvantages (energy efficiency). Highly flexible and dynamic baseband signal processing algorithms are designed and implemented to exploit the abundant dynamics in the environment and the user requirement. Instead of always performing the best effort, the baseband can dynamically and autonomously adjust its work load to optimize the average energy consumption. In this paper, we will introduce such baseband signal processing techniques optimized for SDR implementations. The methodology and design steps will be presented together with 3 representative case studies in HSDPA, WiMAX and 3GPP LTE.  相似文献

Methicillin‐sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) bacteremia is a leading cause of infection in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Cloxacillin, cefazolin, and vancomycin are the mainstay antimicrobials. Cloxacillin administration leads to frequent drug dosing, longer length of stay (LOS), and higher cost, while resistance and poorer outcomes are associated with vancomycin use. Dosing cefazolin during HD allows for prolonged blood therapeutic levels. We assessed the outcomes and safety of a strategy of treating MSSA bacteremia with 2–3 g cefazolin on HD only. All HD patients with MSSA bacteremia admitted in June–December 2009 at our center and receiving this regime were compared with historical controls who received cloxacillin. Demographic characteristics and outcome measures like mortality, LOS, cost, recrudescence, and adverse drug reactions were assessed. Of 27 consecutive episodes reviewed, 14 and 13 patients received cefazolin and cloxacillin, respectively. Baseline demographics were comparable between the 2 treatment groups. More than one‐third of the bacteremia was related to tunneled catheter infection. The 30‐day mortality of cloxacillin‐ and cefazolin‐treated patients was 15% and 7%, respectively (P=0.14). Two of the 11 survivors treated with cloxacillin (18%) had recrudescent bacteremia while none was observed in cefazolin‐treated survivors. Cefazolin was associated with shorter LOS (10 vs. 20 days, P<0.05) and lower cost (US$8262.00 vs. US$15,367.00, P<0.05). Cefazolin use resulted in 3 idiosyncratic adverse drug reactions. Cefazolin dosed on each HD in MSSA bacteremia leads to earlier discharge and less cost. Larger prospective studies are, however, warranted to fully assess its safety and efficacy.  相似文献

Strontium (Sr) containing rare‐earth oxysilicate apatite AI4AII6(SiO4)6O2 is considered a good matrix to accommodate radionuclide as its cation sites can incorporate lanthanide elements other than Sr. Here, we report a study on the synthesis of Nd8Sr2(SiO4)6O2 and Yb8Sr2(SiO4)6O2, which adopt P63/m apatite symmetry, as well as the characterization of crystallographic structures using X‐ray diffraction and electron microscopy. It is found that AI position is shared by Nd, Yb and Sr, and AIO6 polyhedra are face‐connected, forming column structures, which are linked to SiO4 tetrahedra, creating continuous channels. The Rietveld refinement shows that Nd and Yb prefer the AII position in the channel. The twisted angle of adjacent triangle faces in an AI‐O polyhedron along [001] is a critical parameter to identify the channel volume and its value varies when different cations are incorporated. The twisted angles for Nd‐apatite and Yb are 24.2° and 22.7° The findings provide a new insight into nuclear waste stabilization by apatite‐type structure.  相似文献

A novel process concept for the oxidative coupling of methane followed by the oligomerization to liquids has been developed within the frame of the EU integrated project OCMOL. This technology is based on process intensification principles via cutting‐edge structured microreactor technology. It is also a fully integrated industrial process through the re‐use and the recycling of by‐products, in particular CO2, at every process stage. The focus of this contribution is on the reaction engineering aspects of the core steps, i.e., catalysts, kinetics and reactor design for the methane coupling and reforming.  相似文献

In this work, we have investigated by differential scanning calorimetry the enthalpy relaxation of two poly[methyl(α-n-alkyl)acrylates] in which it is possible to change the length of the two alkyl chains. In particular, we have evaluated the Narayanaswamy parameter, which controls relative contribution of temperature and of structure to the relaxation times, by two methods: Grenet's method (GM) and the peak-shift method (PSM). The data obtained show that both methods lead to equivalent results. Nevertheless, PSM requires fewer experiments than GM, and PSM appears to be more practical. The results obtained on the two acrylates show that the parameter x increases with the lateral chain length, that is to say, that the temperature effects increase as the length of the alkyl chain is increased.  相似文献
