An adaptive version of the basic delta modulator employing full-width pulses and RC integration has been designed. A digital technique is used to sense the level of the input signal and to control the amplitude of the pulses supplied to the RC integrator in the feedback circuit. For an 800 Hz sinewave input a signal/quantisation-noise ratio of 32 dB has been obtained over a dynamic input range of 30 dB.  相似文献

Seed micromorphological and macromorphological characteristics of 12 taxa of Caesalpiniaceae from Pakistan have been studied, using light and scanning electron microscopy, to investigate the importance of seed coat features as a taxonomic tool. Great variations have been observed in color, shape, dimension, and seed surface pattern among the different genera of the family. A taxonomic key was prepared for the studied taxa. Six types of seed shapes were observed; circular, elliptical, irregular, oblong, oval, and ovoid. All examined seeds were hard except fragile seeds of Haematoxylom campechianum. Eight types of surface ornamentation have been noticed that include levigate, lugose, papillate, reticulate, reticulate irregular, reticulate regular, rhombus, and rogues. Majority of the taxa has been observed with thick ornamentation wall but thin ornamentation wall has also been recorded in few species. Fracture line of the various patterns was present in all taxa except genus Bauhinia. Three types of texture crudeness; coarse, medium, and fine have been recorded. Both micromorphological and macromorphological characters of seed are very fruitful in identification and classification of Caesalpiniaceae.  相似文献

The production of biogas has been a substantial target to be utilized globally, especially in the agricultural sector. Most organic waste that is being produced from other forms of renewable energy systems is mainly used to reduce greenhouse emission (GHG), which as well reduces the daily consumption of fossil fuels. Anaerobic Digestion (AD) has been studied widely in recent years where its implementation in the industry has seen a mitigating impact on greenhouse gases. Unrestricted discharge of the big amount of waste food (WF) has become the main effect of severe environmental pollution worldwide. Among the various treatment methods, anaerobic digestion (AD) of waste food allows its valorization and the biogas produced can be used as biofuel enhancing the gas supply. In this study, a mechanical pre-treatment with Hollander beater has been applied to break down the particle size of waste food in the way to increase feedstock specific surface areas in other to enhance biogas production. Following, the pre-treatment of waste food during 30 min beating time, the biogas yield achieved a value of about 610.33 ml/gTS. Accordingly, a response surface methodology (RSM) can be used to critically evaluate the effects of process parameter (beating time and temperature) to the output response (biogas production). Pre-treated waste food by Hollander beater at beating time of 30 min enhances biogas production by 80%. An optimum biogas yield was achieved with pre-treatment of waste food at a beating time of 30 min.  相似文献

The density of heat transfer rate from a vertical array of flat tubes in cross flow is maximized under fixed pressure drop using constructal design. With the constructal design, the tube arrangement is found such that the heat currents from the tubes to the coolant flow easily. The constraint in the present constructal design is the volume where the tubes are arranged inside it. The two degrees of freedom available inside the volume are the tube‐to‐tube spacing and the length of the flat part of the tubes (tube flatness). The tubes are heated with constant surface temperature. The equations of continuity, momentums, and energy for steady, two‐dimensional, and laminar forced convection are solved by means of a finite‐volume method. The ranges of the present study are Bejan number (dimensionless pressure drop) (103Be ≤ 105) and tube flatness (dimensionless length of the tube flat part) (0 ≤ F ≤ 0.8). The coolant used is air with Prandtl number (Pr = 0.72). The results reveal that the maximum heat transfer density decreases when the tube flatness decreases at constant Bejan number. At constant tube flatness, the heat transfer density increases as the dimensionless pressure drop (Bejan number) increases. Also, the optimal tube‐to‐tube spacing is constant, irrespective of the tube flatness at constant Bejan number.  相似文献

Using black coatings and materials with high light absorbance that are capable of absorbing photons at visible and longer wavelengths is a very effective way to reduce unwanted stray light, also known as optical noise, within optical equipment. These lights can be greatly reduced to a reasonable level by functional and performable black coatings that are modified to absorb incident light as much as possible by their specific pigments. In the present work, several carbonaceous pigments were synthesized for the first time from wasteful materials and their optical properties in the visible and near‐infrared ranges studied. First, MCM‐48 and SBA‐15 were synthesized at different conditions and were then used as templates for carbonaceous products. SSS‐1 (the carbonic pigment synthesized by the mixture of sucrose and sodium silicate), SSS‐2 (the carbonic pigment synthesized by the mixture of sawdust and sodium silicate), and mesoporous carbon pigments (CMK‐3 and CMK‐1 with different levels of saturations) were synthesized. Finally, their structure, morphology, and optical properties were investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE‐SEM), and Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS). The results indicated that the SSS‐1 pigment had a lower reflectance (below 1%) than carbon black (about 2.5%) in the visible region despite it being more cost‐effective than carbon black. The mesoporous pigments showed very high light absorbance in the visible region (about 2.5%). Compared with other black pigments, the CMK‐1 was the blackest synthesized material with a very low reflectance (about 0.05% in visible region), making it an ideal candidate as a super black pigment for reducing unwanted stray light within optical equipment.  相似文献

The mobile cloud computing (MCC) has enriched the quality of services that the clients access from remote cloud‐based servers. The growth in the number of wireless users for MCC has further augmented the requirement for a robust and efficient authenticated key agreement mechanism. Formerly, the users would access cloud services from various cloud‐based service providers and authenticate one another only after communicating with the trusted third party (TTP). This requirement for the clients to access the TTP during each mutual authentication session, in earlier schemes, contributes to the redundant latency overheads for the protocol. Recently, Tsai et al have presented a bilinear pairing based multi‐server authentication (MSA) protocol, to bypass the TTP, at least during mutual authentication. The scheme construction works fine, as far as the elimination of TTP involvement for authentication has been concerned. However, Tsai et al scheme has been found vulnerable to server spoofing attack and desynchronization attack, and lacks smart card‐based user verification, which renders the protocol inapt for practical implementation in different access networks. Hence, we have proposed an improved model designed with bilinear pairing operations, countering the identified threats as posed to Tsai scheme. Additionally, the proposed scheme is backed up by performance evaluation and formal security analysis.  相似文献

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) consist of hundreds of miniature sensor nodes to sense various events in the surrounding environment and report back to the base station. Sensor networks are at the base of internet of things (IoT) and smart computing applications where a function is performed as a result of sensed event or information. However, in resource‐limited WSN authenticating a remote user is a vital security concern. Recently, researchers put forth various authentication protocols to address different security issues. Gope et al presented a protocol claiming resistance against known attacks. A thorough analysis of their protocol shows that it is vulnerable to user traceability, stolen verifier, and denial of service (DoS) attacks. In this article, an enhanced symmetric key‐based authentication protocol for IoT‐based WSN has been presented. The proposed protocol has the ability to counter user traceability, stolen verifier, and DoS attacks. Furthermore, the proposed protocol has been simulated and verified using Proverif and BAN logic. The proposed protocol has the same communication cost as the baseline protocol; however, in computation cost, it has 52.63% efficiency as compared with the baseline protocol.  相似文献

In this article, a compact dual layer leaky wave antenna array is simulated and constructed using the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based on the TE20 mode at the X‐ and Ku‐bands. The proposed antenna is designed by creating dumbbell‐shaped slots on the upper layer of the SIW. These slots have increased the antenna bandwidth so that the proposed antenna has a bandwidth of 9.5 to 13.7 GHz and a fractional bandwidth of 36%. In addition, to excite the TE20 mode, an SIW power divider is used in the feeding network of the antenna located in the bottom layer. Moreover, the gain and directivity are other advantages of the proposed antenna so that at 12.5 GHz the antenna peak gain reaches to 15.7 dB. Antenna beam scanning angle is from 5° to 81°. This antenna is simulated and analyzed by the CST Microwave Studio software. The obtained results from the antenna test lab confirm the simulation results.  相似文献
