A study was carried out to see if the potential of renewable energy sources other than hy droelectric power, such as wind, photovoltaic, solar thermal, biomass and waste energy sources, can meet the current energy consumption in Yakushima. The current electricity consumption can be covered by wind and photovoltaic energy sources. The total potential of wind and photovoltaic energy sources is 5.4 times as much as the current electricity consumption. LP gas and kerosene can be replaced by solar thermal and biogas energy. The potential of plant biomass and municipal waste is not sufficient (approximately one third) to cover the rest of the fossil fuels (gasoline, diesel oil and heavy oil). Also, plant biomass and municipal waste must be converted into fluid form. This shortage can be covered by the po tential of wind and photovoltaic energy sources. We also investigated the possibility of tourism expansion using the potential of wind and photovoltaic energy sources. Taking into account three types of capacity (energy, accommodation and transportation), Yakushima can accept approximately four times as many tourists as the current number of tourists. 相似文献

DNA methylation of both viral and host DNA is one of the major mechanisms involved in the development of Epstein–Barr virus-associated gastric carcinoma (EBVaGC); thus, epigenetic treatment using demethylating agents would seem to be promising. We have verified the effect of , which was discovered by screening for demethylating agents. MC180295 inhibited cell growth of the EBVaGC cell lines YCCEL1 and SNU719 in a dose-dependent manner. In a cell cycle analysis, growth arrest and apoptosis were observed in both YCCEL1 and SNU719 cells treated with MC180295. MKN28 cells infected with EBV were sensitive to MC180295 and showed more significant inhibition of cell growth compared to controls without EBV infection. Serial analysis of gene expression analysis showed the expression of genes belonging to the role of BRCA1 in DNA damage response and cell cycle control chromosomal replication to be significantly reduced after MC180295 treatment. We confirmed with quantitative PCR that the expression levels of BRCA2, FANCM, RAD51, TOP2A, and CDC45 were significantly decreased by MC180295. LMP1 and BZLF1 are EBV genes with expression that is epigenetically regulated, and MC180295 could up-regulate their expression. The vapor phase Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime (CHO) over solid acid catalysts including zeolites was carried out to elucidate the effects of the acid strength and the micropore size of the catalysts on the selectivity of -caprolactam (CL) and the catalyst deactivation rate. It was found that the catalyst deactivation rate was strongly dependent on the acid strength of the acid catalysts. The improvement of catalyst life was achieved by using MFI-type metallosilicates having weak acid sites. The CL selectivity decreased over the acid catalysts with micropores larger than those of the MFI zeolites. Furthermore, using methanol and carbon dioxide as the diluent solvent and diluent gas improved CL selectivity and catalyst life, respectively. 相似文献

We examine two-spin (2S) and cyclic four-spin (4S) magnetic interactions in insulating ladder and two-dimensional (2D) cuprates. By a comparison of eigenstates between d-p and Heisenberg models, we evaluate magnitudes of these interactions. We find that the 4S interaction is 10 % of nearest neighboring 2S interaction, and a diagonal 2S interaction is considerably small. The 4S interaction for a ladder cuprate is larger than that for 2D one, and plays an important role in the low-energy excitation. The Heisenberg ladder with the obtained 2S and 4S interactions reproduces very well the experimental result of the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. 相似文献

The fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm has been well studied for equal weight distributions on a finite set. Suppose that this situation is generalized to an arbitrary probability distribution on a finite dimensional Euclidean space, assuming that the second moment of the distribution is finite. Now choose ever larger finite random samples from this distribution and compute the standard optimal membership functions for a fuzzy partition into c clusters. Then the convergence of the cluster center points is established in the Hausdorff sense with probability one, provided that there is a unique optimal center point set. These optimal center points are the fixed point of a simple operator, and there is a corresponding iterative algorithm that generalizes the usual procedure. 相似文献

A new method proposes to synthesize organic-inorganic fused materials based on the methods of supercritical hydrothermal synthesis.
By introducing organic materials in a reaction atmosphere of supercritical hydrothermal synthesis, we successfully synthesized
metal oxide nanoparticles whose surface was modified with organic materials. In supercritical state, water and organic materials
form a homogeneous phase, which provides an excellent reaction atmosphere for the organic modification of nanoparticles. Modification
with bio-materials including amino acids was also possible. By changing organic modifiers, particle morphology and crystal
structure were changed.
This organic surface modification provides a various unique characteristics for the nanoparticles: Dispersion of nanoparticles

In this paper, we deal with the control method for rotational movements of a pendulum using a separatrix. We design a controller that attains a homoclinic motion or a heteroclinic motion of the pendulum and the asymptotic stability of the cart by using a kind of forwarding control design. First, we derive a controller that converges to a homoclinic orbit via a Lyapunov function of the pendulum subsystem. Next, we give a nonlinear stabilizing controller via another Lyapunov function of the cart subsystem. Moreover, using the third Lyapunov function and adding a complementary control input, we guarantee that the pendulum converges to the homoclinic orbit and the cart is stabilized. Finally, the simulation and the experiment using the rapid controller prototyping system based on MATLAB/Simulink are performed to demonstrate the forward upward circling and the giant swing of the pendulum. 相似文献

Centrifugal pumps are generally employed as nonpulsatile blood flow pumps; however, these pumps can produce pulsatile flow by periodically alternating the impeller rotation speed. This study investigates blood trauma due to the effect of pulse frequency and various ranges of pump speed. The hemolysis tests were conducted using the Gyro C1E3 pump. The study was divided into the following categories: Group 1 in a nonpulsatile mode; Group 2 operated at 40 bpm with 30% of speed variance; Group 3, 60 bpm with 30% of speed variance; Group 4, 40 bpm with 70% of speed variance; and Group 5, 60 bpm with 70% of speed variance. A flow rate of 3 L/min and a total pressure head of 200 mm Hg were employed in all groups to simulate a percutaneous cardiopulmonary support condition. There were no significant differences in the hemolysis levels among Groups 1, 2, and 3. However, Groups 4 and 5 exhibited a significantly higher hemolysis rate compared to the other groups. These results indicate that a high rate of speed variance increases hemolysis; however, a range of less than 30% does not affect hemolysis. The pulse rate has no significant effect on hemolysis. In conclusion, the higher speed variance increases the hemolysis level when a pulsatile mode is applied with a centrifugal pump at the given test conditions. However, a speed variance of less than 30% or a pulse rate of less than 60 bpm does not affect hemolysis. 相似文献
