MEASUREMENT OF COEFFICIENTS FOB SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN FOOD PRODUCTS

Two experimental devices were designed and built to determine four coefficients K_T K_M D_M D (or δ_T = D_T / D_M occurring in simultaneous heat and mass transfer equations, where,K _T and D_M are thermal conductivity and moisture diffcusivity respectively, D_T ( or δ _T is temperature gradient Induced moisture migration coefficient and K_M is moisture gradient Induced heat transfer coefficient. Three food materials, i.e. potato, bread dough and bread, were tested. From this study, it was found that the value of 5 was higher for low density food materials, such as bread, than for high density materials, such as potato. The coefficient & measures moisture migration contribution due to temperature gradient within the material. The average values of δ _T for potato, bread dough and bread were 0.0014, 0.0059 and 0.0127 per °C, respectively. The contribution of temperature gradient to the overall moisture migration is negligible In high density materials. However, this contribution may be important in the moisture migratlon analysls for low density materials. The moisture gradient induced heat transfer coefficient % as found to be negligible for the materials tested in this study     

Prognostic factors of primary liver cancer

To investigate the prognostic factors of primary liver cancer (PLC) and improve the long-term results, 1,248 cases of PLC were analysed. Univariate analysis demonstrated that discovery approach, staging of PLC, original gamma-GPT, resection, radical resection, original AFP, tumor size, tumor number, and tumor capsule have very significant effects on prognosis of PLC (all P < 0.001); cirrhosis, HBsAg, local resection, and tumor embolus in portal vein were also significant difference (all P < 0.05); age, sex, original AFP, hepatitis, and differentiation of PLC cells were no significant difference (all P > 0.05). Multivariate analysis demonstrated that original gamma-GPT, radical resection, tumor size, and tumor number were the most significant prognostic factors (all P < 0.001). Some aspects improving long-term survival were discussed.     

MNav: A Markov Model-Based Web Site Navigability Measure

Web site success is significantly associated with navigability, an important attribute of usability that denotes the ease with which users find desired information as they move through a Web site. Navigable Web sites allow users to form a mental model of the type and location of information in the Web site and an expectation of where and to what a particular hyperlink will lead. Existing navigability measures are based mainly on the static hyperlink structure of a Web site. Such measures, however, have two main drawbacks: 1) the effect on navigability of a hyperlink structure cannot be well characterized and 2) the effect on navigability of the navigation aids (such as the "Back" button provided by a browser) is ignored. In this paper, we abstract a dynamic Web surfing behavior as a Markov model which synthesizes typical surfing actions. Based on this model, we propose a novel navigability measure MNav. The experimental results show that MNav can be efficiently computed and it provides an effective and useful measurement of Web site navigability.     

Accurate Depth of Field Simulation in Real Time

We present a new post processing method of simulating depth of field based on accurate calculations of circles of confusion. Compared to previous work, our method derives actual scene depth information directly from the existing depth buffer, requires no specialized rendering passes, and allows easy integration into existing rendering applications. Our implementation uses an adaptive, two‐pass filter, producing a high quality depth of field effect that can be executed entirely on the GPU, taking advantage of the parallelism of modern graphics cards and permitting real time performance when applied to large numbers of pixels.     

Handling degenerate cases in exact geodesic computation on triangle meshes

The computation of exact geodesics on triangle meshes is a widely used operation in computer-aided design and computer graphics. Practical algorithms for computing such exact geodesics have been recently proposed by Surazhsky et al. [5]. By applying these geometric algorithms to real-world data, degenerate cases frequently appear. In this paper we classify and enumerate all the degenerate cases in a systematic way. Based on the classification, we present solutions to handle all the degenerate cases consistently and correctly. The common users may find the present techniques useful when they implement a robust code of computing exact geodesic paths on meshes.     

旋风燃烧器冷态模型内颗粒运动轨迹计算

在冷态模型流场内，考虑气流对粉煤颗粒的气动阻力，建立其运动微分方程式。通过计算，得到九种粒径的颗粒在流场中的运动轨迹、停留时间、着膜位置和气－固相相对速度与该燃烧器几何参数和气动参数的关系，为燃烧器的深入研究提出了建议。     

石膏制品防水防潮剂的研制与开发

本文提出采用高分子有机材料配合，生产石膏制品防水防潮剂的生产方法和工艺。该剂还可以应用到氧化镁系列板材，同时提出开发珠光或彩色防水防潮剂，能达到满足的装饰效果，值提开发推广。     

利用热管纺丝技术一步法生产FCY

利用平板型热管纺丝装置对普通高速纺丝机进行技术改造，并一步法生产出充分结晶的ＰＥＴ纤维（ＦＣＹ）。该纤维可直接用于织造，调节热管温度、热管安装位置可获得满足后道工序不同需要的ＦＣＹ。
