Similarity measure of contents plays an important role in TV personalization, e.g., TV content group recommendation and similar TV content retrieval, which essentially are content clustering and example-based retrieval. We define similar TV contents to be those with similar semantic information, e.g., plot, background, genre, etc. Several similarity measure methods, notably vector space model based and category hierarchy model based similarity measure schemes, have been proposed for the purpose of data clustering and example-based retrieval. Each method has advantages and shortcomings of its own in TV content similarity measure. In this paper, we propose a hybrid approach for TV content similarity measure, which combines both vector space model and category hierarchy model. The hybrid measure proposed here makes the most of TV metadata information and takes advantage of the two similarity measurements. It measures TV content similarity from the semantic level other than the physical level. Furthermore, we propose an adaptive strategy for setting the combination parameters. The experimental results showed that using the hybrid similarity measure proposed here is superior to using either alone for TV content clustering and example-based retrieval.  相似文献

In most existing Wyner–Ziv video coding schemes, a feedback channel (FC) is expected at the decoder in order to allocate a proper bit rate for each Wyner–Ziv frame. However, FC not only results in additional latency but also increases decoding complexity due to the several feedback-decoding iterations. Moreover, FC may be unavailable in many practical video applications. In this paper, we propose a novel feedback-free rate-allocation scheme for transform domain Wyner–Ziv video coding (TD-WZVC), which predicts the rate for each Wyner–Ziv frame at the encoder without significantly increasing the complexity of the encoder. First, a correlation estimation model is presented to characterize the relationship between the source frame and the reference frame estimated at the encoder in TD-WZVC. Then, an efficient FC-free rate-allocation algorithm is proposed and a linear model is built to avoid both overestimation and underestimation of the real rate and obtain an optimal rate-distortion performance. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme is able to achieve a good encoder rate allocation while still maintaining consistent coding efficiency.  相似文献

This paper investigates robust mean‐square exponential stability of a class of uncertain stochastic state‐delayed systems with Lipschitz nonlinear stochastic perturbation. Based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) method and free‐weighting matrix technique, some new delay‐dependent stability conditions are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In order to reduce the conservatism, (1) the delay is divided into several segments, i.e. the delay decomposition method is applied; (2) cross terms estimation is avoided; (3) some information of the cross terms relationships which has not been involved in Reference (IET Control Theory Appl. 2008; 2(11):966–973) is considered. Moreover, from the mathematical point of view, the results obtained by free‐weighting matrix technique can be equivalently re‐formulated by simpler ones without involving any additional free matrix variables. This paper studies the problem of stabilizing a linear system with delayed and saturating feedback. It is known that the eigenstructure assignment‐based low‐gain feedback law (globally) stabilizes a linear system in the presence of arbitrarily large delay in its input, and semi‐globally stabilizes it when the input is also subject to saturation, as long as all its open‐loop poles are located in the closed left‐half plane. Based on a recently developed parametric Lyapunov equation‐based low‐gain feedback design method, this paper presents alternative, but simpler and more elegant, feedback laws that solve these problems. The advantages of this new approach include its simplicity, the capability of giving explicit conditions to guarantee the stability of the closed‐loop system, and the ease in scheduling the low‐gain parameter on line to achieve global stabilization in the presence of actuator saturation. We present an analytical framework for the performance analysis of CSMA/CA based wireless mesh networks. This framework can provide an accurate throughput-delay evaluation for both saturated and unsaturated cases. An efficient algorithm that determines the collision domain for each node based on both the interference range and routing in the network is presented. As another important application of this framework, we develop an analytic model that enables us to obtain closed form expressions for delay in terms of multipath routing variables. A flow-deviation algorithm is used to derive the optimal flow over a given set of routes for any number of classes. The model takes into account the effects of neighbor interference and hidden terminals, and tools are provided to make it feasible for the performance analysis and optimization of large-scale networks. Numerical results are presented for different network topologies and compared with simulation studies.  相似文献

With the merits such as hiding receiving, easy-deploying and high security, passive location has attracted more and more attention and plays an important role in fields as diverse as navigation, location, and tracking, etc. However, the current filters models for passive location methods are most under the framework of the probability theory, thus they can not estimate the state in some passive location with fuzzy uncertainty accurately. Although the fuzzy extended Kalman filter (FEKF) can deal with the fuzzy uncertainty, it unavoidably introduces truncation error. In this paper, based on the FEKF and the iterated extended Kalman filter (IEKF) principle, a new fuzzy passive location model is built, and moreover, an iterated fuzzy extended Kalman filter (IFEKF) is proposed for estimating the target state. Compared to the FEKF and the IEKF, the proposed algorithm can not only reduce the truncation error, but also deal with fuzzy uncertainty. Moreover, it is proved that the IFEKF update is an application of the Gauss–Newton method. Then, a fuzzy passive location algorithm is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach has better estimation precision than the traditional fuzzy extended Kalman filter.  相似文献
