When it comes to keeping the data routing robust and effective in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), stable and durable connectivity constitutes the keystone to ensure successful point‐to‐point communication. Since VANETs can comprise all kinds of mobile vehicles moving and changing direction frequently, this may result in frequent link failures and network partitions. Moreover, when VANETs are deployed in a city environment, another problem arises, that is, the existing obstructions (eg, buildings, trees, and hoppers) preventing the line‐of‐sight between vehicles, thus degrading wireless transmissions. Therefore, it is more complicated to design a routing technique that adapts to frequent changes in the topology. In order to settle all these problems, in this work, we design a flooding scheme that automatically reacts at each topology variation while overcoming the present obstacles while exchanging data in ad hoc mode with drones that are commonly called unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Also, the aim of this work is to explore well‐regulated routing paths providing a long lifetime connectivity based on the amount of traffic and the expiration time of each discovered path. A set of experiments is carried out using a simulation, and the outcomes are confronted with similar protocols based on a couple of metrics. The results clearly show that the assistance of UAVs to vehicles is capable of providing high delivery ratios and low delivery delays while efficiently extending the network connectivity.  相似文献

A novel approach, based on robust regression with normalized score fusion (namely Normalized Scores following Robust Regression Fusion: NSRRF), is proposed for enhancement of speaker recognition over IP networks, which can be used both in Network Speaker Recognition (NSR) and Distributed Speaker Recognition (DSR) systems. In this framework, it is basically assumed that the speech must be encoded by G729 coder in client side, and then, transmitted at a server side, where the ASR systems are located. The Universal Background Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM-UBM) and Gaussian Supervector (GMM-SVM) with normalized scores are used for speaker recognition. In this work, Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) and Linear Prediction Cepstral Coefficient (LPCC), both of these features are derived from Line Spectral Pairs (LSP) extracted from G729 bit-stream over IP, constitute the features vectors. Experimental results, conducted with the LIA SpkDet system based on the ALIZE platform3 using ARADIGITS database, have shown in first that the proposed method using features extracted directly from G729 bit-stream reduces significantly the error rate and outperforms the baseline system in ASR over IP based on the resynthesized (reconstructed) speech obtained from the G729 decoder. In addition, the obtained results show that the proposed approach, based on scores normalization following robust regression fusion technique, achieves the best result and outperform the conventional ASR over IP network.  相似文献

LTE/LTE-A networks have become widely exploited to address the increasing demands of mobile traffic. Relay technologies have recently been introduced to fulfill such requirements. Currently, the LTE-A relay standard is restricted to two-hop relaying. This architecture minimizes system complexity, but multi-hop relay architecture could potentially provide greater capacity and coverage in the future. However, many complexities of the multi-hop relaying paradigm must be resolved. In this work, we focus on downlink resource allocation and relay selection, by which a user may be connected to a base station through a multi-hop relay and have several relay stations from which to choose within his range. To overcome the additional challenges introduced by multi-hop relay nodes, we propose a dynamic joint resource allocation and relay selection scheme. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

Concentrations of polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins, and -dibenzofurans (PBDDs/Fs) and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, and -dibenzofurans (PCDDs/Fs), were determined in the pre- and post-air pollution control system (APCS) flue gas of a municipal waste combustor (MWC). Operational transients of the combustor were found to considerably increase levels of PBDDs/Fs and PCDDs/Fs compared to steady state operation, both for the raw and clean flue gas; ΣPBDDs/Fs increased from 72.7 to 700 pg dscm(-1) in the raw, pre-APCS gas and from 1.45 to 9.53 pg dscm(-1) in the post-APCS flue gas; ΣPCDDs/Fs increased from 240 to 960 ng dscm(-1) in the pre-APCS flue gas, and from 1.52 to 16.0 ng dscm(-1) in the post-APCS flue gas. The homologue profile of PBDDs/Fs and PCDDs/Fs in the raw flue gas (steady state and transients) was dominated by hexa- and octa-isomers, while the clean flue gas homologue profile was enriched with tetra- and penta-isomers. The efficiency of the APCS for PBDD/F and PCDD/F removal was estimated as 98.5% and 98.7%, respectively. The cumulative TEQ(PCDD/F+PBDD/F) from the stack was dominated by PCDD/F: the TEQ of PBDD/F contributed less than 0.1% to total cumulative toxic equivalency of MWC stack emissions.  相似文献

This article is aimed at the investigation of electrical aging of polyesterimide under AC voltage using Weibull statistical analysis. It's shown that the time to breakdown characteristic (Vt) of polyesterimide includes two zones (segments of straight line). The first zone characterizes a statistical dispersion of the intrinsic defects of material. The second zone expresses the real aging of polymer. The potential of multi-spectral visible-near infrared imaging to discriminate beef meat muscles in relation with their type and animal origin was examined in the present study. Two hundred forty muscles of three types (longissimus thoracis, biceps femoris, and semimembranosus) were obtained from the carcasses of three types of animals, two late-maturing cattle types of animals (Limousin and Blond d’Aquitaine) that grow slowly and deposit more muscles and less fat, compared to one early-maturing cattle types of animals (Angus) which tends to have muscles richer in collagen and in intramuscular fat. Two hundred forty cube images were collected with nineteen Ligth Emitting Diodes (405 to 1050 nm) using the Videometer Lab2 device. The image cubes were processed in order to extract image mean spectra and image shape features from co-occurrence and difference of histogram matrices. The results of the partial least square discriminant analysis performed on image texture features and spectral data show a maximum ranging from 63.5 to 83% of good classification depending on the muscle and breed considered. This study demonstrated the promising potential of the visible-near infrared multi-spectral imager to characterize beef meat muscles based on muscle type and its animal origin.  相似文献

Instrumented vehicles are key tools for in-depth understanding of drivers’ behaviours, thus for the design of scientifically based countermeasures to reduce fatalities and injuries. The instrumentation of Powered Two-Wheelers (PTW) has been less widely implemented that for vehicles, in part due to the technical challenges involved. The last decade has seen the development in Europe of several tools and methodologies to study motorcycle riders’ behaviours and motorcycle dynamics for a range of situations, including crash events involving falls. Thanks to these tools, a broad-ranging research programme has been conducted, from the design and tuning of real-time falls detection to the study of riding training systems, as well as studies focusing on naturalistic riding situations such as filtering and line splitting.  相似文献
