Fractionation of human plasma on ion exchanger resin was performed on Amberlite IRC‐718 saturated with metal ions. Depletion of human immunoglobulin G was carried out by column chromatography using Tris‐HCl, pH 7 at different concentrations. Results showed that, when Cu+2 and Ni+2 were adsorbed on the resin, one or two fractions of purified IgG were obtained, respectively. Whereas Fe+2 and Zn+2, both retain IgG and serum albumin or serum albumin alone. Furthermore, the Ni+2‐resin retention of serum proteins is too strong that the use of 700 mMTris‐HCl cannot liberate any other proteins than nonadsorbed serum albumin. In conclusion, this investigation demonstrates that immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography with Cu2+, Ni2+, and Fe2+ immobilized on Amberlite IRC‐718 has the potential to be developed as part of a process to purify IgG out of untreated human plasma as acceptable adsorption and elution levels of IgG could be achieved. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Size-selective sampling of Bacillus anthracis surrogate spores from realistic, common aerosol mixtures was developed for analysis by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). A two-stage impactor was found to be the preferential sampling technique for LIBS analysis because it was able to concentrate the spores in the mixtures while decreasing the collection of potentially interfering aerosols. Three common spore/aerosol scenarios were evaluated, diesel truck exhaust (to simulate a truck running outside of a building air intake), urban outdoor aerosol (to simulate common building air), and finally a protein aerosol (to simulate either an agent mixture (ricin/anthrax) or a contaminated anthrax sample). Two statistical methods, linear correlation and principal component analysis, were assessed for differentiation of surrogate spore spectra from other common aerosols. Criteria for determining percentages of false positives and false negatives via correlation analysis were evaluated. A single laser shot analysis of approximately 4 percent of the spores in a mixture of 0.75 m(3) urban outdoor air doped with approximately 1.1 x 10(5) spores resulted in a 0.04 proportion of false negatives. For that same sample volume of urban air without spores, the proportion of false positives was 0.08.  相似文献

A new paradigm of VANET has emerged in recent years: Internet of Vehicles (IoV). These networks are formed on the roads and streets between travellers who have relationships, interactions and common social interests. Users of these networks exchange information of common interest, for example, traffic jams and dangers on the way. They can also exchange files such as multimedia files. IoV is considered as part of the Internet of Things (IoT) where objects are vehicles, which can create a multitude of services dedicated to the intelligent transportation system. The interest is to permit to all connected vehicles to communicate with each other and/or with a central server, through other vehicles. Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication is the main component, because the services encompassed in the IoV are based on the vehicles in question, such as transmitter, relay and receiver. This work is focusing on designing and developing a Quality of Service (QoS) routing scheme dedicated to IoV networks. Especially, we aim to improve the Greedy Traffic Aware Routing (GyTAR) protocol to support QoS in IoV networks. To evaluate the proposed approach in terms of QoS in the context of IoV networks, the performance metrics such as average end-to-end delay and packet delivery ratio are taken into consideration to analyse the network situation.  相似文献

General Regression Neural Networks (GRNN) have been applied to phoneme identification and isolated word recognition in clean speech. In this paper, the authors extended this approach to Arabic spoken word recognition in adverse conditions. In fact, noise robustness is one of the most challenging problems in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and most of the existing recognition methods, which have shown to be highly efficient under noise-free conditions, fail drastically in noisy environments. The proposed system was tested for Arabic digit recognition at different Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) levels and under four noisy conditions: multispeakers babble background, car production hall (factory), military vehicle (leopard tank) and fighter jet cockpit (buccaneer) issued from NOISEX-92 database. The proposed scheme was successfully compared to the similar recognizers based on the Multilayer Perceptrons (MLP), the Elman Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and the discrete Hidden Markov Model (HMM). The experimental results showed that the use of nonparametric regression with an appropriate smoothing factor (spread) improved the generalization power of the neural network and the global performance of the speech recognizer in noisy environments.  相似文献

A new computer haptics algorithm to be used in general interactive manipulations of deformable virtual objects is presented. In multimodal interactive simulations, haptic feedback computation often comes from contact forces. Subsequently, the fidelity of haptic rendering depends significantly on contact space modeling. Contact and friction laws between deformable models are often simplified in up to date methods. They do not allow a "realistic" rendering of the subtleties of contact space physical phenomena (such as slip and stick effects due to friction or mechanical coupling between contacts). In this paper, we use Signorini's contact law and Coulomb's friction law as a computer haptics basis. Real-time performance is made possible thanks to a linearization of the behavior in the contact space, formulated as the so-called Delassus operator, and iteratively solved by a Gauss-Seidel type algorithm. Dynamic deformation uses corotational global formulation to obtain the Delassus operator in which the mass and stiffness ratio are dissociated from the simulation time step. This last point is crucial to keep stable haptic feedback. This global approach has been packaged, implemented, and tested. Stable and realistic 6D haptic feedback is demonstrated through a clipping task experiment.  相似文献

Many data mining applications involve the task of building a model for predictive classification. The goal of this model is to classify data instances into classes or categories of the same type. The use of variables not related to the classes can reduce the accuracy and reliability of classification or prediction model. Superfluous variables can also increase the costs of building a model particularly on large datasets. The feature selection and hyper-parameters optimization problem can be solved by either an exhaustive search over all parameter values or an optimization procedure that explores only a finite subset of the possible values. The objective of this research is to simultaneously optimize the hyper-parameters and feature subset without degrading the generalization performances of the induction algorithm. We present a global optimization approach based on the use of Cross-Entropy Method to solve this kind of problem.  相似文献

The electrical conductivity of the oxides Li8CeO6 and Li8HfO6, which are thermodynamically stable against Li (1), has been studied under oxygen atmosphere in the temperature range between room temperature and 200°C. As for Li8ZrO6 and Li8SnO6 (2), the materials can be considered as solid electrolytes with medium conductivity. The interpretation of the results, considering the Ca2+ ions as impurities, are in agreement with those based on the diffusion mechanisms of the Li+ ions recently established by 7Li NMR in isostructural oxides by Simpson et al.
