Anatase-TiO2 cylindrical pellets were microwave sintered and partially transformed to rutile-TiO2 .The rutile concentration profile was determined as a function of location within the pellet. The rutile distribution in the microwavesintered pellets was different from that in pellets sintered by conventional fast firing. Temperature profiles within the pellets were estimated using the irreversible nature of the anatase-rutile transformation. The estimated temperature profile within each pellet was not uniform. In the axial direction, maximum temperature occurred in the middle of the pellet. In the radial direction, maximum temperature occurred at 1 mm below the surface of the cylinder wall. Analysis of the temperature profile indicated that, although heat flow occurred in the microwave-sintered pellet, the temperature profile did not change during a microwave exposure of 5–90 min. 相似文献

This paper describes a newly developed GaAs metal semiconductor field-effect transistor (MESFET)-termed p-pocket MESFET-for use as a linear power amplifier in personal handy-phone systems. Conventional buried p-layer technology, the primary technology for microwave GaAs power MESFET's, has a drawback of low power efficiency for linear power applications. The low power efficiency of the buried p-layer MESFET is ascribed to the I-V kink which is caused by holes collected in the buried p-layer under the channel. In order to overcome this problem, we have developed the self-aligned gate p-pocket MESFET which incorporates p-layers not under the channel but under the source and drain regions. This new MESFET exhibited high transconductance and uniform threshold voltage. The problematic I-V kink was successfully removed and an improved power efficiency of 48% was achieved under bias conditions, which resulted in adjacent channel leakage power at 600-kHz offset as low as -59 dBc for 1.9-GHz π/4-shift QPSK modulated input 相似文献

The direct contact melting of a porous material is investigated experimentally and analytically. The phase change material (PCM) is made of fine ice particles of a nearly uniform diameter, which is changed as a parameter. In the analysis, two models are proposed. One is calculated as the direct contact melting of a monolithic sample and another is treated as an assembly of the direct contact melting of the individual particles. As a result, it was found that the heat flux increased with the diameter, due to increase of permeability in a case of small diameter. But, in a case of large diameter, the heat flux decreased as the particle diameter increased because the direct contact melting occurred independently for the individual particles. 相似文献

A fourth-order high-accuracy finite difference method is presented for the bouyancy-driven flow in a square cavity with differentially heated vertical walls. The two bench mark solutions against which other solutions can be compared were obtained. The present solution is seemed to be accurate up to fifth decimal. New biomarkers are needed to further stratify the risk of malignancy in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). Although microRNAs (miRNAs) are expected to be stable biomarkers, they can vary owing to a lack of definite internal controls. To identify universal biomarkers for invasive IPMN, we performed miRNA sequencing using tumor-normal paired samples. A total of 19 resected tissues and 13 pancreatic juice samples from 32 IPMN patients were analyzed for miRNA expression by next-generation sequencing with a two-step normalization of miRNA sequence data. The miRNAs involved in IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma were identified from this tissue analysis and further verified with the pancreatic juice samples. From the tumor-normal paired tissue analysis of the expression levels of 2792 miRNAs, 20 upregulated and 17 downregulated miRNAs were identified. In IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma (INV), miR-10a-5p and miR-221-3p were upregulated and miR-148a-3p was downregulated when compared with noninvasive IPMN. When these findings were further validated with pancreatic juice samples, miR-10a-5p was found to be elevated in INV (p = 0.002). Therefore, three differentially expressed miRNAs were identified in tissues with INV, and the expression of miR-10a-5p was also elevated in pancreatic juice samples with INV. The precipitation of droplets was directly observed on a BaO–B2 O3 melt in a drop shaft experiment. This is the first time that precipitation of droplets has been observed in a 4.5 s drop test. The melt film of 4BaOz96B2 O3 (mol%) held on a platinum wire loop was heated above the critical tem-perature to produce uniformity and was cooled down to the phase separation temperature range. Phase separation of the melt was observed directly with a video camera. Formation of yttrium aluminosilicate glasses containing calcium oxide from batches melted at 1550°C was investigated. Densities and thermal expansion coeflcients were measured for some glasses. Dynamic mechanical properties and adhesive strengths of power feed copolymer and random copolymer synthesized using styrene or methyl methacrylate and n-butyl acrylate were investigated. Although the two systems were synthesized from the same raw materials, power feed copolymer had a very broad transition compared with random copolymer. This fact was explained by the fact that the system synthesized through power feed method was an alloy of copolymers which are a continuous series from monomer A rich copolymers to monomer B rich copolymers. The dynamic mechanical behavior of film cast from solution was almost the same as that of emulsion film, which indicated more extensive application of power feed copolymer. In the P(nBA/St) system, power feed copolymer maintained its adhesive strengths over a wide temperature range compared with random copolymer. The absolute value, however, was not so high.
