Reliability of the current microprocessor technology is seriously challenged by radiation-induced soft errors. Accurate Vulnerability Factor (VF) modeling of system components is crucial in designing cost-effective protection schemes in high-performance processors. Although Statistical Fault Injection (SFI) techniques can be used to provide relatively accurate VF estimations, they are often very time-consuming. Unlike SFI techniques, recently proposed analytical models can be used to compute VF in a timely fashion. Voice service is very demanding in cognitive radio networks (CRNs). The available spectrum in a CRN for CR users varies owing to the presence of licensed users. On the other hand, voice packets are delay sensitive and can tolerate a limited amount of delay. This makes the support of voice traffic in a CRN a complicated task that can be achieved by devising necessary considerations regarding the various network functionalities. In this paper, the support of secondary voice users in a CRN is investigated. First, a novel packet scheduling scheme that can provide the required quality of service (QoS) to voice users is proposed. The proposed scheme utilizes the maximum packet transmission rate for secondary voice users by assigning each secondary user the channel with the best level of quality. Furthermore, an analytical framework developed for a performance analysis of the system, is described in which the effect of erroneous spectrum sensing on the performance of secondary voice users is also taken into account. The QoS parameters of secondary voice users, which were obtained analytically, are also detailed. The analytical results were verified through the simulation, and will provide helpful insight in supporting voice services in a CRN. 相似文献

In this paper, the impact of the mixture of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) + multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) + β-cyclodextrin on the quantity and initial rate of methane dissolved in water is investigated. The experiments were performed at a temperature range of 278.15–303.15 K and an initial pressure of 0.5 MPa. The experimental results show that simultaneous utilization of β-cyclodextrin (0.01 mass fraction), MWCNTs (0.0005 mass fraction), and SDS (0.001 mass fraction) at 278.15 K increases the amount and the rate of methane dissolution in water by 29.90% and 173.78%, respectively, compared to pure water. An increase in the temperature decreases the quantity and the initial rate of methane dissolution in all solutions containing additives. However, no consistent relationship is observed between the temperature and the enhancement percentage of solubility of methane in solutions containing additives. 相似文献

In this survey, we use the emPR-CPA equation of state to model a ternary system of H2S solubility in MDEA aqueous solution at different solution compositions, temperatures, pressures, and acid gas loadings. For electrolyte part of the model, MSA theory and the Born term were used. There were 302 experimental data used in this work. To model a ternary system, at first pure components, then binary subsystems, and finally ternary system were modeled using a reactive bubble point pressure calculation method. Essential oils (EO) are complex secondary metabolites, which are produced by aromatic plants and identified by their powerful odors. Present studies on EO and their isolated ingredients have drawn the attention of researchers to screen these natural products and evaluate their effect on the cardiovascular system. Some EO, and their active ingredients, have been reported to improve the cardiovascular system significantly by affecting vaso-relaxation, and decreasing the heart rate and exert a hypotension activity. Several mechanisms have been proposed for the role of EO and their main active components in promoting the health of the cardiovascular system. The objective of this review is to highlight the current state of knowledge on the functional role of EO extracted from plants for reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and their mechanisms of action. Research on EO has the potential to identify new bioactive compounds and formulate new functional products for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as arterial hypertension, angina pectoris, heart failure, and myocardial infarction. 相似文献

A process for the preparation of mustard protein isolate, comprising steps such as dispersion of defatted meal in 0.1 mol/l NaCl solution, incubation, extraction at alkaline pH, followed by treatment of the protein solution with activated carbon was developed. The protein, coagulated by steam injection, was subjected to separation by centrifugation, washing and spray drying. The parameters evaluated were protein yield, purity, presence of antinutritional factors and nutritional quality of proteins. The protein yield was 58-60%. The purity of the protein isolate was 95%. The hydrolysed products of glocosinolates like isothiocyanates and oxazolidine thione levels, phenolics and phytic acid levels were low in the protein isolate. The in vitro digestibility of the protein isolate was 92.4% compared to 80.6% of the meal. Chemical score of the meal and protein isolate were similar; isoleucine was the first limiting amino acid. The calculated nutritional indices, essential amino acid index, biological value, nutritional index and C-PER of protein isolate were higher compared to meal. The protein quality as indicated by amino acid profile and PDCAAS scores for 10-12-years old and adults were 100. 相似文献
