Anodised zirconium (Zr) foil at 20 V for 1 h in Na2SO4 with 0.5 wt.% NH4F resulted in 6 μm thick anodic oxide film with nanotubular structure. At 50 V the anodic layer is consisted of an irregular inner layer with the nanotubular structure only at the top of the layer. Nonetheless, the anodic oxides formed are crystalline and photocatalytic ability of the anodic oxide was assessed by photodegradation of methyl orange. 相似文献

We have studied the photoluminescence and Raman spectra of a system consisting of a polystyrene latex microsphere coated by CdTe colloidal quantum dots. The cavity-induced enhancement of the Raman scattering allows the observation of Raman spectra from only a monolayer of CdTe quantum dots. Periodic structure with very narrow peaks in the photoluminescence spectra of a single microsphere was detected both in the Stokes and anti-Stokes spectral regions, arising from the coupling between the emission of quantum dots and spherical cavity modes. 相似文献

Classical fluorescence‐based approaches to monitor ligand–protein interactions are generally hampered by the background signal of unbound ligand, which must be removed by tedious washing steps. To overcome this major limitation, we report here the first red fluorescent turn‐on probes for a G protein‐coupled receptor (oxytocin receptor) at the surface of living cells. The peptide ligand carbetocin was conjugated to one of the best solvatochromic (fluorogenic) dyes, Nile Red, which turns on emission when reaching the hydrophobic environment of the receptor. We showed that the incorporation of hydrophilic octa(ethylene glycol) linker between the pharmacophore and the dye minimized nonspecific interaction of the probe with serum proteins and lipid membranes, thus ensuring receptor‐specific turn‐on response. The new ligand was successfully applied for background‐free imaging and quantification of oxytocin receptors in living cells. 相似文献

Formation of enzymeoligoamine complexes was suggestedas an approach to obtain biocatalysts with enhanced resistancetowards inactivation in waterorganic media. Complex formationresults in broadening (by 2040% v/v ethanol) of the rangeof cosolvent concentrations where the enzyme retains its catalyticactivity (stabilization effect). At moderate cosolvent concentrations(2040% v/v) complex formation activates the enzyme (by36 times). The magnitude of activation and stabilizationeffects increases with the number of possible electrostaticcontacts between the protein surface and the molecules of oligoamines(OA). Circular dichroism spectra in the far-UV region show thatcomplex formation stabilizes protein conformation and preventsaggregation in waterorganic solvent mixtures. Two populationsof the complexes with different thermodynamic stabilities werefound in -chymotrypsin (CT)OA systems depending on theCT/OA ratio. The average dissociation constants and stoichiometriesof both low- and high-affinity populations of the complexeswere estimated. This paper describes a cluster-based method for combining differently exposed images in order to increase their dynamic range. Initially an image is decomposed into a set of arbitrary shaped regions. For each region we compute a utility function which is based on the amount of presented information and an entropy. This function is used to select the most appropriate exposure for each region. After the exposures are selected, a bilateral filtering is applied in order to make the interregional transitions smooth. As a result we obtain weighting coefficients for each exposure and pixel. An output image is combined from clusters of input images using weights. Each pixel of the output image is calculated as a weighted sum of exposures. The proposed method allows recovering details from overexposed and underexposed parts of image without producing additional noise. Our experiments show effectiveness of the algorithm for the high dynamic range scenes. It requires no information about shutter speed or camera parameters. This method shows robust results even if the exposure difference between input images is 2-stops or higher. 相似文献

This article focuses on the optimization of PCDM, a parallel, two-dimensional (2D) Delaunay mesh generation application, and its interaction with parallel architectures based on simultaneous multithreading (SMT) processors. We first present the step-by-step effect of a series of optimizations on performance. These optimizations improve the performance of PCDM by up to a factor of six. They target issues that very often limit the performance of scientific computing codes. We then evaluate the interaction of PCDM with a real SMT-based SMP system, using both high-level metrics, such as execution time, and low-level information from hardware performance counters. 相似文献

The analytical performance of an atmospheric pressure sampling, multiple-channel, high-throughput mass spectrometer was investigated using samples of a variety of types. The instrument, based on an array of cylindrical ion traps, was built with four independent channels and here is operated using two fully multiplexed channels (sources, ion optics, ion traps, detectors) capable of analyzing different samples simultaneously. Both channels of the instrument were incorporated within the same vacuum system and operated using a common set of control electronics. A multichannel electrospray ionization source was assembled and used to introduce samples including solutions of organic compounds, peptides, and proteins simultaneously into the instrument in a high-throughput fashion. Cross-talk between the channels of the instrument occurred in the detection system and could be minimized to 1-2% using shielding between detector channels. In this initial implementation of the instrumentation, an upper mass/charge limit of approximately 1300 Th was observed (+13 charge state of myoglobin) and unit mass/charge resolution was achieved to approximately 800 Th. The rather limited dynamic range (2-3 orders of magnitude for low-concentration analytes) is due to cross-talk contributions from more concentrated species introduced into a different channel. Analysis of mixtures of alkylamines and peptides is demonstrated, but analysis of mixtures with a wide spread in mass/charge ratios was not possible due to mass discrimination in the ion optics. Further refinement of the vacuum system and ion optics will allow the addition of more channels of parallel mass analysis and facilitate applications in fields such as proteomics and metabolomics. 相似文献

The theory of H infinity optimal control has the feature of minimizing the worst-case gain of an unknown disturbance input. When appropriately modified, the theory can be used to design a "switching" controller that can be applied to insulin injection for blood glucose (BG) regulation. The "switching" controller is defined by a collection of basic insulin rates and a rule that switches the insulin rates from one value to another. The rule employed an estimation of BG from noisy measurements, and the subsequent optimization of a performance index that involves the solution of a "jump" Riccati differential equation and a discrete-time dynamic programming equation. With an appropriate patient model, simulation studies have shown that the controller could correct BG deviation using clinically acceptable insulin delivery rates. 相似文献
